  • April 2024's edition of the Weston Park classic car show greeted a record turnout of classic British cars, classic sports cars, American cars and more with automotive history from the 1920s to the 1990s appearing in this full walkaround of the great event.
We arrived early in the Mazda MX5 Mk1, and after a costly trip around one of the great autojumbles that come with any Classic Shows events, I headed over to the entrance to watch and talk about the lovely classic cars that were queued up to enter the unfortunately boggy field (which did claim a couple of casualties as you will see!).
After that expect the usual full walkaround of the amazing turnout at the 2024 Weston Park car show, plus a great insight into the history of a Sunbeam-Talbot tourer.
If you liked this classic car show walkaround video of one of the first big car shows of 2024 in the UK, then please let me know what you thought in the comments below - did you recognise any of the classic cars in this video?
Also remember to subscribe to ensure you don't miss out on any automotive delights of the 2024 classic car show season, and check out the channel homepage for past events.
    Thanks for watching!

That Morris Minor and the other little ones are real labours of love - they weren't built to last, mind, so to see them so cared for is heartening - tip my hat to their owners.

Great video Harley. You have Car Traction but I see some of the participants had cars but no traction.

I love the auto jumble for tools and my favourite car was the white cinquecento. I have 2 cinquecentos and as a first car they would be perfect, cheap, simple and square. Easy car to do your test in and maintain yourself......👍🇮🇪

The twin headlights on the 3 litre Capri were only available on the 3000 GXL model if my memory serves me correct.

Excellent video Harley and your videos just keep getting better. Your knowledge is expanding exponentially. I know someone, and so do you, who has an A40 languishing away in the corner of a garage somewhere that is need of some TLC. You both have managed to monopolise my Sunday morning. The interesting car is a Noddy car and Noddy was a kids cartoon and puppet character but well before your time and he "drove" a car like that. His partner was called Big Ears for obvious reasons.

Hello Harley. Fantastic car display. I like the MG Magnette at the beginning. A very rare model now. You didn't slip over in the boggy mud there Harley. Or did dad go down. I'm waiting for an old Triumph Mayflower to turn up at a show you attend. I've been viewing channels where people have posted their Mayflower on UA-cam. A great black 1953 model I was viewing . They are such an unusual shape, I thought they were funny when I would see one putting along the road many years ago. Good show thanks from Carl in NZ.

Due to old codger philosophy study and gardening this the first for a while but I am very, very impressed by your every increasing knowledge and confident, mature voice over. I am just pf to do some voluntary work andwill this watch the whole of this later. Brilliant! Harley.

Wow Harley (long time no speak). I think that has to be one of your best vlogs yet. You have matured so much, your knowledge has grown exponentially, you have also gained the knack of talking like you are talking to a friend, not easy to keep the fluidity up but, you nailed it.
Like you I adore the pre war cars, so elegant, but not for modern traffic or every day use.
Some beautiful cars, I like the P4 or P5b Rovers.
So, here’s the question, I know it’s a huge field to choose from but, one car for you to take home?
Mine is going to be the Lancia Intergrali in Martini colours.
Spill the beans, did Dad buy you the Snowstorm can?
I was wondering as a young chap are you interested in motorbikes or scooters? As when we were young we couldn’t afford to wait to get mobile and couldn’t afford cars?
Anyway, I truly believe you would have a future in motor journalism (if you want) we need some genuinely committed youngsters to boost the community who are not full of their own importance.
Anyway, like you said “I’m waffling”
    Briliant

Thanks - I'll try to address your questions!
My favourites included the gold Sunbeam Rapier, Simca Aronde and the great Jensen CV8.
Haha no I just came back with the featured tins and cans.
Funnily enough a mate at school rides a 50cc scooter daily as we are 16 so legal, however for now I'll persevere with the rattly school bus!
I would love a future in motoring journalism or something similar, hence the setup of the CarTraction YT channel!

That looked a muddy affair, bet a few owners were busy when they got home with the jet wash... Great vid , someone else has already mentioned this but that Fiat 500 was a kids book and later a TV series car, Noddy was the main character ( yes I am old enough to have read the Enid BLyton books as a small kid, lol)

Got back to enjoy the whole thing which was a real marathon during which you never flagged in your professional voice over. It is not sycophancy when say it was brilliant as you wandered round and explained the delicious collection of many gorgeously fantastic cars. I bet you needed a long rest when you and dad got home, but hopefully not before you put you new shed items in! Lol
