As a veteran, I've always liked "Darmok". Brothers-in-arms from different cultures and worlds fighting alongside each other. "The Inner Light" is memorable as well. It reminds us of dreams we all have that seem so real until we wake up.
Great list. i would add "The Offspring" where Data creates his child Lal. Very thought provoking. There is also an episode where Geordi is stranded on an inhospitable planet with a Romulan. They both need each other to survive. And "The Best OF Both Worlds" is also worthy. The ones you picked are gems.
An excellent presentation! I concur with most of your list. Particularly glad to see The Inner Light as your #1 show. For me, that show was TNG's absolute best show. Its amazing that so much intense story was compacted into 45 minutes. So much better than many of today's SciFi full length movies. Well done; and thanks for posting!
A beautiful video. Bravo!!!! Picking "Inner Light" as the last episode is brilliant. I have to say that after watching this episode, I was truly sad for a while. It was so beautiful and relaxing, that the last scene of Pickard playing the flute was like a hit in the gut. Who would want to lose a life like that?
He spends the start of the episode trying to escape that planet but by the end he's sad to have left. I watched it for the first time last night and specifically came to see if it made the top choice in different videos. This is the first video I checked and viola... top pick.
I hated the inner light, it seemed boring and pointless, until an episode later in the series in which Picard is asked if he had children and he replies that yes, he had two, but it's complicated. That blew me away and made me love that episode.
For me Pable, this episode was a home run. I loved it so much that its ending made me sad for a looong time....Pickard at his best. Man, I want to watch it again...but why torture yourself...hehehe.
Beautifully presented. You depict your own journey, from prejudging dismissal, to acceptance and even praising in a 17 minute discussion, that, like Star Trek, isn't about the show, but about yourself. Loved it.
Interesting selection! I enjoyed how you critiqued each episode and their context - you actually made me realise how many themes still resonate today. One of my favourite things about Trek is how it tackles or raises issues and your selection def is a potted version of many of these :)
Darmok. Pure TNG Magic. Picard was sucessfully communicating by telling the millennia old story of Gilgamesch and Enkidu to an alien captain on a distant planet.
Beautiful video. It really hits home, particularly your concluding remarks about why people watch Star Trek and the relevancy and staying power of its message across generations. Bravo.
Great list! I was so glad you put 'Lower Decks' and 'The Inner Light' on the list. My 2 favorite episodes. Probably the best top 10 list on the entire UA-cam site.
Hi Arthur! Firstly, nice piece of work here. So many great episodes, there's bound to be discourse and disagreement on any top ten list but this one belongs to you! Secondly, I'm happy that you became a fan. It's a great community of people!
What has always made Star Trek valuable in the social discussion, and relevant in Pop Culture, is it's tradition of exploring uncomfortable or at least moral grey areas. Where no men have gone before in spirit, as much as physical space. These episodes do a great job of showing that. Nice picks.
Excellent editing and presentation. But your top 10 list reminding me how much I liked most of those was the real reason you got a new subscriber. You deserve many more though...
This is the best ST TNG list video I have seen. It provides a well thought out group of episodes and explains them thoughtfully and with full respect to the vision of the show. Watching these ten episodes with an open mind would make one a better human.
Fantastic video. I would have put "Family" up there in my top 10, because of the way it deals with the psychological fallout from Picard's assimilation and recovery, and the last scene always gets me, particularly now that I have young children... "...but let him dream..." as the Enterprise departs Earth overhead. but other than that mostly agree with you.
that was a home run for me too, that episode was the whole reason i burst into tears when i watched Star Trek Generations. finding out that Picards brother and nephew died in a fire.
I was about to mention "Family." For me, it was an episode that dealt with how we as humans want to take shelter in what once was when we face the unimaginable. But we cannot truly go back to that, nor should we.
I have always said that science fiction and fantasy can teach us about real life in more ways than boring and depressing soap operas etc.. The last few minutes of your video is actually a perfect way of pointing out that star trek gives us a sense of reality and doing the right thing and living a better life... :-)
You were losing me when some of my favorites weren't on the the list, Best Of Both Worlds(1&2) and Yesterday's Enterprise, but you truly saved the day with The Inner Light as #1. The inner light is truly the greatest display and expression of real Sci-fi and the finest episode of ST-TNG. Thank you
I love your analysis of both the episodes and the series as a whole. While I disagree with many of your choices (that was inevitable), you make your arguments compelling and still make me want to watch your picks all over again.
