G'day Everyone!
Do you like working on cars or understanding how it all comes together? Or just wish someone would share their experience of attempting to DIY repair and modify cars?
Someone that could make the mistakes so you could avoid them or point them out?
For the longest time I have enjoyed working on cars and struggled with the limited knowledge I have when I came across the thought that if I'm having these problems then it is very possible somebody somewhere out there is going through the same thing or about to in the future.
Wouldn't it be great if they had something to reference to help them out no matter how specific the issue?
While there is plenty of fantastic information already on UA-cam I hope to add pieces of information I notice missing in a way that is some parts informative and other parts just easy to watch.
Hope I have something to offer you whether it be information, laughs or even just a way to destress or get motivated.
Let's get wrenching!

Mazda MX5 NB8A Engine Removal
Hi Everyone, in this one I'm removing the engine (BP4W) non VVT from the MX-5 (NB8A) with the transmission using an engine crane.
It might be useful to you if you want to tackle this job I managed to do it without missing a single wire or connection! I make plenty of mistakes in the actual lifting of the engine though but all in all it was fun for my first time removing an engine.
Note it is really a good idea to have the front bumper off the car as the engine crane likes to move forward during the lifting phase and might damage the bumper.
Hope you enjoy the video.
Catch you in the next one!

Mazda MX5 1999 - 2000 Cylinder Head Removal
Переглядів 9703 роки тому
Hi Everyone, in this one I'm removing the cylinder head from the MX-5 (NB8A) while the engine is still in the car. It might be useful to you if you are certain all you have is a blown headgasket and a skim of the cylinder head at an engine shop. I'm doing the absolute minimum for this one! Hope you enjoy the video. Catch you in the next one!

MX-5 IL Motorsport Aluminium Pedals
Переглядів 2,5 тис.3 роки тому
Hi Everyone, today I'm finally getting around to doing something on the MX-5 while I wait for my engine parts. I've had this lying around for a while and thought I'd try a few new things while filming. There's more of a focus on some of the new tracks I've made so sorry if you can't hear me talking but I'm probably not saying anything important anyway...subtitles to the rescue! Also forgot to m...

Hi Everyone, In this one Jazzy Jazzu's getting the first mod CARPLAY!!! I've got the budget branded name model the Sony XAV1000 that does Carplay but not Android Auto. I'm installing this the easy / lazy man's way with everything being plug and play. I've used the kit to retain the steering wheel controls from Aerpro check out their handy part selector if you're looking for plug and play: aerpr...
Buying a used Honda Jazz
Переглядів 20 тис.3 роки тому
Hi Everyone, I needed to get a new daily to get to and from work. I've had to buy my first non 2 door car (goodbye coupe life) and my first automatic ever. I've got to take this car on the freeway everyday so I'm giving it a thorough check to make sure it doesn't leave me stranded or in a dangerous situation. I didn't need to how much brake pads were left because in Victoria that is a Roadworth...

Megasquirt 101 EP 4: Physical Install and First Start
Переглядів 3543 роки тому
Hi Everyone, today I will finally be dropping the Megasquirt into the car. Towards the end of the video the edit buggered up a bit and it doesn’t show the crank marks lining up with the T and 10 but they do I'm going to cover: - Running the vacuum line (MAP input) - Replacing the stock ECU - Installing Tuner Studio and Mega Log Viewer - Connecting to Megasquirt through a laptop - All settings y...
Megasquirt 101 EP 3: JRP AFR Gauge Install - MX5 Vent Gauge Install
Переглядів 2,3 тис.3 роки тому
Hi Everyone, Today I'll be installing a JRP (Just Race Parts) AFR gauge to compliment the wideband upgrade from the previous episode. I couldn't wait to see the gauge in action and actually hooked it up months ago so I'm installing a water temp gauge as well that has a similar style. It will be great for a comparison (spoiler the JRP is awesome and I will be replacing the water temp gauge with ...
Megasquirt 101 EP 2: Wideband Controller and o2 Sensor Install
Переглядів 3,8 тис.3 роки тому
Hi Everyone, Today I'm installing a Spartan wideband controller and changing the factory narrowband o2 sensor to a wideband sensor to get the MX5 ready for an aftermarket ECU. I'm going to wire the sensors to the factory connector and make a couple of extra connectors so that I can have the sensor working with the factory ECU as well as an aftermarket ECU. I don't go into too much detail about ...
MX-5 Crankbolt Thread Repair
Переглядів 423 роки тому
Hi Everyone, Well this is embarassing. I made a very silly mistake while checking my crank position sensor air gap I failed to take my wrench off my crankbolt and started the car. The end result was the bolt backing out and stripping the threads on the block and the bolt itself. This is my first time ever using a tap and die kit but we will see how it goes! Thanks for tuning in. Catch you in th...

