A whole series rebuilding the entire thing including the camper would be so good to watch.
agreed
Yepper!
Yes.
can't wait!
Yes please
I'd watch EVERY minute of that Lincoln Camper restoration. Would love to see you guys take it all the way!
Me too
Me too
Same here
I would definitely love to see a full restoration series on this! Keep up the great work!
This must be pretty rare, I'd never seen a Lincoln being turned into a camper before!
This deserves to be restored and preserved in the most beautiful condition!
Such a vehicle can't be left to die . This needs to be saved and rebuilt.
100% interested. Would be nice to see a full restoration done in this camper.
I absolutely LOVE 1960's campers! 😍 Still spartan enough to feel like you're actually camping..... but modern enough to not feel like you're totally roughing it! Lol! I would soooo love to see you guys restore this rig! It just screams Mid-century Modern! And, I know some folks would be against this....... But it would be nice to bring it back to its original Glory! (As in the wood paneling, drab olive greens, and 60s flair" 🥰
I clicked that button a long time ago.....
Keep the project going!
She deserves a new lease on life.
Would love to see this rebuilt. Would be a great timecapsule.
I don't really care what direction you guys go with the camper build. I just want to see more of it. I will like what ever you guys do to it
AGREE!!!
Agree
Except scrapping it, I don't think you'd like that lol
That's camper so cool love it
Hopefully not straight to Hades?
Never seen anything like it. Would like to see this camper totally restored.
It is so unique and one of a kind.....REBUILD/RESTORE IT!!!
This vehicle deserves a full restoration...!!!!
For real Man!!!
Iwouldlike tosee you todrop the didelin
Agreed 100%
I second that request
agreed 👍
HECK YEA MOVE FORWARD WITH IT!!! That is too cool! Caught me by surprise with the 12 valve but that’s not a terrible idea, that would be awesome! No matter what you chose for drivetrain it’s worth somebody saving no matter what. The camper section is going to be the most difficult and time consuming part but at the end of the day your going to have something killer! Man I love that thing.
My brother still has my Dad's 1960 Lincoln Continental. Love this motorhome!! ❤❤❤
Diesel Pusher ! Gets my vote. This is a very cool BEAST !
Personally I’d love to see the 420 rebuilt. So satisfying to see something like that (age specific) come back to life. It’d be good learning for newbie learners like me, too.
Having said that, we support your decisions one way or the other, and I’d still watch to see what you do!
It’s definitely a one of a kind and deserves a rebuild. Great job guys!
Keep the outside as”original “ possible but upgrade the rest.
Definitely a full restoration and renovation.
I normally dont leave comments, but ! YES !! need more from this build.
I cannot wait to see this Lincoln come back to life. I'm here to follow this entire story🤙
Please do more on this project. This camper is too cool, and deserves to be restored. Can hardly wait.
This vehicle deserves a full restoration...!!!!. This vehicle deserves a full restoration...!!!!.
Pull the 430 out and rebuild it. A would love to see this camper restored to a show car. This is, without a doubt, a very unique and classy item. Prayers to you both and to sis also.
One of the most interesting campers I've ever seen! Please continue with this build!
My personal vote is to see the original motor rebuilt! Great job on this one as always guys! Maybe turn the back into a limo style seating area with 60s style couches?
Yep. This car is a piece of history. What keeps the value on historical cars is to preserve the original pieces and specially the engiine, brakes system and drive.
I'd like to see the full restoration and a trip to a lake in the end. Definitely an upvote from me!
P.S. I'd actually try to rebuild the original engine. Despite its condition, I believe it's worth a try at least :)
From the exterior, that is one ascetically slick looking motorhome. It's pure 1960's-'futurist' body styling. And something that is worth restoring/ rebuilding. It would certainly make peoples head's turn. It caught my attention from the thumbnail of the video.
I don't mind which engine goes in, I just want to see it restored and on the road again because it's super cool.
