    That temperature correction calculator could be a fantastic addition to Navigraph. Considering they’re VERY receptive to community suggestions… 👀

    Hey Emmanuel, thanks for the video. From my experience, what continues to give the edge for toliss when it comes to practicing procedures is the ability to precisely save scenarios which saves me a lot of time when wanting to practice in a row. I don’t think that’s part of the Fenix functions at the moment. Cheers

    Great video, reminds me on good old days we were flying as students in the A330 full flight simulatior at the TU Berlin in the Aeropspace Institute doing exactly the same exercises. Of course not with the same relaxed attitude as it is demonstrated by Emanuel. 😉

    A very cool presentation of the A320 emergency situation.
    There is really a lot to be done during such an avary situation. The only thing I missed was that such a situation would have been rehearsed with contact with the tower e.g. Beyond ATC I am curious if Beyond would have offered an approach course as in real life.
    I look forward to more videos from Airbus.

    44:06 would it really? I mean sure, technically it would have to be if flown by the book, but in this kind of situation irl, with an engine out and the approach lights in sight, it's kinda hard to imagine a flight crew to abandon the approach tbh

    On your second approach I believe you had the runway environment (approach lights) in sight and the runway visible before 100', so legally you could continue with the landing. Why would the instructors expect you to go-around? Of course, I'm not sure what the RVR was although it might've been right at the limit lol.

    18:44 Would you do some troubleshooting in real life even in these icing conditions, when the wing antiice is inop?

    For my understanding, can auto pilot with final app be used uncorrected for temperature in real life following normal operating procedures? Or do you have to fly it 2D with manual set FPA according to temp correction?
    Also, why is this temp correction just not done automatically by the FMC/MCDU?

    Do the trainers let you know what you are going to be working on (eg engine failure etc) during your recurrent or is it all a surprise?

    You reviewed the Headwind A330. Have you tested the Latin VFR A330-900? The LVFR A330 is payware if I'm not mistaken.

    I'm curious, do you know the rationale behind moving TCAS to TA in the engine fire checklist?

    • @aviation320-dabpa
      @aviation320-dabpa 2 місяці тому +3

      So that you will not recieve a RA which with your limitied performance due to the failed engine you cannot meet.

      @@aviation320-dabpa I thought so but wanted to check. Makes total sense. Thank you

      It will also tell the TCAS on any conflicting plane that you are unable to follow an RA, which might change the kind of RA that the other plane will receive.
