As a mother and Grandmother, I want you to give your own mother a message from me that she raised one of the kindest, most sensitive and humble men I’ve ever known. You are not only highly intelligent, but you are extremely articulate and thorough in your explanation of how things are getting restored and refurbished in your house. You have a great reverence and respect for history. Who taught you to be the man that you are? Best wishes for your continued progress and never give up on your vision.

Couldn’t have said it any better myself. Caleb and Kim thank you for saving and restoring this beautiful old girl to her former glory 💚👏😊so sorry on the loss of your beloved fur baby. You and your family are making this house beautiful again and I thank you for saving history. Can’t wait to someday hopefully be able to stay if part of your home is a bed-and-breakfast at the hall in brown mansion in St. Louis Missouri💜

I couldnt agree more! You have a natural ability for teaching others. Not everyone does! And if you dont have it, it is a difficult thing to master. I hope somw day you are able to do small workshops for people who are doing exactly what you are doing!

Oh, yes, please! A tour with things looking spiffy would be great! It can’t stay spiffy, I know, because it’s a work site. As long as it’s already cleaned up, I’d absolutely LOVE to see it!! As would everyone who wasn’t able to visit in person, I’m sure! I’m happy you had such a nice turnout. It must have been so fun to meet people and match names to faces. 🥰
I can’t wait for all of the big projects that are in the works. So many things to do! Chicago definitely sounds like a more reasonable journey - keeping my fingers crossed the product works out as you hope it will! 🤞

Don't be hard on yourself, losing a pet is so tough, they are a member of the family. Maybe see if there is a way you can add something to the house that keeps the memory of the puppy. You guys are doing an amazing job!

I'm excited about the basement temporary shower/laundry facilities. Every quality of life improvement like this pays dividends over the life of the entire project. The HVAC project as well. Obviously it will be fun to see the facade come back to life with the limestone repair and the mansard roof restoration, I especially am looking forward to seeing those dormer gables and window frames finally put back in shape. But the ability to live in the house is every bit as cool as these visual transformations, if not more so. I know some of your viewers only want to see before and afters, but I think a lot of us are here for all of this 'real world renovation' content as well.

All of these plans sound absolutely amazing! Having a shower and air conditioning and even a private washer/dryer in your home are enormous leaps in livability! Everything that you invest in now will save you time and money in the future, and it's so exciting to see the house retain its history as much as possible, while also being a practical and livable space. You're right -- if it's the dead of summer or winter and you can't enjoy all your hard work because it's just too darn hot or freezing cold, then it doesn't matter how beautiful the rooms are. I know I speak not only for myself when I say that the love you pour into this home will come back to you tenfold. I've said it before but I'll say it time again, your work is inspiring! (P.S., congratulations on the tour turnout, I would certainly vote for a virtual walk-through or anything that you feel like sharing!) Much love from Florida :) x

I prefer cold weather to hot weather so why am I living in West Texas where today is to be 108? Because my grandkids are here! I so wish I could have been there for the tour of your Grand Lady and the other homes in the neighborhood. I would love to see a video of the tour and all the lucky folks there. The projects coming up sound wonderful, especially the shower and A/C. You are so sweet and kind natured with people and big hearted. I agree with Sunny that never giving up on your vision and dream takes courage and love. Anxious to see what has been found with the metal detector again! love from rural Texas.

It makes sense you'd find a limestone product in Chicago because a lot of houses and government buildings were built using Indiana limestone. My parents house built in 1958 had beautiful rough cut pieces of Indiana limestone under the front picture window as " brick". The rest of the house was finished brick on the front and common brick on the other 3 sides. The house cost $20,000 and my parents put $100 down to secure the purchase of the house with the developer. My how times and housing prices have changed.
Love all the house updates. I'd love to see a tour video.
Pets are dear to our hearts and we love them so much so their loss is hard to accept. I'm sure Aspen will be remembered with love and good memories of all the fun and goofy things he did.

My dog Bentley came into my life when I was just 8 years old, and he was my best friend all the way through high school. It was the most difficult thing I went through to deal with his loss when he finally passed, and throughout my entire life I've never been as close with another animal as I was with him. He was there for me when nobody else was, and I'll never forget him.

Absolutely would love to see a video tour of your tour last weekend! Losing a fur baby is never easy, they are such an important part of our families! ❤️ So excited about all the improvements that are coming! It can seem, from our perspective, that it takes so long to achieve completion of all these projects but knowing you are only one person, with Kim’s invaluable support, of course, it will be moving along faster after the plumbing is done! So interested in seeing what you will choose as a kitchen sink when you get to that point!

Wonderful update! I would be interested in your house tour review! As for your power cleaning to get your place “company ready” for the tour; it can be just as important as your other projects and it allows you to really see how wonderful all your hard work shines! Sending prayers and sympathy to your Dad 🙏🏻

Incredible as always Kaleb. I vote to see the house "cleaned up" as it might have been for the tour. But what you're showing here has been amazing to see. I think you all work so hard but as I've said before - it will be so worth it in the long run and you'll have a castle to be proud of - and you should be. Brilliant sir.

Caleb, the house looks great all cleaned up. Now, keep it that way! Seriously, a clean work area is a safe work area. The last thing you or Kim need is to get hurt while working on the house. After every job, clean up! There, now I’ll take off my safety trainer/ dad hat. 😊 So glad to here that the roof will be getting repaired and the house more habitable.