I fully agree with the 10 here but "Yesterday's Enterprise" and "Best of Both Worlds 1 and 2" deserve a spot as well. And Ronald D Moore's "Sins of the Father" completely has the feel of a better Battlestar Galactica episode.
The Inner Light is the absolute best episode of tng! I have watched it several times and I get teary eyed every time. When Riker brings him the piccolo at the end and he starts to play... 😭Brilliant writing!!!
Just like you, i never watched Star Trek as I deemed it too nerdy: Lockdown boredom made me bing watch it and just like you a new world opened up for me. Your closing words, made me tear up so much. Beautiful video
Darmok is my favourite as I feel that it really portrays the problems of meeting aliens. We are so used to aliens speaking in English and understanding the way we rationalise and interact with our environment that we do not consider that beings from another world would think in completely different terms with different (alien?) frames of reference.
Excellent list. My all time favourites are included, "Measure of a Man" and "Drumhead", and I agree with all the others too. I probably would also include "Family" as the follow-up to "Chain of Command", and I always liked "Data's Day".
bravo man, im sharing this on facebook, i was a religious star trek fan, and the next gen is timeless to me. these are all great episodes. i also loved the inner light, episode. they also followed that story up beautifully when he met Lt Cmdr darren several episodes later, and they played music in the center of the ship in the jeffries tube brought tears to my eyes. the emotion picard shows playing the flute is epic level and leading to romance that he was never willing to expose himself to before. it made me cry.
Excellent Presentation. I stand with the Ten that you chose, and agree with most. "Brothers" (S4E3) is an amazing choice I would have included right along side "I-Borg" or "Measure of a Man"
Well, that shut me up. Great video. Great memories. edit: Regarding The Inner Light, love that episode. It was so disgusting in the Generations movie that Picard didn't look for that flute when he went to pick up something important to him. Disgusting as in the movie writers completely disrespecting the series and the character.
Impressive list. Your picks are quite interesting and all fine stories. The Inner Light is one of the best hours of Television ever. Keep up the good work!
A mostly unusual top ten from my point of view, but that's the great thing about Star Trek: TNG. It's my favourite series and one that I believe helped form my egalitarian view of life. 'Best of Both Worlds' and 'All Good Things...' would be right up there in my list, but 'Inner Light' is one of the greatest episodes from any series in TV history. Best of Both Worlds gripped the audience at the time as the threat from the Borg was finally made real and enhanced by it being a two part cliffhanger from series 3 to 4(?). All Good Things was the perfect way to end the show as it bookended the whole journey with a return to Farpoint, the return of former crewmembers to the show and the return of Q. When a ship decloaks off-screen for a moment we think that it's the end for the Enterprise, but, no, it's the Enterprise D from 25 years in the future with the ability to cloak, three warp naselles and the capability to travel at warp 13. After seven years of watching the show, this was a very exciting moment. Star Trek: The Next Generation, despite having some really awful episodes (mostly in series 1 &2) when looked at as a whole, is a near perfect experience as a fan. I miss having friends who were as passionate about the series as I was and now find myself only talking about it in comments like this one and it's only in the past week that I've discovered the TNG comic-con panels. The chemistry and humour of the actors makes me look back on the show with even greater fondness. I should have done it a long time ago.
Well done. Amazing that someone so new to the series really got it.I probably would have included "Who Watches the Watchers", but perhaps you'll do a second video on the "next ten best".
I was actually planning on doing a second top 10 of sorts, but not necessarily the "next best ten," more of a "episodes worth seeing," which opens up more possibilities of what could be on there. THere's some whacky stuff in the show that doesn't get as much attention.
I would add that after watching these episodes, one should watch the pilot, encounter at farpoint. This is my personal favorite, with a brilliant concept of Q being the judge of human arrogance and potential, humans knowing their limitations, potential but having advanced at a societal evolutionary stage that almost makes it a different species than ours. An episode that somehow sets the stage for the greatness of the whole tng show
Usually these types of lists are cheesy and bland, I've seen every episode but not recently and you did a really good job nailing it. my only suggestion is in your description could you actually list the names or Season/Ep# .. just makes it easier to go and find them now to watch :D
Great List! Here's my own personal favorites (No particular order!): Measure of a Man All Good Things The Offspring The Inner Light Tapestry I, Borg Deja Q Hollow Pursuits Yesterday's Enterprise The Best of Both Worlds
I don't bother ranking episodes, I enjoy the series as a whole. Still, its great to see other people's lists and your descriptions of these episodes were great summaries. I got into Star Trek fairly recently as well. I got Netflix to thank for that.
