When the coil packs are removed it creates a strong vacuum to go along with the tight rubber seal. Make plugs with a few vertical ribs in the porcelain rather than horizontal ones or no ribs at all to overcome this huge amount of friction which usually pulls them apart - often breaking them, too.
Takes about 20 minutes to replace coil packs on our Toyota Rav4 and nothing gets stuck or destroyed. No bad language, either.
Come on VW! The rubber does not need to be this tight. It's not going anywhere.

Warming up the engine first make the whole process a lot easier

Nope. You dont pull plugs from a goddamn aluminum cylinder head on a HOT engine..jesus. Warm to touch is ok (100-120) hot is not. Use dielectric grease in future. Remove the coil, let the boot pull off it. WD-40. Wiggle. It will come free eventually.

First time I replaced the spark plugs on my '14 GLi, the boots had melted onto the spark plugs. Came that way from the factory. New car, first owner.

Peeps, use compressed air to push the stuck part out: after removing head.

Next time go to the dealership or a mechanic that knows what they’re doing instead of trying to save a few dollars by ruining it yourself. Like shown in the video.👍🏻 Great job
