This video really help me I had three Stuck broken ignition coils😤 in my 2018 Audi A3 with aftermarket coils.. After spraying the WD-40 down the Center Of the broken coil tube I could see the head of the spark plug down it. So I jammed a straight pick Down the hole to loosen the rubber around the spark plug.. Then I made sure it was turning freely with a screwdriver of some kind. Then I poured it out with needle nose pliers in a twisting motion. Trying not to squeeze too hard because I didn’t want to shatter the tube.. Then Like magic I Pulled all three of them out In less than one hour🙏🏾🙏🏾😃 I switched back to OEM👍 FYI I had to use my compressor to blow out some of the debris that I made…
Hello , I have similar happened to my lexus RX 300 , the sleeves where it broke about 1/2 inch from the hard tip , it won't turn . I did what you've said in the video. . I have the sparkplug out from that hole. I'm thinkiing of dilling it with a 7/8 circular saw. gently . but like you said the debis will go inside. thanks . More power to you and your channel..
None of had a great or awesome day if were here watching this video😂😂😂 I panicked when my coil ripped, that voice in the back of my head saying “knew I shoulda just took it to a mechanic”😪🤦🏾♂️ thanks for the help 🫡
Never thought of that! Your video gave me the idea to make a couple of similar 'probes' out of lengths of wire coat hanger with a hook formed on the end using snub-nosed pliers. Worked a treat so many thanks!!!
Man you are a life saver! God bless you brother just for this one video you need 10,000,000 views make a tik Tok of this procecess man ppl need to see this when I just realized my spark plug was broken 💔💔💔💔💔 I almost just had a panic attack up there at AutoZone parking lot but I feel much better I may try to get it out of my g35 I may take it to my mechanic he works with me. So we will see but thank you so much
My 2009 Ford Edge has this problem, Every single one of them the coil tip remained when i removed the coil pack no matter how gingerly i tried to work it out. Luckily i has already bought all new coils , but i tore them apart removing them, I ended up having the best success with a hook type tool, the back 3 were the hardest because i couldn't see them. The trick in not letting any pieces of the boot fall into the plug hole is to make sure there are no remaining pieces before removing the plug, I blew it out with an air hose THEN removed the plug. I found out afterward you can just buy the coil tips instead of the whole thing. Oh well, Spare's !
Thank you. I didn't wait 2 hours. Just 10 seconds. And got it off with pliers. I turned it as instructed. I tried to remove the WD-40 with cloth before returning the coil. It looks like it got far inside the cylinder. I didn't spray a lot though. Just enough on sides and pulled in less than a minute.
I’m not sure what’s stopping my socket wrench from going around the spark plug. I think it might be a grommet from a socket. The car runs rough but not a dead solid miss. I just don’t think it could run that good with a broken coil. What do you think?
Ive always taken the spark plus sockets and cut angled teeth in them then you can hook it UP to your impact and cut them out. It Will grab the spark plug and pull it out when your Down far enough. I rebuild engines so i do this With the heads off the car and completely torn aparte. Just dont let the spark plug come out if its on the engine, remove all debris before you take the plugs out. Hope this helps some of yall!

Your video give me some ideas with a problem that I’m having. However, the issue I have is the whole coil is stuck in the Shaft. The top piece of the ignition coil with the connector broke off and the rest of the ignition coil is stuck in the cylinder and I can’t even turn it. Any ideas?
I have a 2011 bmw, can I start the car to blow the pieces out with the fuel rail off. The main reason the boot got stuck because the coils popped out and the fuel rail was leaking inside of it causing the booth to get stuck
No you cannot blow the pieces out by starting the car, if you cannot take the spark plug out you cannot do anything, and the reason they stick is not fuel it is the heat and rubber piece melting inside the cylinder and stick around spark plug
Can I use a glue and place coil back to stick with the rubber and do I have to change the coils?. I wanted to change the sparkplugs but got the coil separated of the rubber, I placed it back and it is still working good with no misfire.
Tried this method didn’t work car was completely cooled 1 day without running sprayed a lil wp40 tried to twist but nothing it’s like if the plastic melted on or got stuck
Great video! can you please help me ? If the top part of the coil pops off while attempting to take it out of the hole and the bottom half stays stuck inside, if i just put the top back on will it still work? My coils are good i was just trying to change my valve cover gaskets. So what do you think? Can anyone help me please?

Your recommendation of using WD-40 helped greatly removing the broken coil out of the Mini Cooper S. Thanks for the video!

Thanks for the tips sir ! Got one tearing on the spark plug I'm gonna try some picks

Make sure you have the right size socket and put light and see if any difference between this and other spark plugs

Dang that’s a rough day
same for me. what did you do?

Awesome
Do I need to replace sparkplug after I remove the rubber boot?
Leonardo Perez no if they are new
How do I get it out if coil is broken in half not just the boot
Great advice . Maybe spray a little on before they break if you feel resistance
Do you spray the cylinder with wd-40? I need help please
edgar torres if the rubber stock there yes and let it sit for couple hrs
cartech ga thank you
Isn’t it going to drip into the piston? If so will that screw up the engine
Depending where the boot breaks, compressed air works majority of the time
Can you describe this method?
Can i still run it without ignition coil rubber boot ?
No it will misfire
Can I use a glue and place coil back to stick with the rubber and do I have to change the coils?. I wanted to change the sparkplugs but got the coil separated of the rubber, I placed it back and it is still working good with no misfire.
Mine is ford taurus 2015 running 180k km with stock sparkplugs and coils (never been changed)
Hi no ok don’t use glue, the method I showed is the best in my opinion
Be honest I’ve never used glue I cannot tell you use it or not
@@Matthewjo22 thanks man 🌹
Why do ppl consider a torch a basic tool? Not helpful
I have an acura mdx 2003 the coil broken in half in the engine , the bad part is its the back side of the car , please help I can't take it out

No you should change it, because if coils are broken you will have misfire
Mine is stuck on the back cylinder 3 on an Odyssey. Only the tip is in there i don't know what to do
Use the one of the method, normally the one I heat up the tools is more effective
You explain things slower than a baked potato off a dab g but good advice
I see no thing only talking 😵
This shit just happen to my 08 335i
