Thank you so much for these videos. Although I'm a young teenager aspiring pilot it's nice to get these basic tutorials to firmly get a grip on the instruments and the aircraft before going full depth with the fenix tutorials
Great series of videos. Thank you sooo much!
Fantastic tutorial series!
Great Tutorials on the A320neo!
Please review and fly the BravoAirspace 787-8. Love your content as always, thank you!
Thanx for the tutorials. What checklist do you use? And can we get it somewhere?
Great Videos. I have one question: What should be the correct behavior of the A/THR if for some reason you discontinue your climb before reaching the Thrust Reduction / Acceleration Altitude ~ 500 ft AGL and you move the throttles to CL detent and select a speed in the FCU ~ 200 knts?
1. Should SRS disengage and the engines slow down to maintain the 200 knots
Or
2. SRS will remain active and the engines will continue at CL thrust (plane accelerating)?
Thanks!
Do procedures and checklists of the A320neo differ from the A320ceo?
Emanuel thanks a lot for the tutorial videos.
In your iniBuilds A320 TO performance review 2 days ago, you yourself noted that the acceleration is, I quote, "definitely a little bit slower than Fenix' A320".
In your view, is it because inBuilds model is a Neo while Fenix is a Ceo ? Or nothing to do ?
It could be because they're different engine versions, because of different philosophies of performance calculation, or because of inaccuracies in either addon.
Have you tried searching for some A320neo cockpit videos and checked the acceleration there? That's probably the easiest thing to do. If they, in several different videos, accelerate much faster, then there's probably something wrong with the iniBuilds. If not, then not, then I'd put it onto different aircraft types/engines.
@@A330Driver Emanuel thanks for the suggestion, I will do that, I think that's a good idea 👍. The timeliness of your videos is awesome. Keep it up man.
Hi Emanuel, one small question: On takeoff, when does the green "rwy" is indicated alongside the srs? On my flights it is sometimes the case and sometimes not and I haven´t really figured out yet when or why. Thanks for a quick answer and sorry, if this is a dumb question.
Hi, if your takeoff runway has a localizer available the airplane will automatically lock onto the localizer and track it. That's when RWY mode shows. If there is no localizer it can log on to RWY will not show.
@@A330Driver Cool, good to know. Thank you very much!
@@wallywalt528But does one have to enter the localiser frequency into the Nav 1 radios first??
Can we leave the apu running to provide air to the packs until after takeoff, thus allowing full performance from the engines and still keeping our passengers cool?
That can be done, however should by default not be necessary. Two minutes without packs are normally not going to cause significant discomfort to the passengers, unless it is really, really hot. With 30° and clear skies for example it's normally not a problem.
@@A330Driver Thank you. An expert opinion is invaluable. Thank you for all that you do. Keep up the great work. Producing content at the pace that you do and fly for a living is amazing.
Hello Emanuel, I'm back again with another question. Today I wanted to fly the VAKU1E departure from Izmir (LTBJ, 34R), which is based on two VORs. I have the following problem: I can use the switches under the NAV and range selector to display the direct direction to both VORs, but the CDI with the selected radial only to VOR1. Is there a way to display the CDI of VOR2? Many thanks in advance :)
Hi,
you can only show VOR1 on the captains CDI and VOR2 on the FO's. There's no way to switch them around.
You need to use the green needle if you need to use the offside VOR, or retune the radios.
My a320 ground steering is very slow when using rudder paddle any idea what I’m doing wrong? Thanks
Did you select the "connect rudder pedal to tiller" option in the EFB? If not you only have 8° of nose wheel steering.
@@A330Driver hell yehh now I’m turning like F1 😅 thanks pilot 👨✈️🫡
When I am on Autopilot and after some time the auto throttle turns off automatically. How do i fix that?
how is your ap climb going at 4000fpm? when i set mine on auto climb it climbs at 500 fpm
On the Nav display, when you have it set to ARC....what is that white arrow that moves around?
I am not 100% sure however, you don't see that arrow unless you turn on the VOR switches under the ARC knob and RANGE knob. I can only assume they are the needles for a CDI (Course Deviation Indicator). My best guess.
@@omnifx I was kind of wondering if it was the direction to the closest runway.
No it is a radio navigation system for aircraft with a receiving unit to determine it's position and stay on course by receiving radio signals transmitted by a network of fixed ground beacons. They are placed everywhere and some are at airports. Mostly used for GA aircraft and VFR. Not used as much now due to GPS and auto piloting. I have flown the Cessna 152 in MSFS using VOR's all manual no auto pilot to get to another airport.
First
Anyone else having zigzag issues where the plane struggles to capture the flight plan path?
My issue is zigging to the left when taking off or landing. Can't keep it going straight down the runway.
Yes, it seems to be based on some of the airports. I always have that issue when flying out of KEWR (Newark, NJ). I've noticed it on other airports as well, but I flew that one this am and had the issue. I usually grab the plane, point it to the next waypoint, then just go to it via the direct option.
@@lordraven2264 I get it out of my home airport KDFW
