I love how the locals driving on the autobahn don’t let their ego of the car they drive kick in.

I agree with you about the Mini being meant to be somewhat silly and fun. I think this did a great job, plenty quick and funny as hell with that maniac exhaust.
My oldest brother tuned up a Mini Moke back in the early 80s. Was like driving a go-cart on the roads. Great fun.

I drove a chipped Mini Cooper S 2015 for roughly 2 years and I kid you not, this car was more fun to drive than anything else in that power/ price range.
The huge windows give you insane surround views and the because it is so short in the rear it really does feel like a small gokart.
If you are alone, or with a partner, or simply without kids, go for it. It is insanely spaceious to just drive around if you don't have to transport a whole lot
@@janreinhardt5345 Have you ever tried to reach the front window from your driver seat? Because it's almost impossible and I think that is absolutely insane for such a relatively small car. I like Minis, especially because they are basically BMWs and I do very much like BMW. I dont think I would ever buy a Mini as my daily, because I know what cars I can get for the same price. I am also on my own, so no need for a big car really.

You could get mini with jcw pro exhaust (not as crazy as that and no flames) is strait through with remote valve sadly they stopped it in uk unsure about everywhere else
It's great that this one is pre-face lift! Those circular headlights are what people see on those tiny Fiat 500's....Don't want a glorious Mini to be confused with a tiny 500 HAHAHAH
Actually this car should be faster 100-200 than claimed in the video. My 2014 f56s st.1 260 hp goes 100-200 12.9 sec. I know a lot of jcw owners with ~310 hp that go 100-200 about 11 sec.
Mine neither goes 100 - 200 in 12 sec

What tune was installed? Several tuning shops say that the 6-speed automatic gearbox has a limit of 280-ish' HP. How does the gearbox behave with 320hp?
HP is not that problem, torque is the problem.
That was pretty hilarious, and pretty quick, too. Fun car.
That exhaust would get you a defect notice from the Police over here and you'd not be able to get your car registered. No sense of humour.
I'm pretty sure it's not exactly legal even in the Netherlands/Germany

I have relatives living in the Netherlands. SO different from Australia and I love visiting. But, yes, I imagine even over there it might get attention from the police.
Having said that, seeing Max jump (or just about crap himself when under the overpass, LOL) was worth it.
I'd love to drive it around here and see how long I could get away with it.

@@PneumaticFrog Some years ago they even banned turbo blow-off valves. I have something of a classic old turbo vehicle that rather remarkably for its time had a form of internal blow-off, but had thought of making it external for greater efficiency. If I did, I'd not be able to get it registered, let alone drive it. I could, technically, disable it for rego then enable it again, but even then I'd run the risk of a defect notice if the police noticed and wanted to do so. While I agree some blow-off valves can be pretty obnoxious, banning ALL of them is lazy.
In the Netherlands the police don’t give a fuck.

What is the weight of that car ? Because for a supposedly 320hp engine it looks rather slow.

We've just got a countryman Cooper S. In standard form it's brilliant, comes with a 2.0 turbocharged BMW engine with almost 200bhp. Love it.

Great review m8, i own an f56 cooper s so essentially the exact same engine plus it’s a 2017 pre lci! . Im just waiting for its last big service in 600 miles and can’t wait to mod it a bit, stage 1 maps reach 260 whp without bolt ons but with some accompanying hardware 300 is easily achievable. Gr8 review👍🏻👍🏻

No hate, but this isn’t 320hp. Usually F56 with 300hp+ go well over 270kph easily, while this one already struggles at 250...

This. My E92 335i which is supposed to have 306hp accelerates way faster... however it might actually deviate a little bit upwards, as is quite common with the N55 engines.
Thats exactly what I thought. My manual Works hits almost the rev limiter at 256kmh, completly stock.

Decat + tune does around 300hp
It falls kinda flat @200kph for 320hp , but that might also be the design of the mini
That's how mini gp will perform like haha. Also, the owner should consider to ugrade the brake performance cause it is faded even if it's bigger than the cooper s.