Was at Lincoln Land (Clearwater) recently and spoke to a guy who was there that owns one. He’s about to start traveling with his. He explained what I had always heard… a few (maybe 10-15) were taken off the assembly line and taken to the place that did the conversions. Definitely rare indeed. I’ll make sure to watch this one all the way through. ✌🏽 & good luck!!
I saw one of these lincoln campers a few years ago in Webster Fla and took pictures of it. I told chris Dunn of lincoln land about it. Maybe the one you spoke of was the same I saw.
@@geralderdek282 thanks it might’ve been. It was one of Chris’s customers. The guy said he’s about ready to drive it all across the country. He’s retired now… Thanks for the comment that’s pretty cool.
Best father and son team on youtube!
What did you guys ever do with that old girl? I wanna see the progress!
My Brother-In-Law built his own camper on a 62 Fairlane Compact , he kept the entire 4 door Cabin intact as they had 3 kids and they all fitted in , It was one of the cars that I learned to drive in too ...
100% interested in this one being revived. I think the 12v is the perfect donor motor for that tank too, but rebuilding what she's already got would be a fun option as well. Would be really awesome to see the interior of the camper get a nice resto and like you said at the start of the video have a really cool rig to take road tripping, to events, etc. I would watch every video if y'all made a series out of doing a full resto motor/interior on this one, such a cool unique vehicle!
It would be a huge amount of work but swapping in the 12v Cummings and gutting the interior for a complete updated look on the inside while keeping the old rustic exterior would be pretty sweet. Update the shocks and frame as well. Great job very entertaining to watch!
That’s kinda what we’re thinking too! Thanks for watching!
Please restore it and put the Cummings in it !! Love your show !!!!
Just a little comment from Denmark. We don’t have many of these old boats over here, but we love watching big, classic American cars coming back to life. It seems like a big project, but it would be cool watching a full restoration on this one!
Move forward with it! It couldn’t hurt to hit up a company called Flyte Camp who is a vintage trailer restoration company that used to have the Flippin’ Rv’s TV show and also has a UA-cam Channel. Never know maybe you could get some help or advice with the camper part which could help grow their channel in return. They do amazing work.
So much potential in that Lincoln. The Interior would look great in a retro style. The camper would make for an excellent series for us to follow. You guys have the skills to do it, keep up the great videos.
I love seeing you both in your element. Wonderful video. You guys are great. Love to watch the total restoration, as the other comments suggest. You take care, under that sun 🌄 well done both of you 💖🌟
Every chance I watch your guys doing builds or bringing to life old rust makes me happy. I like old cars come back to life. I still call you guys Geniuses. If it was me i always like Cummins Diesel power. think that old girl would get her good treatment with lots of power. I think the camper should be brought to life. She wants a restoration. Make that old girl live again would brighten up my day. I would consider doing projects just the same. I cannot see cars waste away. God would agree with me on this one. I would bless the new camper to live once more. God bless you guys for making it possible for old cars to live again. 🤠❤
Man, this rig and is so unique and so cool it deserves a full redo, rebuild and restoration! For sure it will take a lot of work and a fair bit of money to put everything back (especially the interior of the camper shell) into tip top shape, but what a cool and utterly amazing RV you'll have when you're done! Three thumbs up for this project!👍👍👍
Yes please move forward with the project I want to see that old camper up and running
I'm all for throwing the Cummins in it and then watching you guys remodel the camper as well. I believe the "Town/Country" on the radio controls was a designation for some of the big ford wagons back in the day. They named them "Town & Country" if I'm not mistaken.
Please do more on this project. This car deserves a full restoration.
I would love a full resto including the original motor. That being said I will still watch the heck out of whatever you guys decide, but yes, more videos of it please.