P0011 - Honda Accord 7th Gen Fix
Переглядів 7 тис.3 роки тому
Hi Everyone, today I tackle an issue on my Dad's Honda Accord. The car has been accelerating pretty poorly and is using a lot more fuel that it usually does so it's time to take a look. The steps I use to fix the problem can also fix similar check engine codes that involve the VTC (the system that operates the advance or retardation of the cam) not to be confused with the VTEC system which is l...
I have same car with yours, how many sparkplugs the car have ? Some mechanic said 1.3L 2009 i-vtec have 8 sparkplugs. Please enlighten me. Thank you.
Buen video. 😊
I just had a Honda Dealer workshop do the sparkplug and valves service - funny it is that after they did the valves they are ticking more than before ... IM not sure if thay are suppose to ?? - I know on my motorcycle the valves get tighter over time - but dunno about the jazz ...anyone know ???
Those spark plugs look like a chore to get to. I did a service once on a gen 1 jazz/fit and I could just reach around the back and between the wires and get them out. Cough, you should check a autobox while te engine is running (and after running for a while). Otherwise you get a false reading.
Thanks!
you remind me of my badminton coach who worked in IT back in highschool
Nice work man. よくできた。
Error 1. why don't you use a torque wrench?? The two quarters you give empirically, is a lot. Mistake 2. We fill the oil filter with oil, even if the position does not offer... good luck George Engineer from Corinth Greece
Shoulda adjusted valves also
Don't use ryco filters. They are overpriced junk made in China by G.U.D. as many rebrands are. Honda genuine air, then fleetguard or mann for the rest. O.E.M can filters are often made by fram,G.U.D or champion (Indonesia). Mann and fleetguard filter for jazz is half the price of ryco and is far superior in quality.
A yellow sounding like a aussie. Can you get any more wannabe?
Hi sir , would you happen to know what the offset of this vibe S rim is? I have plans of putting this on my Suzuki swift 2010 model. Thank you
I kiss you eye my friend
Hey great video of the install! You say you got the head unit moulding from ebay? I am really struggling to find one that doesnt include a screen already?? What did you search to find this item?
dont suppose you know where the crank shaft sensor is on a honda jazz (2011) do you?
Great video! While I've already done this install with almost the exact same radio, it's good to get a review of the install, especially since I wanna stick my radio out a little further so the bezel actually stays in place rather than always be popping out. Cheers!
I appreciated the humor!
But do the after market enkei for example have a higher crack rate?
Thanks! 👍
Hi I just bought a 2010 Honda Jazz gli but I don't have any control button on the steering wheel. Did you install it or did it come with it?
I think only the VTi and VTi-S models came with audio system control buttons on the steering wheel
Does changing the transmission fluid this way on a manual work as well?
9:07 Don't you replace the oil crush washer with a new one when reattaching the oil drain plug?
How’s the car going with that transmission fluid? I’m thinking to use atf fs from penrite.
Wow, changing the spark plugs is a pretty big job. It's a 10 to 15 minute job to do the same thing on a Yaris. That Jazz takes a lot more effort, skill and time. Great video, thanks for sharing.
at what point does he do that ?
@@marvin2678 At whatever point scheduled maintenance requires the spark plugs changed, or when required to rectify a cylinder misfire. The point being, with some designs it is a straight forward and simple task, with others, for example that require manifold removal and other component disassembly to access the spark plugs, it's a more complex task. The Toyota Yaris as referred, is a simple job to replace spark plugs and or ignition coil packs.
