This video is for documenting the journal with the Miata and might not be a good tutorial for the job as I didn’t get a good camera angle. Give this man a medal
my headlights dont self check. could it be the afs power module ?
I'm not sure. Does the warning light comes up immediately after starting up the car?
@ Like 10 seconds after starting. After the oil service warning if you havent change it yet. But im going to buy a obdeleven to scan it. I dont want to buy a a new module and for it keep showing the same error.
Spray WD40 in leave it 5 minutes then shake slowly job done 😂
I started to hear the exact same sound on my 2021 model 3 Tesla, long range...I guess is time to change both wheel hubs (77K miles in it).
That’s exactly what I hear too when going over 50mph in my model y, how much did it cost to replace ?
@@SunShine-bb2nc I got it replaced under warranty. I’ve seen people on forums mentioning that it cost them under $300
@@YiyeTinkers my warranty has expired, I’m thinking about purchasing NSK, SKF brands hub assembly and have local mechanic install them, it’s weird at 65k miles bearings are gone,
@@SunShine-bb2nc Mine’s at 42k miles. The cost at Tesla service center is surprisingly not that pricy, if you are close to one. I’ve done bearing job myself for other cars and it’s a pain in the butt, so I’m not sure if you can get it done much cheaper elsewhere, but wouldn’t hurt to shop around for sure
Will try this next, thx!!
Wonderful tutorial, thank you much
halloween miot
You work in a kitchen huh ?
Nice
❤❤❤❤
Thank you man! Used this tutorial and they came out amazing:)
genuinely thank you so much, bike is running again. i know next to nothing about mechanical stuff, and this was super easy to follow.
Some Golf have loose metal parts under the Front bumper, which exactly results in this noise. Need to weld it or fix it.
Never would have thought about the level dropping after the first start. Thanks man!
I'm having trouble getting the connector to "click" back into place. Is there a particular way or angle that you have to insert it in order for it to click?
Sorry I haven't had the same issue. It was pretty straightforward for my case
@@YiyeTinkers Okay thanks for the reply!
Congrats! This might be the cleanest stock Miata on UA-cam. There really aren’t that many stock NAs left.
After changing bulbs the error still shows up
thank you
I dropped the little washer thing on the negative side battery, it’s still charging so it should be fine right?
What paddock stands are those?
Thanks for sharing. I’m about to do this to mine! Did you clear coat? How has the paint held up?
No I didn’t clear it since the original finish was matte. With the paint it’s a bit too shiny than originally but definitely better than having clear over it. The paint held up okay so far - I try not to rub it too hard when cleaning the wheels.
My 1990 hubs are toast!! Glad I saw this fix! Tomorrow is paint day!👊
Peeps, use compressed air to push the stuck part out: after removing head.
How do you use the rear paddock stand without removing the muffler?
It was very tricky but I was able to find an angle to make it work. It was super close
I had to use an air compressor. Came right off.
air compressor is definitely the way to go if you have access to one 👍🏻makes the job so much easier
When the coil packs are removed it creates a strong vacuum to go along with the tight rubber seal. Make plugs with a few vertical ribs in the porcelain rather than horizontal ones or no ribs at all to overcome this huge amount of friction which usually pulls them apart - often breaking them, too. Takes about 20 minutes to replace coil packs on our Toyota Rav4 and nothing gets stuck or destroyed. No bad language, either. Come on VW! The rubber does not need to be this tight. It's not going anywhere.
thank you
There is a special tool for that
Name of the tool?
Thank you so much, i managed to jump start a Z300 following your steps. ✌️
i feel it just did a set, deadass thought about standing on the car lmfao!
old video i know, but there are new viewers, SO: ok. the sound is not normal. nobody talks about the flywheel, could be the flywheel. if you drive aggressively and hard accelerations especially in between gear changes, the flywheel gets worn out pretty fast. 1-2 years max. if you just bought the car, a gti or whatever, asume that the previous owner raced the car. so it is already pretty worn up.
Next time go to the dealership or a mechanic that knows what they’re doing instead of trying to save a few dollars by ruining it yourself. Like shown in the video.👍🏻 Great job
it is okay to let the battery charge as long as we want?
The charger should be smart enough to know when to stop. So yes it’s okay to keep the battery fully charged
Thank you! Is there any video about changing the headlight bulb? (Low / High)
I haven’t had issue with the headlight bulbs yet. I’m sure there are plenty of good tutorials on youtube
Thank you so much, this worked for me
Thank you! This video is clear and to the point. Just fixed my AFS error by replacing my cornering bulbs! Took less than 10 mins and all thanks to this video.
虽然看不懂 但是很厉害
This is happening to me, my lights do the dance when I turn it on and my cornering lights come on when I put my indicators on. but my lights don’t turn when I go around turns

In love with your Miata videos! Maybe check the camera angle sometimes, unfortunately the view was blocked on this one!
Thanks for the feedback! This was a hard one to film and I agree that it is not tutorial level content. I have link to a good tutorial I referred to for this job, in case viewers need actual help for the project :) More contents to come - I've been doing a lot just haven't got the time to edit the films
Always place positive connector on first and negative(black)should be hooked onto another metal part of the bike away from the battery for safety reasons.Great video though
Yup lesson learned and now I'll remember that forever. Thanks!
Lol
Super dope red NA I also have 1
Nice! I just bought a 93 in very similar condition, unfortunately with some rust on rocker panels. But 55k miles! Looking forward to seeing more miata content
wow 55k miles that's brand new in NA's terms 😀 I've done quite a lot of work on mine. Stay tuned, more content to come :D
That's in lovely condition. Congrats. I have 2 same year and colour. Both have turbo's. 150bhp and 204bhp. Fab cars.
Thanks! I'm working on getting things cleaned up and restored to close-to-factory state and then I'll think about what to do about it next. Gonna keep me busy for quite a while :D