Good morning Lance, Wyatt and Christian. I would say this Incredible rare vehicle really deserves a Full Restoration. Complete strip down, take off the Camper part of the rear end, take out the Engine, have a Good look underneath on the vehicle lift. This will be a Great RESTORED one off for your Incredible Channel. Test your Great Restoration Skill, Quality, Knowledge and Produce a really Good project to follow Your Amasing ability to bring back Alive this Beautiful American Classic vehicle. What a Great Channel you have created Lance, Wyatt and Christian. Well Done to all of You. Big Respect. Jonathan. 🙂🙂👍👍👍👍
God bless you all. My vote is for the Cummins D👍
Rebuild restore run that beast! Let's Do This!
I think the Diesel is a good choice to pull that heavy camper around, it also will improve your travel a lot. Make it reliable and useful camper and save the style.
Diesel
What I was thinking. A big Cummins Deisel motor would be ideal.
But a diesel is noisy. The 430 Lincoln engine is nice and quiet.
@@michaelbenardo5695 That depends on a whole bunch of things Michael. A 439 Big Block isn't so quiet with performance exhaust system!
Diesels have come a long way in noisiness and sophistication and again it depends on exhaust.
I sue do hope the 430 gets saved abd rebuilt, but it's probably best placed in the hands of Lincoln enthusiast. That's my opinion anyhow.
@@michaelbenardo5695 Is it? I donno which one really is more noisy, but the fuel improvement and driveability would be way better with Diesel. Maybe also the heat issue.
The diesel for sure!! But you're going to have a LOT of commitment here to bring this camper back to life!! She needs a LOT of work!
I would like to continue watching the continuation of this project
Full restoration with original motor is my first choice. Swapping the cummins would be alright too, just not first choice. Good luck and keep them coming!
1000000% save it! It deserves it. The Cummins will be a great choice. I’d suggest at the very least least tarping the roof If it’s going to be stored outside till you get to it. The more you can get it to dry out the better. Your going to have to tear the camper part down to the bones but it will be worth it.
If you guys plan on restoring it completely,I would definitely put in that diesel. That way you won't have to worry about the weight if you'd redesign the camper.
Yeah for sure would be cool to see it restored and the cummins swap would be icing on the cake.
отличный дом на колесах - его просто необходимо оживить!!! молодцы парни!!!
Would love to see a full restoration on this! A series showing the the diesel motor swap and full camper rebuild. It's just so unique it should be saved
I totally dig this camper Lincoln, I'm old and remember when this sort of build was more common: big lazy engine that drove way more comfortably than the pickup campers of the day. The reason for the 2 barrel carb was the expected low rpm operation - most of these spent their whole life below 3,000 or so rpm. It would be a labor of love to redo this car - but it would be the life of the old car shows wherever it goes.
It's important to note...as I've had RV campers all my adult life, and the highways and byways of today, you need 'power' to make some of the mountain grades in North America, and I'm betting the stock engine is a low horsepower engine, so the Cummin's would do a far better job at keeping the weight of this vehicle moving on those long grades much better, as well as the cooling system for the Cummins would be more apt to keep it cool on long grades. Now, if it where flat land driving, it would be a different story, but where I live there are long steep grades to get to most locations that most people want to get too!
@@Powerstroke98 I'm sure you will go with the Cummins swap (be prepared to do some serious engine crossmember surgery!) Now for more 430 history that you didn't know you needed: The 430 was part of the MEL engine series. The most powerful 430 was the Super Marauder 3x2 carbureted version in 1958 as the first Detroit engine rated at 400 hp, and either 480 tq. or 510 tq. depending on where you look it up. Few buyers of Lincolns were of the hot rod variety, so the 315 hp or 325 hp 2 barrel versions of 1960 were fine and made somewhere around 450 tq. Your pistons may not be as corroded as you think (yes they are corroded) because the original 430 pistons had a very unusual shape that strangely included two small dagmar protrusions (replacement pistons have a more conventional shape. The MEL engines and the GM W series 348/409 both have flat cylinder heads with the combustion chamber being a wedge cut of the piston. Fun fact 1: the first 9 second street car in the 1960's was a 6-71 supercharged Lincoln 430 in a T-bucket. Fun fact 2: the MEL had a larger Super Duty version up to 534 cubic inches for commercial trucks. Fun fact 3: Seamaster Marine offered a low rpm twin turbo version of the 534 from the late '60's rated at 657 tq. Really fun fact 4: the successor to the 430, the 462 was the most uniquely American engine displacement - at 57.75 cu in per cylinder that is also one quart, so the 462 displaces 8 quarts. Some engineer had fun with that.
