Dude, this is awesome - I wish I would have seen this a year ago...could have saved myself some money, or at least directed to a superior product! Thanks for this.
Your torture test is AWESOME! I recognize the pouch to the left because I used to own that same Maxpedition pocket organizer. Used to be a big fan but no longer believe Maxpedition's quality justify the high price they charge.
What a test bro... great job , definitely (cordura material) is the best. ...man bro what a workout ...my arm got tired just looking at you doing that .. good video brother !!!
not much bro! Especially if you look at some of the big companies that are already establish as "tactical companies". Those guys just sell whatever they want at whatever price they want!
Good to see. I'm gunna follow your lead and test 12 ounce canvas. Not sure it will take the 200+ wire brush, it might handle the slashing better, but I'm pretty certain it'll resist the fire. Game on mate!
That was nifty. Pretty good test for sure, I'll be buying Cordura. Typical Jarhead didn't just use the hose to put the fire out and save the extinguisher?
I know this is two years ago, but how do you accurately compare color loss of two materials that are different original colors? The nylon became darker (grayish) but the cordura was originally darker, probably masking some of the color loss
I think the Cordura will hold up better against flames than the nylon, because nylon has a lower melting point chemistry-wise. As for what would happen to the contents, that would depend on what you put in it.

Where's the Marsh-Mellow's? Just kidding! Good vid.
LOL! I should had cook some!
So would you say the Vanquest is fire resistant? What would happen to its contents during a fire?
I think the Cordura will hold up better against flames than the nylon, because nylon has a lower melting point chemistry-wise. As for what would happen to the contents, that would depend on what you put in it.
Wow, you should do material testing here in 2023. Nobody tests materials today.
Maxpedition??? These two brand are best..
Good test... But please don't experiment with fire on your deck again....
thanks for your advise!
