    Thank you for the amazing video doc!
    Also Dr. Ben Thompson, I see that you completed your training at UCSF Medical Center, one of the best medical programs in the state of California,. My question for you is, during your training and years of practice did you ever come across other health professionals (PA, NP, MD, PT, OT, etc.) who completed their training with tinnitus or who are currently practicing? I want to pursue a career in the health professionals but with my tinnitus I have so many doubts. If you could share any success stories about professionals with tinnitus that would be very much appreciated. Thank you for all of your hard work.

      @@treblehealthgreetings from Australia. Great content. Thank you. Can I ask your opinion.
      I have had mild tinnitus for approx 15 years. Never really bothered me. Probably around a 2. Could only really notice it if I was in an air tight room but never during the day or evening and never when sleeping.
      Around 6 weeks ago, during a hair cut I felt some uncomfortable pain in my ears when the barber trimmed with the electric shaver. Probably only for about a minute each side.
      I didn’t think much of it but a few days later my tinnitus spiked to an 8 and hasn’t subsided, I hear it all the time and have trouble sleeping.
      The ENT says the low decibels could not damage your hearing but I’m 99% sure this was the cause of the spike.
      Have you had any patients that have similar experiences.? Do these type of spikes ever settle back to previous volume?

    That’s not how you pronounce tinnitus.

    • @treblehealth
      @treblehealth  2 місяці тому +5

      Hi there, while we understand that pronouncing the word "tin-ih-tuhs" seems a little strange, there is actually a reasoning for this. In Latin, the ending -ITIS refers to inflammation -- think tendonitis, arthritis, etc. Even though the word tinnitus ends in -ITIS, tinnitus itself is not caused by (or due to) inflammation -- therefore, the ITIS is not pronounced in the same way as conditions that are related to inflammation.
