Sounds good Josh. Would be great to get another review of it in 2 months to see if any novelty has worn off or if you have noticed any additional things you would like to share.
Sounds so nice, I got a 22 plate jcw and in sport mode it hardly pops or bangs at all. I want to get this done but my car is on pcp, do you think I could get this get done without voiding my warranty or lease? Can this be undone and restored back to default/original state?
@@JoshBatesYT thanks for the quick reply mate, do you remember how much roughly it cost to do and is it usually the same price to restore it back? It’s annoying because when I did a test drive it was a 19 plate and it would have little burbles and pops in the exhaust in sport mode, nothing loud or crazy but a nice touch while driving. My one doesn’t do it at all when in sport mode and I even use to highest grade petrol but still nothing. Do you know what other options I could take other than replacing the exhaust system or I know you can get a computer plugged in to it to add the pops and bangs through the ecu. I think I heard it’s because they fitted some filter due to new regulations with cars not being able to be so loud now, I could be wrong though
@@BESTLUKE88 Not sure if you've gone ahead and done it now or perhaps your still sitting on the fence about it but here is some important information you may or may not know now. JCWs built from 2019 onwards are installed with a GPF/OPF in place of the resonator in the UK and EU and 2020 onwards the pops and bangs have been mapped out as standard. This is to meet stricter emissions laws that came into effect around mid to late 2018. In the UK, it is illegal to remove the GPF/OPF, and doing so will result in an MOT failure. Your only options if you want to remain above book is a GPF/OPF back exhaust and/or a sport cat downpipe.
@@curtiswhyte3297 I actually haven't progressed or done anything since. I did do a lot of research online and spoke to various people who also told me the same thing about the GPF and if you remove that then it would fail the Mot. Do you know much about the sport cat downpipe or GPF back exhaust? Do you get much of a sound upgrade output to make it worthwhile? I would need to speak to my local dealer before doing anything as I have the car on PCP and the last thing I want is to do something that may also void the warranty and leave me in a bad position. I've heard some place that you can upgrade the exhaust through mini directly so your warranty remains unaffected, not sure if that's something you have any knowledge with? Thanks for the information and heads up, appreciate it
Like i said in my last comment had my 2015 MCS Res Delete 20 months now sounds just the same as yours and passed last MOT with no issues,£90 vs £1400-£1600 for the JCW Pro with the ugly valve flap when closed showing in one tail pipe is a no brainer unless you got money to burn, mine does an odd pop bang in Mid mode sometimes, why would you want louder than the gun shot odd bang of a Res delete,i turn mine off any time i see horse rider signs ect,i have an old £60 TMC 4 channel tuning box and a lifetime £22 Pipercross air filter and the front wheels can not handle the power in dry warm weather even,no engine lights no issues so far, owned a 2015 Fiesta MK7 ecoboost for 1 year brakes got noisy rattles developed everywhere interior was boring and Nav screen pathetic the Mini is just nicer and quirky IMO.
Yeah the pro exhaust is expensive but I reckon that might be something I get in a years time or something because like you say the res is insane for £90
@@JoshBatesYT nice bro . I have a f55 s with 287 hp it’s a 5 door , do you think that’s gonna change something because the pipe it’s more extensive ?? Tks
Lol, I was just scrolling the comments and saw this. It’s nearly .8 a second faster than the manual as well. If you are in the car the duel clutch is so violent and makes it far more dramatic than it projects in video lol
Manual gets the rev match on down shifts and is more involving had mine almost 3 years now and added Forge hard pipe and Forge induction kit it now does the odd pop bang in all driving modes. Still have TMC 4 Chanel tuning box no issues at all so far all but the dreaded paint rub defect around the doors of the 3 door F56's.
Yessssss lad, sounds spot on
Great vid yet again man. Wish you would uploaded more💪 can’t decide if I want a mini or just to keep saving
Thank you. The mini is a great car
Sounds good Josh. Would be great to get another review of it in 2 months to see if any novelty has worn off or if you have noticed any additional things you would like to share.
Yeah I’m sure I’ll do a video like that in the future
The man the legend!
enjoying your videos, just got myself brand new cooper s Sport and life is loads brighter because of it.
Congratulations!!
@JoshBatesYT What year is your f56? Is it pre lci?
Should hear my missus after a Vindaloo.
😂😂😂
i did a res delete on my 2016 cooper s a month ago. the novelty has definitely not worn off, i still love it!
When they sound as good as that I reckon the novelty will last a while
Yes bro love it, sounds so good. Is it louder than the BM in person or similar?
the actual volume of the car is quieter than the bm but the pops and farts are like gun shots
Love it on mine as well. Do you have a stock downpipe? I want to go sports cat but am nervous about how loud it will be lol
Yes I have a stock downpipe. I reckon I'll get a sports cat soon
Nice, what year is your mini
Sounds mint
Sounds insaane wow
You mentioned it makes the MPG worse? I. Wanna do a back box OR res delete on my 116i m sport but I want the quieter and more economical option?
I’m not sure about economy but the back box will be the quieter option
@@JoshBatesYT I’ve heard the resonator is a quieter option hmm
Why get a full system when a Res delete is like 100 quid and is legal to do as it passes a MOT
Do you think it’s “so loud” Josh?😂😂. Sounds really great👍👏
I do think it’s so loud 😂😂

Yes it can be restored as that’s what I’ve just done but not sure about your lease

Can't see your latest video, says its unavailable?
Yeah sorry about that its all back up and working again
Great video 👍🏽
Does removing the resonator trigger a check engine light?
Thank you and no it doesn’t
If you have a LCI yes it will.
Pre lci guys don’t have to worry.
I literally just done a res delete on my s3 Friday 😂
Sounds sick on your jcw tho bro
Yeah I’m so pleased. Bet your s3 sounds good to

It didn’t I still absolutely love the sound of it

similar but prefer stock, sound more throathy and less "fake"

Goblins exhaust in East Sussex