It's nice to see TNG still makes new fans. About 'Lower Decks' : it is also a favorite of mine, but I've always felt a bit uneasy with how the young ensign gets recruted for the undercover mission. It borders psychological manipulation imo, especially from Picard, assisted by Worf. This being said, your analysis of it, just as of the other 9 episodes, is novel to me, and I enjoyed it thouroughly.
You know, for only having a few videos on his channel, this guy did a good job with editing as well as his sound. I expected this to big channel that does top tens and reviews, but it's not so. And I appreciate that there are a few different episodes on here. Maybe not all the ones I would have chosen as they pertain to today's world, but a good choice regardless.
Hey thanks for the compliment. I had another channel that I started in 2007 that did a lot of video game videos so I've had a little over 10 years to raise my editing skills from "awful" to "not awful." Unlike many others I keep my channel as more of a hobby than a career path. That's why you only get a random video every few years. I'm glad I piqued your interest. Thanks again for commenting.
I totally agree with "The Inner Light". It really was a gut-wrenching experiance watching it through. Imagine living the entire life of another person and then going back to your own where you left it. What would that do to you as a person? It would certainly change me.
Hey thanks! Honestly ~5 years later I'd probably pick different ones too. My relationship with the show has really changed a lot since I first started watching it.
Good gh0ds... 30 years. I remember watching these like it happened last week. My friends and I would have weekly watch parties where we grabbed some beer and steaks and watched before hitting the barbecue where we discussed the episode (unless it was bad, and there were some truly horrid ones). I watched the series closer with my father, likewise over dinner.
10. The Measure of a Man 9. Who Watches over the Watchers 8. Yesterday’s Enterprise 7. Best of Both Worlds 6. Chain of Command 5. I Borg 4. Darmok 3. The Inner Light 2. Tapestry 1. All Good Things
Where I may choose other episodes, your analysis brought back the thoughts and emotions I experienced when viewing them on their original air dates. I remember being very optimistic when TNG was announced and I also remember being disappointed with the pilot episode which was over-acted and a little too precious. The ironic thing is my least favorite character, Tasha Yar, was key in the two episodes that got me to tune in each week. Sex with Data and when she died both broke new ground back then. I know, it's mild fare by today's standards.
Some great choices. I disagree with "The Drumhead", though. That one was a great idea with mediocre execution. It's hard to narrow it down to just 10, but here are some others that I might have included instead of one or two that you did: "Best of Both Worlds, part 1", "Family", "Sarek", "The Wounded", "Half a Life", and "Unification" (both parts 1 and 2).
Whenever I explain to someone why I enjoy Star Trek so much I always show them the last minute (16:00-) of the video, because it's not only correct but also a lot more eloquent than I could be with my explanation.
09/26/2018 - I think the Judicial Senate Committee needs to watch the episode The Drumhead. Amazing how so many Star Trek episodes are still relevant today.
I loved episodes with th q , also the issues Data went thru and I cant forget wesley crusher. Picard was my favorite and the fact that every officer on the bridge was unique in some way made this on of my favourite shows of all time. I would tell my kids some of these stories and my wife always made fun at me bc I never fit the so called stereotypical person that would watch this...lol
Here is my take on the Star Trek Next Generation series. It is more of an overview than a listing of the 10 best, but I ask that you consider this point of view, it may help you to see the worst of the worst in a different way, and they might have some comedic value. In general I don't think of Star Trek Next generation by that title … I call it "Screw-ups In Space" Many of the shows start out with a mission outline and a Star Date and time, it is at this point I ask myself "how are they going to screw this up" … and rest assured … they will. It might be something as simple as a Prisoner transfer, or beaming a crew member back without any routine precautions from a hazardous location, or letting personnel aboard from a hostile species without even a simple search … this crew can and will screw up just about anything and everything. I will admit I do like some of the shows that involve the Borg, but most of the others I find funny. Try it yourself watch most any of the shows and after the introduction say … "How are they going to screw this up" … and I bet ya … they will.