Rebuild everything!!!! Keep it as original as possible!!!!!
Regarding the radio, the "town" & "country" buttons corresponded to "local" & "distant" sensitivity settings. When set to "town / local" the radio's sensitivity was reduced in order to minimize interference from street lights, phone lines etc... The "country / distant" setting allowed the radio to operate at maximum sensitivity to tune in stations far away in rural areas where interference sources were less prevalent. It'd be cool to have that restored and keep it original to the car using an fm converter with additional amplifiers added. Restoration of that old AM probably wouldn't be too costly. That entire rig is cool as Hell ! It appears to be derived from a 1958 Lincoln Mark III (possibly 1959) which was bigger and offered more power than Cadillac at the time. The cars were notorious for structural issues, especially in their suspension due to being too big and heavy for their unit body design. You'll probably find a lot of frame grafting was done to ruggedize it for the load it's bearing. Still, for something that awesomely cool and unique 😎, it's definitely worth a full "period correct while improved" restoration ! Please stay after that one ! While it's rough; it's nowhere near a lost cause and, again, that things beautifully special and unique. It's totally worth devoting a few years to ! Never seen a rig like that before and doubt we will again.
this thing totally deserves a chance.
I have seen one of these once. It was a runner, new put away for awhile, never saw that one again. This could be an expensive rebuilt for someone like you. If not for some else who wants to take a year to rebuild. I just love you guys. How's the new little boss doing. God bless this family in Texas.
I think you should put the Cummings engine in the Lincoln. I think it would cool. Question, is there any way to get the camper off the car to see what it's like nderneath. Hopeful there are no surprise in the body of that car. I am all on the rebuilding of this one of a kind. Say hi to the family and kiss the little one for me.
Love to see you rebuild the roasted engine back to life
I rarely see people rebuilding the original motor back in projects these days, and seeing something with a 430 in it is rarer still. As much as I like the 12V Cummins, this old Lincoln deserves to have the original power-plant back in it, preferably with a bigger carb on top that's capable of feeding it properly (that's the only real upgrade I'd do to it). I'd LOVE to see a series on rebuilding this classic from front to back (motor, transmission, cab, and camper).
I would also like to see this completely redone, it’s really unique
Definitely the 12 valve Cummins and it would be awesome to see y'all deck out the inside! Would love to see what you guys could create on this beauty!! 🤜🤛
That is so cool. I can't wait to see it when it's finished.
Bring the camper to life
I would like to see the original engine repaired and put back in, it’s a very rare car and might possibly be the only one built and if not one a small handful but definitely one of only a few surviving ones still around and if not the only one left. But of course this is my opinion…
I saw another one in Webster fla. 2 years ago. I also would love to see them retain that 430 engine.
I'm all for dropping in that Cummins and for ya'll to make it your own style. Love ya'll's videos keep up the great work.
I love watching your father and you working together. I would have killed for that sort of relationship with my Dad but all he would do is put me down and fight over everything. I vote for the diesel and ant you to get one of those laser anti rust things to bring your work to another level. I would love to see the interior completely restored to a better than 2024 standard with the rat rod exterior just preserved and cleared.
One of a kind build/restore. Definitely a unique collectors item project that will generate lots of views.
Heck yeah i fully support you swapping it with the Cummins Diesel, as for the Camper part, i truly belive its too far gone for restoration, I would trash that part and maybe find another Camper in better condition that would set right down on it in its place. Love this Channel!
That’s one of most unique vehicles I’ve ever seen I think I would fully restore it love it
I'd watch either option!! Go for it Lance.
This thing looks awesome. Definitely a unique vehicle.
