Video RECORD everything! My mom got old and body broke down and took it out on me and my dad. Demanding. Barking orders. Trying to do things that can she no longer do like cleaning up and getting hurt. It got to a point I Video Record every interaction with her. Just a year or two before she's in an Assissted Living facility.
There were 12 ring cameras and i begged the police twice to look at them and asked my lawyer 20 times to subpoena the footage. They refused. What shoukd I do? The footsge is expired by now

This has a name: “Karpman Drama Triangle.” One of the best ways to avoid it is simply to leave. You can say you will be back, or not. But just leave, if you can afford it. She filed for an OP. For many weeks before, our texts were friendly. I sent her lawyer the texts to illustrate friendliness. In court, her lawyer surprised the court with text showing me calling her a b i tch and an as sh ole the night before she filed. She had concocted the text and printed it out. Her lawyer did not ask to see her phone. The judge believed I sent the text. I was ejected from my home for 1 year.
Sorry to hear it. On paper, the person requesting the restraining order has the burden of proof (albeit only by a "preponderance of the evidence.") The practical reality is that men facing a restraining order should prepare as though they have the burden to demonstrate that an act did not occur. ANY evidence -- even credible testimony alone -- is enough for a restraining order to be entered. I feel your pain.
Dante put betrayal at the second to bottom level of hell for a reason. And yet... I was not a man. She deserved far better than me. When I'm gone, I don't know where I'll go. Somedays, I hope for reincarnation to a point where I was happy. I liked my life many times. I dunno. This life seems kind of messed up for no reason. Maybe a Universal Basic Income would help. Yes, I think that would help lots of people.

If the other person is a narcissist, you are guaranteed they will eventually make false accusations. Hence, ditch the narc immediately!
