Lost forever/lost together and All our gods have abandoned us are their best albums hands down and will always have a special place in my heart. Perfect mix of beauty and emotion both somber and ferocious. But even when they tone it down with what few songs we have heard so far for this new album, and some fans really dislike this new sound, they just murder it with their literal perfection of song making and creative ability. This is a whole new type of song for them and it just captivates you like you are in a trance. They just can’t screw it up, what an insanely talented band.
That instrumental in the beginning is probably one of my favorite part of the song, that and Sam's cleans are nice like tbh I love the heavy architects but i loved this song was on repeat for a bit lol.
Love the song from beginning to end, the pretty chorus that goes into the bit heavier part, the drums, the complete song all is well put together. The emotional load/feeling it gives troughout, I just love it.
Man let me tell you.. if you guys go back and listen to the live, it's so much better. The emotion in Sam's belts are so much more impactful, and he does some different melodies towards the end that I honestly prefer
I've listened to the architects since the beginning, they are still my favourite band and I feel that their sound has grown with me as I've got older too. Bands get grief for changing it up but they also get grief for churning out the same old stuff. You cant please everyone all of the time! This is a truly beautiful song 🖤🦋
The music genres exist in the theory, in the reality now exist the good and bad music product of mix different tendencies , and this band is an example of the very very good music and the new evolution of metalcore.
Loved the reaction, Architects is just amazing. They are without a doubt in my top 3 bands. I got to see them live with Thy Art is Murder and While She Sleeps...it was fucking amazing! One of the best shows I've seen. Oh and I also just bought a Get Shit Done shirt from you guys! Stoked about that
Best songs: Animals, Black Lungs, Libertine (one of my favorites 🔥🔥), Impermanence (ft. Winston McCall), Little Wonder (ft. Mike Kerr - also one of my favorites 🔥🔥), Goliath (ft. Simon Neil), and Demi God (love the egyptian vibe). Easily one of the best albums of 2021, and the year barely started. No words to express how much this band has evolved since the early days.
Calm melodies like these really intensify harder breaks like the one at 06:36, satisfying as hell BMTH made an amazing job at combining styles and it's the hardest, but Architects is able to both evolve into a new sound while keeping clear marks of their core identity. Look at how they combined their Holy Hell "anthem rock" style of 06:52 with the "anthem pop" melody of the chorus, transition is smoooth
Totally agree with Wyatt. It's so refreshing to hear a new sound from Architects. Their old stuff is amazing and some of their best work, but unfortunately their key songwriters passed (R.I.P Tom) and they had to evolve.. Took me a while to get accustomed to it, but their new sound is amazing
Commenting before the vid. Just got out of work after working for almost a month straight. Super excited for the new song and decided to listen to it and see your guys reaction at the same time
I'm not sure how I feel about this song yet.. I hope it grows on me! I've only listened to it a couple times now so I need to give it more of a chance before I make my decision.
I love this song! Gosh I just don't know what else to say! Such an impactful song in my opinion. But you have to be in the right mood for it too. But still I love it so much!
Yeah, I think you'll end up digging this album a lot Wyatt. It's so much Dan, and Sam has absolutely stepped up and expanded his range. Oh, and there's 2 huge tracks (if you don't include Black Lungs and Animals, which I kinda do).
I loved how you guys are so into this song, it's my new favorite, I first heard it on Sirius on the Octane channel... Wyatt, I dig the way you play drums, so I ask, is there any chance that you can do a cover of this song and Animals?? And if you two are not dating, why the fuck not? Thanks for sharing 😊
Funny you mention the mix, cause is Zakk Cervini who is mixing the new songs of Architects, and I discovered him cause when the last album of BMTH came out, all the songs sounded different, and in my opinion better in context of clarity and punch, than ludens and parasite eve, and was cause he mixed all the rest of the album. His mixes sound HUGE!
Am I the only person that when sam sings the dead butterfly parts all I can think of is sal from impractical jokers when he sung dead butterfly’s at that baseball game???
For me 1. Black Lungs easily 2. Animals 3. Dead Butterflies Btw I'm not an Architects fan these are the only songs I've heard fully. I'm gonna sit down and listen to all their stuff cause the little from other songs I've heard sounded really good
They're going in a more melodic and experimental direction with their new singles, Black Lungs is the one that sounds the most like them. Ckeck out the songs Gone with the wind and Doomsday, they're iconic
@@omegazx7236 just listened to Doomsday, loved it but i can definitely hear a mix of these new songs. Doomsday in comparison to the new songs, it sounds like a combination Black Lungs and Dead Butterflies. Definitely experimenting but definitely still got their sound based of just that song

Thnk for the reaction 🤩
*Bring me the horizon* : "One Day The Only Butterflies Left Will Be In Your Chest As You March Towards Your Death"
*Architects* : "Dead butterflies" 💪
I think this will be their new ending anthem at gigs! Such an anthem feeling!
Agreed
Can confirm the ending for their gigs in the UK was Animals ;)
This was an absolute sing along anthem though

Drummer: *does a splash*
Wyatt: “OooOOohhaaA”
What Interstellar would sound like if Architects wrote for it.

That song delivers some serious "that's the spirit" vibes and I love it
Was thinking the same thing for sure

I need to find me a girl that looks at me the way Lindsay looks at Wyatt when he starts headbanging.
The trumpets were deff lit at the beginning. Gives me heavy Dragon Ball vibes 🐉
The horns make the music so deep and more powerful in the music... Just amazing
