    So I'm 6'2" and about 250 and have a hard time finding a smaller pack that fits well. So based in no small part on your review, I decided to hand over the money to try this new Ibex. Just received the pack ,and after adjusting and loading it up, I can attest that you were right on point with this. It is by far the best fitting pack of this size that I have tried. Workmanship and materials are great and design offers lots of load options. I also like the relatively narrow and tall profile...probably a big reason why it fits well. Not cheap and it was hard to part with the funds, but I can now see the value first-hand. Thanks for the great review and keep up the good work!

    Finally somebody figured out that if you keep your load close into your back it is so much more comfortable. I figured that out in Air Assault School years ago and thought it just wasn't comfortable for anyone else because all the new bags that kept coming out just kept getting deeper and lower and so uncomfortable. This bag right off the bat looks spot on and I am only 1:11 in to the video.

      Vanquest Gear. If you had put a dedicated Admin pouch on the front of this and the Ibex-35, or a molle strip, it would have made them Awesome packs! I can't see a way to secure one with that shock cord set up.

      To be honest I like the Husky pouch that I bought. But I passed on this pack ONLY because there was NO Molle on the front of the pack. Daisy and cord is not My gig. It is still a nice pack.

    Great video. The bag looks amazing. Not overly tactical looking and the quality of the materials used just jump out the screen. The gray color way is just beautiful. I would buy this if I was looking for a bag. I just got the Vertx Gamut and I can't justify buying the Ibex-26 right now.

    Great review for a great pack. Two critiques on the pack: I think it would benefit from a "MOLLE" panel on the front (under the shock cord), and the lower compression straps should be placed OVER the side MOLLE panels (not below them). Larger pouches (like H20 pouches and IFAKs) often need to be stabilized by running a strap over it. Other than that, home run, VANQUEST!

    I have a 26, hot routing the hydration bladder hose has me a bit perplexed. Around 5:30, you sound like you’re about to give an alternate route for the hose, but never go there (edit: you pick it back up around 7:45, but it sounds like it’s still only coming out through the pockets). I’m really not a huge fan of the hose coming out of the pocket since rain can get in. Is there no port elsewhere to provide a better routing option?

    Great video and I purchased based upon the video. I am returning the pack because the pack has a terrible fit. I'm 6'1'', 210 lbs with an 18 inch torso. The structure of the pack has no curvature at all and with the lack of adjustable harness it has a poor fit. Very disappointed.

    Hi from the UK - please can you tell me does the belt go more around the stomach area? I am 6 ft 1.5 and tried on an Osprey Talon 26 at a local store, found it was way too high on the belt. The Talon 33 was way better hip wise . I don't have a local Vanquest dealer unfortunately. Need to replace my Vanquest Trident 20 with something a little bigger.

    I'd love to see a side by side review of the this and the khard 30 as this pack is a direct rip off of it...

    • @WhispyWoods.
      @WhispyWoods. 6 років тому

      caleb klyne nah the previous ibex 30 was a direct ripoff. This one has some changes to make it more different. Really other than the main zipper track and style of opening what else is the same as the arc'teryx?
      Also, I'm genuinely interested to know what makes the arc'teryx $500. Not busting balls, but truly curious.

    • @calebklyne6406
      @calebklyne6406 6 років тому

      Whispy Woods if you take off the Molle and velcro the design is almost identical. The owner of vanquest has come straight out and said they copy designs and "improve" upon them. I don't doubt that it is a useful pack but it's sad to see a company go through years of development just to have it ripped off. I think more disappointing to me is how quickly quality reviewers endorse companies that steal designs.

    • @WhispyWoods.
      @WhispyWoods. 6 років тому +1

      caleb klyne I can see the similarity, but did arc'teryx patent the way their pack opens? It would be a pretty broad generalization if nobody else could have a U shaped zipper opening.

    • @calebklyne6406
      @calebklyne6406 6 років тому

      Whispy Woods the opening isn't so much the issue, the two packs side by side are identical in shape not to mention the layout is almost identical as well, the only real difference is the Molle and velcro. I'm not saying everyone needs to rush out and buy an arcteryx as they are in my opinion overpriced. But vanquest has made a living off of stealing designs and passing them off as thier own.

    • @WhispyWoods.
      @WhispyWoods. 6 років тому

      caleb klyne the old ibex? Nearly identical. This new one though has a lot more pockets especially in the lid and the overall profile to my eyes is way different. No confusion with this new version. The old version on the other hand.....

    Hi Aaron, been a subscriber for a few years now and just wondered on God’s take on a so called pastor carrying a hand gun? What does this say about a pastors faith in his god? And what is even more worrying is, why does no other American brothers or sisters question this? Why does a so called man of God feel the need to carry a gun? Regards, Dazza.

    • @tnh723
      @tnh723 2 роки тому +1

      being a man of God has nothing to do with carrying a firearm. faith without works is meaningless. you seemed so triggered about it. its your zealotry that should be called into question. its both comical and troubling at the same time

      If an armed criminal broke into your house, would you just let him shoot you and your family up for the sake of being a pacifist?
      If you were stuck in the midst of a school shooting and you had the chance to save kid's lives, you would just say, "oh well, guess it was God's will" and walk away?