If you have not watched it look up Babylon 5 it is the start of tv you want to binge watch. There are plot threads that are from the first episode to the made for tv movies after the shows end and they have a lot of messages of so many types
darmok , wold, be my #2 , and im, borg #3 , but, but arguments , were consitent , and i respect that , good top 10. (by the way , sorry for my poor english , im not native )
My favorite has always been Tin man. It touches all those fans, who don't "fit" into contemporary society. It gives the hope that if you can find the right environment, the right friends, the right companions, (or the right ONE companion)...................that YOU, too, can fit into society and find contentment and happiness and even.........................love.
I've seen DS9, Voyager, and half of Enterprise. Funny you ask this, because I think I had writer's block for a Top 20 of DS9 for 5+ years before giving up on it. I probably like DS9 a smidge better than Next Generation. I'd say my top 5 isn't anything crazy: Rocks and Shoals, In the Pale Moonlight, Far Beyond the Stars, Way of the Warrior, and Duet. I'd shout out Waltz, Take Me Out to the Holosuite, His Way, Civil Defense, and Cardassians too because they're great episodes and don't get the love they deserve.
All very good choices but seriously, how did you miss best of both worlds? Not only was it among the best episodes of TNG, it had the best cliffhanger of any tv show ever! “Mr. Worf, fire” are among the most iconic words ever spoken on tv.
I can't say I'd pick all these same episodes. However that's what so great about Star Trek there is something for everyone. And you did pick a lot of wonderful episodes. I gotta ask have you checked out Deep Space Nine? That's my personal favorite Star Trek show especially season 4 onwards.
I'm currently trying to watch Deep Space Nine, I'm in the middle of season 3 and I'm still waiting for a good episode. Sorry to say, I don't get the appeal.
Arthur Augustyn I mean I guess it's not for everyone... But if I was you I'd hang in there for season 4 when Warf joins the show and the Dominion become a bigger and bigger threat. Season 4-7 in my opinion are some of the best seasons of tv I've ever seen. I would say DS9 is my favorite but it's virtually tied with TNG. I grew up on TNG so I have thame Nostalgia for it. I didn't see much of DS9 until I was older. Voyager is good but it makes me sad because it had so much potential to be great and it's only just good. Enterprise didn't start to get watchable until season 3. And by season 4 Enterprise was fantastic but it was too little too late. And TOS is pure classic. I don't really know how I'd rank them after DS9 and TNG I like them all for very different reasons.
Arthur Augustyn some great DS9 episodes just off the top of my head I would recommend: The Visitor, Waltz, Far Beyond The Stars, In the Pale Moonlight and It's Only a Paper Moon. There are in my opinion way more fantastic episodes but those are a few highlights I can think of off the top of my head.
This is incredible. At first I balked at the 17 minute run time, but now I want more. I'd watch your recap of every episode in the series.
Thanks so much! I appreciate the kind words they really mean a lot.
Me: if Best of Both World's isn't No. 1 I'll be disappointed
*No 1 is The Inner Light*
Me: I can't argue with that, well done
Frame of mind pisses on everything
I don't recall that. Which one is it? The one where he dates the scientist a plays music with her including the flute melody from Inner Light?
For me Pable, this episode was a home run. I loved it so much that its ending made me sad for a looong time....Pickard at his best. Man, I want to watch it again...but why torture yourself...hehehe.
I would put "Yesterday's Enterprise" in the top ten. Always liked the time travel/temporal anomaly related plots...
Top 20 at most
Beautifully presented. You depict your own journey, from prejudging dismissal, to acceptance and even praising in a 17 minute discussion, that, like Star Trek, isn't about the show, but about yourself. Loved it.
Thanks so much!
Interesting selection! I enjoyed how you critiqued each episode and their context - you actually made me realise how many themes still resonate today. One of my favourite things about Trek is how it tackles or raises issues and your selection def is a potted version of many of these :)
Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad my video could reinvigorate your appreciation for the series.
Darmok. Pure TNG Magic. Picard was sucessfully communicating by telling the millennia old story of Gilgamesch and Enkidu to an alien captain on a distant planet.
I am really glad that you included lower decks among your choices. I find that many people under rate that episode.
