May Kiting at Morro Bay

- Cherie, Glenn and friends Nick and Ruben held forth on a largely deserted beach. Winds cane up with an 18 mph average and gusts to 25 mph. Judging by the grit in our teeth, we must have had fun!

Awesome kites in a magnificent setting. Thanks for sharing. Great fun to watch.
Appreciated, Frank.
I should come flying at Morro Bay more often. Such a lovely beach to fly at.
Tim, if your travels take you this way again, please do take the time to share your kites with an appreciative public. Stay well.
What a wonderful spot that is to fly, Glenn - must be well worth the long drive. Nice to see a lot of familiar items in the display. Gomberg is sadly missed.
I agree Jim, he really revolutionized serious kiting. I think there will not be an entrepreneur who will succeed him. I did my part to keep him in business as did you. Morro has its charms. Wish I was closer though.
The Patriot 24 sled gets you in the mood for Memorial Day weekend next week. I'm headed to the beach on Thursday and Saturday to see if the BIG kites are flying for the holiday,. Cross my fingers they are so I can make some kite videos. So Good!!!
I hope you are favored with blue sky and an abundance of kites. I enjoyed your chronicle of the parade too.
Ein tolles Video. Super.
Wünsche ein schönes Wochenende - Many greetings
Thank you and stay well my friend.
I am guessing flying with a few friends and having most of the beach free made for an even more enjoyable time than the last festival. Even with the breezy winds you all did well. Always enjoy seeing Cherie's spinners and jellyfish. The aerial views were a real visual treat.
Glenn do you know what drone model Nick was flying. I thought he may have had problems flying in that wind but it looked so stable.
Carl email me and I'll connect you to Nick. It was a good day, blowing sand not withstanding. The stability and quality of the MP4. video was simply stunning in my opinion.
@@PanyingPilotThanks Glenn for the contact. Great celebrative video from you all.
We had a great time flying with you and the first time using the drone for kite footage. For those asking, it's a DJI Mini 2. Makes it super easy to take great footage even in the winds we were flying in. We have some new ideas for shots next time after seeing what was possible.
That little drone was outstanding for producing both still and video footage that was sharp, steady and colorful. We must do this again, Nick.
Great job thank you for the new view 😅
You are most welcome, Amy.
Thanks for the 360 view Glenn. Such a beautiful location!
It does have its charms, Michael. Challenges too. Keep them coming, ny friend.
NICE!
Looks ESPECIALLY good on the 65" 4k monitor!
🌊🏖🎏🎊
Now that's what I'm talking about!
Super!
Good to hear from you Alfie. Thanks for the comment.
Loved the drone footage.
Me too, David, what a difference a bit of elevation is! I wonder if I will ever 0ull the trigger on one?
Looks like it was a great Fun Fly with Friends Glenn & Kudos to the drone pilot for adding to the video!
Nick's drone really raised the game, pun intended.
Another great display Glenn. The drone footage was great. Were you flying the fish by itself? I have the 11 foot version. I only flew it from a lifter.
Kenny, the peace fish needs no lifter. I think the 11 footer would thrash around too much. Mine wanders around in 10 mph or less wind. WhennI flew it a WSIKF last time, the winds were light and I grew frustrated because it would claim too much sky in a congested flying field. As winds at Morro built and occasionally gusted higher, the Peace Fish just flew better! I am glad you have yours. I suspect that when they are sold out, that will be the end of it.
What brand of drone was the footage taken with? he liked it a lot. the view is great
Mustafa, read through the other comments, Nick gives an answer. Stay well my friend.
@@PanyingPilot I missed it, thank you
Great video. I wanted to see if you might be interested in a Multi colored 30' Crown. My friend is selling it as he is getting up in age and it is too much for him. Anyway I brought it home from Laughlin. I have it in Hanford. He is asking $400.00, which is half price. How can I contact you to show pictures and such. thanks, Norm
Norm, send image files and your asking price to mitchell93210@gmail.com. I will spread the word.
@@PanyingPilot I'll get it just as soon as I can. I know this Crown's history and this will be an excellent buy for somebody. I can always bring it to Coalinga if you are interested in it. thanks, Norm
