Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.
Omg!! So true. If I could drag a dump truck behind my boat full of tackle I would. And at the end of an 8hr. day i've used mabey a ballcap full of baits, lol. It's an addiction to fishing and there is no cure. You are so passionate in your quest, that's awesome! Keep it up young lady, your career is just getting started. Your on your way to some huge success.
Awesome setup! Thanks for showing this! Especially the tackle organization. I'm new to the kayak tournament world so trying to get ideas on the best way to organize.
Thanks for the walkthrough of your boat. That was really really nice to see how your stuff is laid out. I think I'm going to use some of that same strategy the way you have everything labeled with your weights awesome👍🏽
Sweet rig!! Thanks for sharing very clean and organized! I’m just starting out kayak fishing and it’s awesome love! And hey one day I’m hoping my boat will be a sweet as yours! Fish on your the best much love✌️✌️
Thanks for this video may god bless you in all you’re tournaments that you go to I love the way you’re kayak is rig up Is very well set up and well stocked good luck
Those jars for the hooks, jigs etc. is AWESOME!!! I totally wanna do that! Old guys/gals - remember the old Uncle Josh pork rind jig trailers & how the damn metal lids would get all rusty & crusty? LOL Don't miss that at all! Hahaha
This is super helpful. I traded my 2017 Lowe FS 1610 with 115HP Mercury in the fall to get a tracked side by side for ice fishing (in Ontario). Now that the winter's over, I've been second guessing my spontaneous decision making! I bought a Pelican Catch 120 this year and I'm going to give kayak fishing a shot this season. Hopefully it will make some interesting videos! I'm glad I found your channel.
@@kristinefischer2289 LOL. I actually sold my other side by side (that i bought the same season, in the spring) and bought a Panoptix Ice bundle! I will be rigging that up to the yak this spring too! I should have sold the kitchen appliances instead!
Thanks for sharing your setup... I will share this with my friend Deidre Redwine that just won the Flambeau / Abu Garcia Mike Iaconelli Contest. She loves to fish small bodies of water for bass... and she can catch some lunkers too...
was cool to see you hanging out with Cilla Johnson and Snookie love those 2 ladies looks like you guys had a great time there! cool video as well nice walk through of your kayak and gear.
@@kristinefischer2289 ya Both of them are great and ya enjoying your channel and your videos so keep up the good work and if you ever get down to my neck of the woods in charlottesville virginia hit me up and we will do some fishing together!
Thank you for doing this! Great video again! Good luck to you. I might take the back of my rod holders off to. Gets in the way. The battery that you use is that the same size as like one of them small cabelas battery or no. Thank you again
First one of your videos I have watched. I enjoyed it and was impressed with the floor materials. I don't know how that Hobie seat feels, but I think the Feel Free Adjustable seat may be a few notches above. I use the Plano milkcrate bag, and use the thin Plano 3600 boxes. You can get 11 boxes in the crate, and 2 more in the top zippered compartment.
You just earned yourself a subscriber. Wow! I am getting ready to buy a Hobie 14 for next season. I have a big bass boat, but I need a kayak to get to places I can't get otherwise. Also will be able to fish much more often. By the way, what is the best way to haul the Hobie around? A trailer or just the back of a pickup? Thank you girl.
Sweet...Nearly a year ago! What are you fishing with NOW? Seems like SOME people have a lot of money to put into a "Bass Fishing Machine", whether a 'Yak or a Boat, but YOU have taken the time and put in the effort to have a "Class Act 'Yak"...! My hat is off to you (and if OLA says you're "Alright", I'll take her word for it...!) Haha!
That's awesome ! I have the PA 12. What about the box behind the seat? Thinking about building my own with rod holders. Also the hatch under your legs (when sitting in the boat), is that a hobie accessory? I haven't seen those and I need one so my tackle isn't just laying there under the hatch moving around making noise.
Good morning Kristine, Thank you for all your content that you are putting on UA-cam. Been extremely helpful. I had a question about your fish finder set up. I spoke with the guys over at the dugout and they said they set your system up. The question is what type live scope are you using? And is that enough along or do you have any other set ups such as side and down imaging. One more question on you torpedo set up are you pleased with the way this is working in your fishing? Thanks and hope to hear back from you soon. Randy
Depends- I believe it definitely aids in covering water, and getting to and from spots quicker, but I tend to enjoy the “purity” of kayak fishing being a human powered watercraft. I can move about 4.5 mph sustained for awhile in the Hobie, so that isn’t too bad
Hi Kristina, greetings from Canada. I just found your videos and I'm really enjoying watching them. Your rigged kayak is really impressive. Just wondering, if that is your camper trailer, how you transport those kayaks . Thanks for all the info, stay safe on the water!
My wife and I love to fish and want to get pedal drive kayak would like to know where you bought you. I fish the native catawba River from hickory to norman. In north carolina so any help would be great.
Great set up, you have heaps of tackle ‘ I’m always a bit worried when I take so much tackle and fishing rods’ on the maybe something may go wrong’ what do you think ?
I’ve never had any issues, except once I flipped a Jackson kayak and lost thousands of dollars worth of my stuff :( my go pro fell off and I made a dumb move and swooped over to the side for it

I almost did a video on that, haha. Two ways. When I’m by myself I have to have a small trailer or the “Tbone “ accessory that fits on the back of a truck, where the yak goes in the bed. With the trailer I back t down just like if I had a boat, it goes in the water and is very effective
I need some advice. I purchased a 2020 hobie outback but i was thinking i should had gotten a Pro Angler. I wanted to try ocean fishing and want to know which would be better for that type of scenario? If i can get away with my outback, it would be great but if not, then i rather be safe than sorry.
Haha I have the same issue where I take a ton of stuff with me but I’ve been trying to bump it down a bit. I have this dread that the one thing i don’t bring will be the one thing that would have caught me a fish lol

Great info. Too many comments to see if this has been covered. What trolling set-up are you using these days. Thanks for sharing.
Awsome setup. Good luck at the KBF Championship this weekend.

Did u install that by yourself? Just bought the PA 14 and haven’t rigged it yet, but love your set up. Where did you get the mat?
Yes I did, my electronics and the mat, it’s a kit you can order from any Hobie dealer !

It is a Hobie accessory! The box behind is the Hobie H crate- it’s awesome, holds four rods also. You can definitely build your own also though.

The storage boxes under the seat for your plastics, will they work under the seat in both positions? Thx
