i got gs 430 manual supercharged too, mine is eaton m112 and manual gearbox from bmw 3.0d with single mass light weight flyeweel. on rx8 injectors and emu black ecu dynoed 450+hp (unopened motor)

Thanks for all the time and effort you put into these vids. Love the camera angles so you can see what’s happening under the hood. The stick shift and super charger sound fab through those proxs mufflers. Installed my proxs units and straight piped the resonators last month and love it. Nice job man!
Tha k you! Just to clarify, I no longer run the ProXS mufflers. I changed the exhaust up quite a bit since then. It’s basically a bunch of Total Flow Race Bullets back there. Anyway, thanks again and glad you noticed the canasta angles and stuff. Shooting and editing is laborious, even at 6min of footage used. 👍

My series outlines all your questions. Short answer: no, but the ATEMU (or an ECU flash in your case) will bring out full power potential.

To bad Lexus didn’t do a limited SC version of GS 400 / 430. Would have been a force to reckoned with on the stop light scuffles.

WHAT IS THE HORSE POWER AT THE WHEELS?
I can’t say. Never dyno’d it. A guesstimate is 315whp.

Probably not. Not really in the budget and local dyno shops are being pricks about pricing and even filming in there. My friend had the same pulley on the same exact car and did 330whp and TQ. He has an IC and headers, so I would say I’m almost definitely at 315-320whp. It feels strong!

Once you get older like me the desire to perform car-thrashing maneuvers subsides quite a bit. Plus these tires cost a fortune so I would like them to last a while. 😆
Is there an ideal year or year range for the GS400 to look for? I was not aware of any other significant changes in the life cycle of the car until it became the GS430 before it was retired. I know in the LS400s, the pre 1994 1UZ had a stronger stock bottom end, but the GS400s were the same every year right?
Correct. A desirable GS400 would be an unmolested, dealer-optioned and modded (L-tuned or similar) black interior version. Mechanically they’re all the same. The 3UZ can be ECU tuned and the 400 cannot, if that matters to you.

I hear ya. This all kind of fell into place. My trans started slipping at WOT so I did the swap. The SC’r was probably because I got tired of modern minivans keeping up with me. 😂
@@ForwardMomentum For me, it's all about the sound it makes. The whine from the SC on a 2nd gen CTS-V is a symphony. I'd love to know if I could fit that same exact SC on this engine in the GS or any other Lexus I have wanted now for so long.
The cars were mostly improved thru production line refinements from 1998-2000. Get at 2000 if you can find one

Well it’s probably low to mid 13’s in the 1/4mi. You can compare that to stuff from the same era. What’s sad is modern minivans darn near run 13’s these days. 🤣
@@ForwardMomentum The GS400 runs mid high ish 13s stock so it's more like in the mid low 12s now especially if you tune it again after installing the supercharger
The fastest published 1/4mi time for the GS400, when new, was 14.3. There’s no way I’m in the 12’s.
@@ForwardMomentum With a manual swap and a supercharger and if you tuned the fuel ratio to 12 you possibly could be
I mean I’ll take it, but I would need an LSD and drag radials too, plus the willingness to bang gears and break the trans and smoke the clutch. 😆
