I bought this rifle in April 2022. Just now have gotten around to shooting it. It is surprisingly accurate at 27-30 yards. That is all the range I have in the back yard

I own one of these rifles. I am getting my best accuracy with two pellets: The H&N Field Target Trophy Green, and the JSB Predator GTO .22 lead-free. The Luxux just LOVES these pellets. At 25 meters, the groups look like a single, ragged-edged hole just slightly larger than the diameter of the pellet. At 50 meters under wind-free conditions, I can cover the 5 shot group with a U.D. 5 cent piece. I haven't found a lead pellet that can duplicate that performance.

Interesting. The heavier FFT shoot pretty darn good for me. I'm at 685 above sea level don't know if that can play a factor. By any chance you own a HW98? I'VE been eyeballing one but don't know if it's worth getting if my other rifles kinda hit that mark already.

@@liquidsteel Sorry, no. I own an Air Arms TX200 Mk 3 and an Air Arms S510 Regulated PCP. No other Weihrauch rifles.

@@liquidsteel I don't know how old your HW95 Luxus is. I got mine exactly one year ago. I suggest you look at the AEAC review of this rifle here on UA-cam. Steve puts the rifle through its paces, and his experience was also that the alloy pellets outshot the lead pellets.

8.44 joules works out at 6 foot pounds? am I missing something or is this rifle 1/2 the power of what it should be? 12 foot pounds for full power In uk.

I cannot decide between the HW95 Luxus or HW80 SL. Both in 5.5mm. The prices are similar too

Hi. Excellent review. I think the best one I have seen on the HW95. I have heard that the grip at the front can cause a few issues even with the artillery hold. One question. I might have missed in your video. What distance were you shooting from the targets ? Pick mine up in a couple of weeks time in the UK. Thanks also for the time in doing the translation to English. 👍

  • @oldschoolbudapestworkout2105

If I understood well, HW98K and HW95 are the same rifle?
Because I’m planning to buy a 95 tomorrow, but I already have a 98 one.

I don't know if it compares equally in accuracy to the Diana 54 . After seeing your video on it. I think it might be my dream spring air rifle. Thanks for the great reviews

I have a 54 in .22 and they are a very very heavy target gun, not a field rifle in any sense. It has the recoil absorbing system similar in basic function to that of the howitzer. Yes incredibly accurate, but not a gun I would ever purchase again. The HW 95 is much more shootable in the practical world, tack driving accuracy given some practise, and a purchase I would never regret.

Thanks for your input I appreciate it, I have never held a 54 so I have nothing to compare it to. I may have changed my mind. Once again thank you. May I ask you if you had the choice of only one springer which one would you keep? I am not in a position to buy anymore pellet gun. I purchased so many Springer's but nothing in top end. I am just trying to pick the best one money is not an issue if I only have to buy one more.

@@jimstewart5008 Hi..I have many many springers( Diana, Kral, Hatsan, Webley, Stoeger, Crosman, Walther, Weirhauch, Gamo, Norica, Cometa ) in my history, and hate to be boring but in my opinion and in my experience,, nothing else, even Walther ( Terrus )or Diana ( mod 54 in .22 mod 34 in .177 ) , can compare to the Weirhauch. Perhaps Air Arms may be in that class but I have not owned one, they are extremely pricey here in Canada.

@@jimstewart5008 Never owned either, but would say the only operational drawback to these could be the loading port. In the sliding cylinder design, I have found that loading / accessing / viewing the loading port can be a bit cumbersome and time consuming,
versus a traditional break barrel design.
