- One of my all time favorite baits, the Strike King Caffeine shad, worked around grass and timber to catch post spawn bass in my kayak in south carolina. Throw this bait and kiss any other fluke style bait goodbye!
You are so right to throw a bait you like, because you will fish them better than one you do not like!
all I can say is WOW , you are a brave lady fishing in a kayak with gators and bare footed

Relatively new to your channel. Don't think I've seen you do this style video before of you just fun fishing. I liked it. I also love the Caffeine Shad, but what makes it great also means so-so durability. Still, there's no better soft jerkbait.

How do u make the lure skip under things like ur doing in this video
Practice and the right rod. Pick your target and don’t take your eyes off of it. Lure weight will affect how you do this

You miss a lot of hits I think do to your line Choice MONO would give you the spring needed to not jerk it out of the mouth
David Reed under all that cover mono would be too slow to sink with a weightless shad. She’s also using a 3/0 hook buried in the plastic so mono doesn’t have the muscle to set the hook. Braid would work best but water way too clear for that. IMO.
Mono wouldn’t work well here. I needed the bait to sink faster and pull fish out quickly. The fish I missed were the smallest of small males and I’d watch them grab the tail. I actually got a few big fish at dusk, but opted for photos instead.
@@livingsurvival Well Im a old school guy with nothing but Berkeley Mono spooled up on my rigs and I think all at 10 lbs never used anything else in my 63 years
did many years of pond hopping in Nebraska river fishing lake you name it Hell we only had MONO period if you were after big cats you spooled up BERKELEY BIG GAME which to me is STILL THE KING OF LINES FOR this Stuff juz sayen

I threw a 12” worm around also - got tired of having 10” bass grab it 😂😂