Beautiful video. It really hits home, particularly your concluding remarks about why people watch Star Trek and the relevancy and staying power of its message across generations. Bravo.
Thanks so much! I appreciate the comment and kind words.
Picking a favorite _Star Trek_ episode(s) is a lot like picking a favorite flavor of ice cream or favorite combination of pizza toppings.
I disagree with most of your choices, but you take a much deeper look than I do. Very nice presentation.
Thanks man!
Of course you would disagree.
What has always made Star Trek valuable in the social discussion, and relevant in Pop Culture, is it's tradition of exploring uncomfortable or at least moral grey areas. Where no men have gone before in spirit, as much as physical space. These episodes do a great job of showing that. Nice picks.
Great video, excellent commenting, superbly presented and edited, and all wonderful episodes of the best TV series ever!...
Excellent editing and presentation. But your top 10 list reminding me how much I liked most of those was the real reason you got a new subscriber. You deserve many more though...
Thank you for this very nice compliment and subscribing. I don't make content frequently but when I do I hope you'll enjoy it as much as this.
Thank you for this very nice compliment and subscribing. I don't make content frequently but when I do I hope you'll enjoy it as much as this.
This is the best ST TNG list video I have seen. It provides a well thought out group of episodes and explains them thoughtfully and with full respect to the vision of the show. Watching these ten episodes with an open mind would make one a better human.
Thanks Brian! I worked pretty hard on it. There's a DS9 list coming in a few months (hopefully).
Thank you
Well done. This deserves more views
I love your analysis of both the episodes and the series as a whole. While I disagree with many of your choices (that was inevitable), you make your arguments compelling and still make me want to watch your picks all over again.
I love this comment, thank you so much.
I fully agree with the 10 here but "Yesterday's Enterprise" and "Best of Both Worlds 1 and 2" deserve a spot as well. And Ronald D Moore's "Sins of the Father" completely has the feel of a better Battlestar Galactica episode.
Excellent video. I would have included an 11th in the final episode of the entire series - it was both riveting and entertaining!
This is outstanding!!! Thank you sir. Star Trek TNG remains one of my all time favourite shows.
The Inner Light is the absolute best episode of tng! I have watched it several times and I get teary eyed every time. When Riker brings him the piccolo at the end and he starts to play... 😭Brilliant writing!!!
great video. I would have put "The Wounded" in there for its portrail of PTSD
@Amos Stubbs My mistake, you're right of course.
“THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS!”
“Welcome to the afterlife Jean-Luc...you’re dead” 😂
For me Masks in S7 is highly underrated.
Also measure of a man might be ahead of its time but is still 40 years after Asimov wrote I, Robot.
first great episode is 'the neutral zone'
bravo man, im sharing this on facebook, i was a religious star trek fan, and the next gen is timeless to me. these are all great episodes. i also loved the inner light, episode. they also followed that story up beautifully when he met Lt Cmdr darren several episodes later, and they played music in the center of the ship in the jeffries tube brought tears to my eyes. the emotion picard shows playing the flute is epic level and leading to romance that he was never willing to expose himself to before. it made me cry.

Excellent Presentation. I stand with the Ten that you chose, and agree with most. "Brothers" (S4E3) is an amazing choice I would have included right along side "I-Borg" or "Measure of a Man"
Thank you sir!
Paralels, Who Watches the Watchers and First Contact are a few of my favorites.

Thank you so much!
like if you also nearly cried at the end
A thoughtful analysis. If you think this is good, get your hands on Babylon 5 and be prepared for a full 5 year arc. A true Greek tragedy.

Chain of Command is a really good 1, "how many lights Picard?" I see 4 lights, "no 5!" utterly compelling
I would add that after watching these episodes, one should watch the pilot, encounter at farpoint. Wow, none of the shows on this list featured Diannas mom.......I'm shocked!
That was actually really well done. I need to go back and watch some of these episodes.
Thanks for the comment and for watching the video! Hope you stick around and watch some of my other reviews.
The Inner Light is one of the greatest Star Trek episode's ever. It's legitimately one of the best episode's of any television series ever.
For those of us who immersed ourselves in this sea of eternal Sci Fi genius...........Best ever of it's Genre....Best ever !!
Great list and excellent presentation. The end was very touching.