I've been weighting a long time for a video like this. I'll show myself out.
Pls make more videos on jazz mate great content. Just bought one yesterday
What is the oil SAE used on this model as I have the same car and it's run for 100000kms + and which one should be suitable?
Good vid before i say anything else. Wow ! is this car the winner of `most PITA to change the plugs` ?
No way ,it goes to the hyundai SUV that needed engine removal to get to the 6th plug, 😅
I got this one at 230000 miles sounds the same only when you hard accelerate i notice like a chain noise
All simple . And even the valve adjustment is very.simple.task
Hi There. I have a 2014 Honda Fit with a CVT. The car is nine years old, but only had 12000 miles on the clock. The transmission oil has never been changed. Should I change it? Many thanks!
That CVT fluid should be change every 40,000 KM or 2 years.
You should also inspect/adjust your valve clearances and replace the valve cover gasket when removing the cowl for spark plugs. Good vid.
Only if the tappets are noisy.
@@Nozinbonsai But maybee also if you cant hear them at all - because they got to tight ??
@bjornmeier385 true, but with hardened seats they don't wear into the head as much .but always best to check.
Thanks for the idea of doing this. p.s. Like the shirt & its declarations.
Great Video! Super clear on how to install aswell! Bought some for myself after this video, thanks 😊
Did you have to upgrade the speakers? Oh this video was posted 2 years ago. Never mind 🤣🤣
Still on the stock speakers!
One of the most reliable car !
Great vid👍🏻
hallo Yuyu Jiteki how's going with the black JAZZ?
Still chugging along!
how to know the transmission if it is CVT non CVT
I believe the easiest way to spot is by looking at what gear lever. Traditional autos have D, D3, 2 and 1. Where as the CVT should have D, S and L
It’s crazy how unhelpful this video is.
Am going to do this on my fit. You motivated me to do my own service, thank you 😊 🙏🏾
You got this!
hod did it go ?
Thank you
Hi mate , where did you get the wiring for the steering control?
Ordered it all from Autobarn (an auto store chain in Australia if you live elsewhere)
too expensive.. 😅
Very true! possible to buy a no brand headunit that has Apple Carplay and then splice the wires instead of buying a wiring harness. Probably half the cost!
Why did you want an Automatic?
I think I would prefer a manual as this is the only automatic I own (it probably would have been cheaper if there was a manual available at the time). In short Covid had just caused issues with the 2nd hand market but I needed a car ASAP.
I got an 09 Jazz today and I love it but I'm afraid of doing the valve adjusting😣
That's next on my list to tackle! Can be daunting opening up the engine. Might be worth leaving it alone.
@@YuyuJitekiGarage Hey bro returned to your amazing vid today to tell you that I did the valves, coils, plugs and tie rod ends (after 600 us$ of total parts and labor🙄) the car seems to be quieter and more fuel efficient... Now planing to do the ATF but I have a question for you, how much did you put above that 12:13 ? because mine is above H letter when measured hot (70 seconds)
do you know where is the motor temperature sensor location?
Haven't looked into it yet! Did you find it?
There are two Engine Coolant Temperature sensors; ECT 1 and ECT 2. ECT 1 is located on the cylinder head below the throttle body and ECT 2 is located at the bottom of the radiator
Did it come with the USB adapter or did you have to buy that separately?
Bought that seperately from them. Comes with the serial connection.
Excellent video really comprehensive covers a lot of ground just enough detail thank you
Good work Yuyu
Thank you!
