- Am Wochenende war es endlich soweit... mein Neuer Octopus kam zum 1.mal an den Himmel... etwas später folgte noch der Neue Oki von KiteXing… beide sind ca. 3,5 x 18m lang.

Wow a yellow version of this type. Its very rare. And for an 18m. What line are you using?
Hello, I prefer slightly thicker lines to reel in the kite... a 120kg / 260lb is sufficient.

Both are nice kites, but if I had to choose one it would be the black body kite.
It would compliment my Trilobite-16 kite as a side by side companion!

What line KG/ LBS are you using for that 8 meter Octopus?
Hello, for an 8m octopus a 25kg line should be sufficient, but I use stronger lines because when the line is retrieved, it is easier to hold and the risk of injury is not so great... the yellow octopus is 18m long and I leave it with one 120kg line fly, but only because the line is easier to hold...
What are your feelings about the kite now?
Yes ... a very nice kite, from 2 Bft it flies very evenly. I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas.
where is this being flown, and in what winds?
The kite was flown in Germany near Hamburg and the wind was very weak, around the 1-2 BFT
How wide of the head is these Octopus Kite?
The head is about 2m wide and the total length is 18m