I had another channel that I started in 2007 that did a lot of video game videos so I've had a little over 10 years to raise my editing skills from "awful" to "not awful."
Unlike many others I keep my channel as more of a hobby than a career path. That's why you only get a random video every few years. I'm glad I piqued your interest. Thanks again for commenting.
I will never forgive TNG for not including my favorite aliens the Gorn at least once in 7 seasons. Damn!
Cheers, young man.
Very well done.
Thank you elder!
I totally agree with "The Inner Light". It really was a gut-wrenching experiance watching it through. Imagine living the entire life of another person and then going back to your own where you left it. What would that do to you as a person? It would certainly change me.
Most of these selections wouldn't be on my top ten, but I really enjoyed this video.
Hey thanks! Honestly ~5 years later I'd probably pick different ones too. My relationship with the show has really changed a lot since I first started watching it.
Yes! I, borg belongs in the top 5. Two other videos didn't even give it an honourable mention.
Awesome. Perfect Mate also. This list is great. Much enjoyed .
10. The Measure of a Man
9. Who Watches over the Watchers
8. Yesterday’s Enterprise
7. Best of Both Worlds
6. Chain of Command
5. I Borg
4. Darmok
3. The Inner Light
2. Tapestry
1. All Good Things
I would have included Offspring on my list.
I am so happy to see Inner light as #1 !!!!! There is also one plot that shoul be mention - Tasha Yar.
A TNG top 10 with no Q Who?, Yesterday's Enterprise or Best of Both Worlds?????
Whenever I explain to someone why I enjoy Star Trek so much I always show them the last minute (16:00-) of the video, because it's not only correct but also a lot more eloquent than I could be with my explanation.
Wow! That's such a great compliment. I'm glad I can put into words how you feel about the show. Thanks for watching and the kind words.
No, thank _you_ good sir.
WHAT about the episode "the PEGASUS" ? That was an excellent episode!! Had me glued to the TV!
While this is not my choice for the top 10. I can understand and appreciate the choices.
Great video with some well argued choices. Could you post a link to the video you mention at the very start 'How to watch star trek in...'?
It's not a video but a blog. I don't think UA-cam lets you post links, but if you google "Max Temkin Next Generation" it should show up.
@@ArthurAugustyn Found it, thanks!
09/26/2018 - I think the Judicial Senate Committee needs to watch the episode The Drumhead. Amazing how so many Star Trek episodes are still relevant today.
Except Kavanaugh is not an innocent and ethical man being unfairly targeted asshole
I would have put more Episodes from Season 3 in, e.g. Sarek. But otherwise a pretty flawless compilation from my point of view.
Great video. Well done.
You are the best.
Great Work great choices.
And from 1 - 10 you get 100.
i enjoy watching big bang theory and so glad startrek is mentioned there so many times
Excellent video. Love TNG.
Thank you for commenting!
Sme great choices. I'll aso put forward "The Survivors" as one that really packs a gut punch.
The Measure of a Man extends FAR BEYOND Data. FAR BEYOND.
The Drumhead is more relevant today then it was when first aired.
Well done, sir.
Star Trek teaches us how new values, and hightend morale can change our future.. make us beatter
My favorite has always been Tin man. It touches all those fans, who don't "fit" into contemporary society. It gives the hope that if you
can find the right environment, the right friends, the right companions, (or the right ONE companion)...................that YOU, too, can fit into
society and find contentment and happiness and even.........................love.
nice vid, i’m gonna sub
Hey thanks! Maybe I'll make another one
I think you should watch babylon 5 next...you will be very surprised at how deep those storylines are as well as the rich characters
Awesome video. Do DS9! :D
I'm halfway through my third rewatch so very likely will happen by the end of the year.
Now this is a good review
9:20 - no thats it not about no regreting the past.
Its about not playing safe entire life.
Have you ever watched Star Trek TOS, Deep Space Nine, Voyager or Enterprise? And if so, would you ever consider doing a top 10 of those series?
Locutus of Borg!!!
“You will service...us”
I can't say I'd pick all these same episodes.
Thanks for the recs, I'll try to churn away at it and hopefully get to some of the good ones.
nice, and nicely done!
Wow you’re the only Star Trek reviewer to not choose “The Best of Both Worlds” in the Top 10. “Inner Light” was such a great, great episode, though.