I am definitely interested in seeing more on this one. I would love to see if you can save the original motor before you swap it. If it is too far gone, then do the swap. There is so much you could do with this one.
I've never seen one of these before, and there can't be many of these left, since these types of vehicles don't normally last this long. I didn't even know these existed. This one definitely deserves some TLC. You guys come up with some really unique vehicles sometimes. Thanks for sharing this one. It could be really expensive and time consuming project, but it is too cool. It is possible that they filled it with something, since it is a motorhome. I had a vehicle that I knew was going to sit for a few years once, so I filled the motor with ATF so it wouldn't rust. They could have done the same thing since these don't get driven every day anyway.
I wore my RESTORED Tshirt today and I saw this viideo pop up on my feed today. God bless you guys!
I love seeing you both in your element. Wonderful video. You guys are great. encouraging me and my 15-year-old son,we Love to watch the total restoration, as the other comments suggest. You take care, have good one.
Would love to see you guy's do a full rebuild and bring that old girl back to life, ad her former glory, sending love and prayers from us all here in England x
What an awesome project the front end body style is so so unique you gotta make it into something fun! wow, have fun ...we'll enjoy watching for sure thanks for saving these treasures
We sure miss you guys when you don't post newer videos, thank you keep up the good work we love it.
Please do the camper because I like to see it up and running like a champ
What's great about these, is I can forget about our insane world for a bit.
Das ist auch gut so,schön ABSCHALTEN.
Isn’t that the truth!!!
Amem.
Amazing, how the politicians of today, seem to be out of touch with the public! All parties need to take a good look in the mirror, and decide who would be educated enough to get out of this current cycle of insanity! So often, their making decisions based on votes, rather than what's good for the people!
Please do an entire restoration series on this! Coolest motor home I’ve ever seen!!!
It would sure win the ugly show.
they never restore anything lol
absolutely the pinnacle of style !!!! 100% right !
That camper definitely deserves a go. Swap out that engine and get it in the camper. I am loving these videos.
Would be awesome either way. To see you bring an engine that far gone back to life would be cool. Seen some crazy stuff. Like the yellow submarine boat that Merlin and his guys got running again after being sunk for years in lake powell. But to see this big old boat of a camper retrofitted with a 12 valve would be awesome as well.
I watched the Yellow Submarine get restored and taking the owners for a ride. It will be cool when they can finally give it back.
awesome i was just watching the repeats and bang this new video pops up these video are great for slowing down anxiety, the calmness and decency of this family working together is UA-cam Prozac, ive seen in the comments others agree that these videos help with depression and anxiety
I can’t wait to see what y’all do with the old rig. The Cummins swap would be really neat to watch along with some type of restoration of the camper and cockpit area. Any way you go I’ll be here to watch. Keep up the great work.
Extremely unique, nice find!
What a treasure find for sure and love to see this restored, renovated and rebuilt to its original will be awesome to see done, I'll be watching your video contents on this for sure. I have a love for classics they were far better built in the day to still last when given enough TLC needed these days. Looking forward to see the outcome to the finished work. 😉👍
This needs to be brought back to life. It's just too rare not to do something with it.
Remember when you got that one Saw you got that 57 Chevy running that good my dad had lots of Chevy love them old cars and truck from Indiana love your videos
Let’s see it brother!!!
Would be a great series to see the camper restoration
I always like to keep things original if at all posable. With that being said, if you two would prefer swapping it; then I have no problem with it. Although I am not a big Ford fan, that is a very rare vehicle; and it would be cool to see it in original condition. All I really want is to see you take it on power tour! ;-}} Keep up the good work and follow your heart.
That's the best idea I've read yet except it needs that 12 valve put in though!
Привет. Я из России и мне очень нравится то что вы восстанавливаете старые автомобили. С меня подписка с вас контент. 😊
Would love see you get that old Lincoln going again and see it all refitted out that would my gut feeling BUT ITS YOU GUYS THAT HAVE TO WORK HARD ONIT 👍👍👍🇬🇧
