IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please ALWAYS use resin with proper precautions including wearing proper PPEs (glove, mask, respirator etc) AND working in a well ventilated space. I recommend getting a hold of the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) info that every resin company has available to the public (by law). This has all the info about the resin you are using including the precautions you need to take and first aid care. Watch my resin safety video for more info: • RESIN SAFETY | Importa...

Why do I use two different types of resin in my projects?
I use a casting resin to cast and a doming resin for doming.
Casting resin is usually low in viscosity and works very well in molds without much issue with the bubbles. Also the low viscosity will allow the resin to reach detailed area of the mold. Doming resin is thick in viscosity and holds its shape very nicely. It creates a full dome and tends to hold the surface tension much better than low viscosity resin. So lower risk of the resin dripping off the sides. It also gives the piece a smooth, flawless finish.

One of those “why didn’t I think of that??”. Simple yet genius idea!
I ACTUALLY SAID IT SO LOUD AND THEN SAW YOUR COMMENT AND GOT SILENT FOR A MOMENT
👋🏽 hi
Is everyone here?😢
😢
@@01shawntell I’m here:)
its not easy to keep aesthetic while recording. u put effort in ur video and people need to recognize this. hope u got more subscribers. love ya
Definitely my crafting table is so ugly it costs extra for it to look nice lol
This is a great idea! I am always so frustrated when I spend a ton of time on a piece of shrink plastic only for it to warp or not flatten correctly in the oven... This seems like a way safer method :) Thanks for sharing!
Ah, same! Even if doing an original piece, making a sticker of it is so much simpler than spending a ton of time on it only to be ruined in the oven! I wish I'd thought of this at the last convention I made charms for...
What is the name of plastic
I have been hand painting shrinky dink charms for my shop for months and I NEVER thought to use stickers. Like making my own sticker and doing this! Genius! Ah I have got to try this! 💕💕💕💕 Thank you!
Hand painting can take forever! And it’s devastating when it doesn’t shrink right. This method is definitely more forgiving! Thanks for your comment!
@@AmyMade Acrually Poscas don't take too long but I agree! I also could never do double sided before and this would totally let you make those like real acrylics!
@@auroraghost6462 can you pls send the link of your store??
@@AmyMade can i use a microwave for the pin
@@SleepingInGrass i would not
one more thing.... when applying resin to shrink plastic, it's best to lightly sand your shrink plastic before you apply the sticker and resin so that the resin has something to grip.
But isn't it the role of the sealer spray ? Or does it have to be done as well even when using a sealer spray ?
@@rosigribouilli5399 a spray sealer is going to just sit on the shrink plastic and create a layer that will eventually peel off. When you stand the plastic you create tiny little grooves for the resin to sink into and grip creating a better seal. You may as well be putting a layer of liquid latex down between the sticker and the resin if you use spray sealer...
how do you sand it?
How to sand it, will it ruin the design
@@jenpagdanganan7469 light sand paper to sand it before you draw your design or add color
OMG I have so many stickers I wished were keychain designs and NEVER thought of this. So simple yet creative. Will def be doing this tysm!!

Alternatively you can draw around the images in your art program after the images are scanned then just print out the outline that you need to trace so that you don't use up so much printer ink.
OML THIS HELPED ME SO MUCH! I was about to use a manufacturer to create the keychains for me but your video came right in time, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

This was so helpful, thank you
Oh my god I love this!!!
Hi, I'm new to your channel
I absolutely love this idea of using sticker's 😍
Yayy!!You got a new subscriber 💖
Really cute. Had just watched a version that used the Cricut maker to cut the shrink paper. Then used vinyl images as well from the maker. However your technique seems easier.
I personally rather cut by hand since the cricut can cause the plastic to tear or crack. But yea, the possibilities are endless if you use the cricut to cut vinyl😉
gaahh such a cute idea!! if only i had a photo copyer....
Soooo much effort and patience
These are so cute your Amazing. Thanks 🥰
Cute craft. Very good if you also have artistic skills.
