Great video! While I've already done this install with almost the exact same radio, it's good to get a review of the install, especially since I wanna stick my radio out a little further so the bezel actually stays in place rather than always be popping out. Cheers!
You can probably buy from one of the resellers that do worldwide shipping but I think it would be easier to buy from Crutchfield in America. Here's an example harness for 2009 Fit: www.crutchfield.com/g_103000/Wiring-Harnesses.html
Hey great video of the install! You say you got the head unit moulding from ebay? I am really struggling to find one that doesnt include a screen already?? What did you search to find this item?
Hey man, this video helped me a lot with installing my own display! I was wondering, what did you do with the passenger airbag button? Did you just plug the button back in and left it hanging behind the head unit? If I don't plug it in the red airbag light comes on once I turn on the car.
Hey glad it helped. Looks like Australian version of these cars don't have that feature. If it were me I'd probably try and cut the new fascia to mount the button is a similar spot as OEM if I were faced with that issue definitely don't want to leave it unplugged though.
The wire itself came with the headunit. If you mean for routing I went between the gap of the steering column. Haven’t fixed it to a permanent spot as I keep adjusting it when someone says its a bit noisy but i think a good spot is at the headliner above the rearview mirror.
Just checking out the cables, so to retain the steering wheel control, I need to use CHH06C for the first step and for step 2..do I order based on the type of Stereo unit brand that I will be getting? Also with the Honda Antenna, do i really to buy it, can I not use the existing antenna?
Yup you need CHH06C for the headunit and steering wheel controls to be converted into ISO standard for step 1. Correct again for step 2 get the one that suits the brand of headunit. You do need to buy the antenna as it converts the existing antenna plug to the same type that afternarket headunits use. If you pop out your headunit you can check it all before purchasing. Best of luck!
@@YuyuJitekiGarage Thanks for the advice. With the usb cable for Pioneer stereo connection to the phone. Where did you end up feeding it out to? Did you make a seperate USB hole in the dashboard ?
Hey Daniel, probably not the same for your car it is much newer. If your in Australia check out the Aerpro website it’ll tell you everything you need for the headunit you want to install.
Hi. Can you give instructions on how to remove the head unit with the new after-market panel is installed? This was installed in my car few years ago and I can't remember how to remove it. Hehe.
Hey, depending on the headunit it can be a bit tricky but the idea is to push from behind the head unit from behind through the glovebox opening (still pretty much same as OE) an usually there is no bolt holding in the aftermarket headunits like OE.
what would one connect the blue wire of the antenna with? hope for a quick reply, as my dashboard is disassembled and i need to put it together soon...
I did not use the blue wire. I taped it with electrical tape. My understanding is that wire is used for cars that have old style antennas that go up when the radio is turned on.
@@YuyuJitekiGarage i thoght so too but then i researched more and saw that even if its not a mechanical antenna that goes up, the amplification provided does make the reception much much better... i researched some more and it seems that i simply need to attach it to the "remote control" cable, which is blue with a white line. ill just try it out and see if it works. anyway, thanks for the quick reply
The headunit itself has a fuse behind it. If you mean in the car on Aus cars it is under the steering wheel near the foot pedals should be a diagram of what does what.

Very true! possible to buy a no brand headunit that has Apple Carplay and then splice the wires instead of buying a wiring harness. Probably half the cost!

Thanks for this video. Now all I need is the confidence to take apart my old unit.......and the money to get me one of those sony units. 😅
Thank you! You can do it. I think Axis make a slightly cheaper unit not sure if they have premade wiring for them though.
thank you! this was the most helpful video. please keep this up!
is there any way i can get the aerpro parts in/shipped to america?

All the jazz owners running back to their car to check out the diagnostic mode that they had no clue about 😂
Haha! Might make someone reconsider going to an aftermarket headunit for a few seconds.
Thanks. I think there is no video as in deep as this one. Keep it up
Thank you! This was interesting to film in a small space.
Thanks for the idea of doing this.
p.s. Like the shirt & its declarations.

Nice instructional video thanks. I like the look of that Pioneer unit at the end do you know what model that is?
Thanks!
The Pioneer is a AVH-Z5250BT. Chose that one for the CD player.
best guide I could find thanks g

I wish you’re here in NSW so I can hire your services bro.
I’ve always wondered what the GE Jazz community is like in NSW.

Can you do a video on how to replace the light bulb behind the air flow control knob please? Honda fit 2013
thank you.
I'll have a look into it! Thanks for watching!
hey, i just installed one in mine. just wondering what you did with the extra plugs
I just taped them up with electrical tape for now. I plan to wire in a reversing camera eventually but I probably won't ever run the park switch wire.

Still chugging along!
Hi I just bought a 2010 Honda Jazz gli but I don't have any control button on the steering wheel. Did you install it or did it come with it?
I think only the VTi and VTi-S models came with audio system control buttons on the steering wheel

Hi mate , where did you get the wiring for the steering control?
Ordered it all from Autobarn (an auto store chain in Australia if you live elsewhere)
I wonder why you chose to go this route instead of one of the Chinese android tablets? They seem to fill in the dash and look more oem

Hey this actually never crossed my mind. They look pretty good I'll have to try out next time!
where do I get the front to install the screen
I got mine from Ebay but it's a generic part you can get from pretty much all the online vendors. Aerpro has a kit too if in Australia
