Kaleb, I was sitting home during the pandemic, and I found youtube. Then I saw your very first video. I mean, like days after it was posted. I've been watching ever since. I even posted a comment toward the beginning asking something like, "Did you see that thing there, and this might need......?" Then I realized, you love the house and you see everything. Love will find a way! Right!?? I mean, the love of your community for what you are doing is nothing more than a reflection of your love for that house. You are so passionate and so HARD working. I wanna come to St Louis and see the place when you are ready for business. Best wishes and the kindest of thoughts to you and Kim and the life you are building.
Yes indeed, the love and work that he poured into this house is amazing and it inspired me to restore things myself. If I lived in the US I would love to see the house! Maybe one day on vacation

I love that you're focusing on the façade of the house. Once that is shined up, that house will have a whole new life. All of that limestone restoration will pay dividends for decades to come. And I can't wait to see the mansard and dormers restored, the old girl needs her crown back.

I just want to take a moment to express my appreciation for your channel, and everything you guys do. I recently started watching shows like "House Hunters" after years of not watching them, and I forgot how often people will say, "This place is a total gut job! Everything has to go!". It's heartbreaking to see beautiful, original features of older homes get torn down for things like open floor plans and huge, walk-in closets. Watching people lovingly restore a home's original features is a breath of fresh air, and reminds me that people still care about these things. Thank you for working so hard to preserve history. 🙂

Preserving American history is important and those who feel that way support you 100%. My commercial building, that I saved, was owned by a member of the Ross family, he was a documented nephew of Betsy Ross, I proudly fly the American flag on my building and along with a 13 stars and stripes version. My worry is about those who are destroying our past and/or re-writing it to alter it for their own agenda.
The removal of the paint was soooo satisfying to watch, I definitively would love a way longer time lapse of that.

Wow, that young gentlemam, who was employed by your father to help with walls, is a real professional! Such a good job he has done in such a a short time. Needle-shower is just excellent! It looks like it came from the museum. When I see your house from outside, together with a streetview, I immediately remeber that sweet old movie "Meet me in St. Louis", in which action takes place in the very beginning of 1900-s. Your house really has that special Edwardian charm to it.
I'm so glad that you get to inspire so many other people to save these old structures and breathe new life into them. I remember in my local area where an abandoned old Victorian house sat for many years, and eventually someone bought it and used the exterior shell to then build an entirely brand new house inside. They went a little bit more modern than I would've liked, but I still enjoyed that they attempted to honor the original structure which was beautiful instead of completely knocking it down and starting from scratch. Thanks again for showing people the possible potential in rescuing these old buildings. ♥

Super exciting at how far the house is coming along. I’m sure that new HVAC will be a nice bump in Quality of Life. Especially with how hot it gets around here. Great job on season 2. Can’t wait for season 3!
Caleb! Suggestion! Continue to collect chandeliers and once you have your little pub done, put all the chandeliers you couldn't use in the rest of your house in there. Fix them with some warm light low watt bulbs and you have this amazing little Victorian chandelier bar!
That was so nice of your dad to hire some help for you with some of the job in the basement. We called a basement kitchen a Summer Kitchen and most homes in NJ had them back in the day. So much is getting done and it looks great! I love seeing a post pop up from you, Caleb, and Kim!
I only discovered your channel in February or so of this year, but I'm already hooked. I LOVE watching people restore old houses (rather than doing modern renovations). I can't wait to see what you do with the house in the future.

It’s great to see the work on the front facade. The sill and wall repair really shows off your craftsmanship. Would love to see your complete vision -- can you share a rendering of your plan for the facade particularly colors and hardware? Congrats on 2 years!

Just found your show Kaleb!! Wonderful! I am a retired Architect whose bulk of career involved old and historic structures! My husband and I live in a Victorian Mansion in old Louisville, the largest collection of brick Victorian houses in the country!! We have a condo that comprises the entire first floor! 90% of the interior is original!! We just restored a gas Victorian Coal basket in our living room!! It is wonderful and makes us proud that the 132 year old fireplace functions has intended as the center of the front parlor!! Love your show and your herculean effort to preserve our history!

Wow! So many things are happening from an infrastructure standpoint. The basement work is so important for the rest of the house and for your comfort. I’m glad you are feeling better! The contractor did a great job. Having a modern kitchen and bathroom will be life changing for you all and laundry too! I think what you’re doing is amazing and it always makes me glad to see content from creators that share the same values for old architecture. I shall miss my weekly fix of all the fixing up. Eagerly await dining room medallion restoration, end result of neighbors' door and fireplace, and the work on the cornice and mansard. Before you know it, the summer will be over and the wedding will be happening. Take care and don't overdo.

For two seasons you have (correctly and appropriately) focused on getting the exterior weather tight - roofing, gutters, windows, electrical supply, and so on. Inside has been mostly mechanicals - plumbing, Water supply, wiring, and such. All of it is critical and needs to be done first. But almost none of it is visual. Much, if not all of it will be covered up in the end. From here on, much of what you will be doing WILL be seen and on a nearly daily basis you will be able to see real progress. You still have a lot of windows to repair/replace, and the mansard roof will look amazing. I really like the look of the repaired exterior stone. It's hard to judge by the videos how many doors still need to be stripped and shellacked, or how much trim needs attention, and I assume that almost, if not all the floors need to be done, but at the rate of one window or door per day, you have enough interior work to keep you busy all winter. It's going to be grand. The next season will be the most fun yet to watch, and probably to produce. Excellent job.

"why he sounds apologetic for having an ice cream maker?" etc. So, after doing my best to keep him informed enough, he just said "I bet this mister Brown guy, would love today's technology and keep his house updated if he was still around" 🤣

Caleb will you eventually switch to copper gutters and drains when u can afford it and the house is complete love the house but the white drains against the brick just dosent fit was wondering your thought and plans, cant believe your on s3 keep up the great work and inspiration for all of us, Mr. Brown is smiling from up above. Also if u aquire the lot next door i think you should just make like a concrete flower bed outlining the front portion of the house since the grass cant grow green there any way and put two historical plaques outside both of the homes, just a thought
the internal gutters in the mansard will be copper. The downspouts will be round and brown. Copper unfortunately would/could get stolen.
