Bought that exact same Apache case yesterday, even the same color! I've started doing the cutting, have to pick up a can of PlastiDip today. Good video, answered some questions I had - thanks!
I've got the large HF Apache case that I intend to use as an EDC storage case. Your video should help out. Wish I had seen it before I did my Husky case. Thanks
I tried to do this to my box and RUINED it. Coats were so heavy the foam actually shrunk a few inches all around. Good video, great info. Will definitely be more patient next time.

Thank you for this video. I'm getting ready to do this to my Apache case and this was helpful.
You bet! Just about to do another one myself.
I went with the 4800 and just did 3 coats, will probably do one or two more just to be safe
How did this hold up after 2 years. Interesting to know if the glue held and how the plasti dip did?
Still holding up great! No issues at all.
😅turned rated R when you shook that can!!😊 sorry I was surprised by the velocity at which you spontaneously started shaking the can😮 great idea!!
Hahaha I think I edited that part to 2x speed 🤣
@@EdgeStoneKnives like fast forwarding the love scenes when watching blue lagoon! My mom was like nope and she just made it look worse on the VCR lol
Does the plasti dip start to rub off on the items when you start to remove them and put them back alot?
Not in my experience. Maybe if you're doing it every single day it would eventually start to a little.
Great video! Thanks for showing this process.

Bummer! Hope next time turns out better. Thanks for watching.
I did the same. Sucks.
Thanks for posting this. My logic was thicker coats will soak into the foam better, leading a more solidified end product. Seems I was wrong!
@rocketech lots of light coats is always the way to go with this stuff, even on say car parts or wheels
Nice work! How did you manage to get the curves with the pick n pluck?
Thanks! Cutting with a knife
What is the benefit of doing this ?
It makes the foam infinitely more durable and resilient
Great work there!!
Could you do this first before you cut it? Does it smell after it dries?
I wouldn't do it before you cut or none of the inside areas will be sprayed. It does not smell once it dries and airs out.
@@EdgeStoneKnives I see your point on spraying after thank you
Any reason you can't use regular latex paint with a small roller?
Never tried it
Good info thanks!
Hi. What about the smell of the paint when you close the case?
Does it hold moisture
I've never tested that but I'd think the foam would be fairly water resistant now
You will save a lot of the Plasti-Dip if you sprayed both parts stacked together instead of apart.
It would be too hard to get it down into the narrower cutout areas.
@@EdgeStoneKnives Flip it over and spray from the opposite side once the first side dries.
