I had to stop your video where I seen the Man from Sling Blade, Billy Bob Thorton as Karl, say, It Ain't Got No Gas In It☺️🤣☺️Loved that movie. Just started watching your video and I am liking it. I will be watching more videos and if Y'all don't mind, I would like to share with my 2 brothers, David and Wayne. They both mechanics, just donate any license. They have always worked on their own vehicles as long as I can remember. David my oldest brother living, is legally blind now, but he still tries to help Wayne out whenever he can. Have a Wonderful day 😊 ☺️ 😀
The commercial you were thinking of was for "Mr. Microphone"
The guy says "hey good looking, we'll be back to pick you up later." ❤ the 70s and 8os advertising 😂
The battery isolator controller prevents you from running down the main batteries if you run the 12v accessories if the engine is not running. In other words, if you run your interior lights until the batteries are run down, you can still start the engine.
You boys need to make a full length movie, I’d pay to see that. Love your channel, I about wet my pants from laughing at your shenanigans getting those old rigs running. Thanks for bringing some humor into my week, I so do appreciate it.
The 2 6 Volt Batteries hooked up in Series are the House Batteries. There is supposed to be a 12 Volt Starter Battery next to the House Batteries.
Good to know!
That Generator would run if you put some propane in the the Rv it’s not gas or diesel it runs off propane awesome video looks like a lot fun
Hi, I'm Andy. I liked seeing how you revived this RV truck. I would like to see the second part, seeing this truck driving on the road. Excellent work, guys. Congratulations. 😉👏🖐

This was impressive! I have never seen so many gravity checks as you and Wally tried to do the battery install. The lead in those terminal bolts was trying to get back to mother earth. Must have been all the lead in them. Great video as always.
Felistasiones a los grandes maestros mecánicos favulosos estraordinario maravilloso són los mejores del mundo saludos cordiales dé la república de Chile por la razón o la fuerza
Id love to see a part 2 to this and maybe a pressure wash before and after !💗💗
I'd love to see that gen get running too and a good clean
Pressure washing would flood the inside probably judging on the wallpaper and ceiling it has quite a bit of leaks
Yall need to get up with Commander Todd at Project Farm and ask him about the armabago. It's a big block that pullos trees over and such. Bible is coming truer every day! BLESSINGS!
FARMBAGO...

@@m9ovich785 Yep.
God be with you both hank! Keep up the videos like this. Love the “will this pile of junk start”!!! Love it!!!!
@8:30 You're referring to 'Mr. Microphone' The short range FM wireless microphone that would transmit to any FM radio on the tuned frequency. Just flip it on, and talk to anyone nearby.
"Hey good looking, be back to pick you up later!"
Not a bad little find as long as the structure is there, great start up, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Now that was fun to watch , I own what we call a Motorhome in Scotland I had a 6 berth kontiki 2.5 diesel for over ten years and it was a 89’ I sold it last year just £500 less than I originally bought it for, your video on this brings back many happy memories, these can easily be stripped and refitted quiet easily as long as damp hadn’t got in to the floor or sides otherwise it a strip to framework and if you going that far may be worth strip it all out and re kit it with newer fittings ect and 44k on miles is that first time or second time around ?? I did around 40k mikes in my ownership abd it was close to the 100k mark when I sold mine so it hardly done any miles if they genuinely correct .
Just keep putting up these videos I love my Saturday night Hamiltion farm show .
All I know about RVs is that they are big gas hogs. This one looks like it is well past its prime days. May be a good candidate for the scrap yard since it would cost more to refurbish than what it is worth.
I grew up near Sayre PA and had a grandfather that worked at Jim’s , very cool to see an RV from there!! Thanks again for another great video 😎
Very cool!
Awesome Story, appreciate you sharing. I commented how You were on the Northern Borger & I’m on the Southern Border of the Commonwealth, in Hanover. Yea, where Utz Chips are Made!😂 keep it Safe Sir
@@davidcolesr.8628 love UTZ chips , I also lived in Altoona PA for about 10 years before moving to my current and final home 🤞🏻here in Georgia, Altoona was also the home of Benzel Pretzels and Boyer candy ( mallow cups ) and if I ever move again it will be back to PA such a beautiful state !! Take care thank you for your comment .
Hey Hank, quick suggestion, see if you can pick up a good old fashioned G.I. surplus machete, use a magnet to fasten it to the lid of the toolbox, and you’ll have something for the weeds, and small trees and such , God bless you both, enjoy y’all’s videos, take care , see y’all later
And Snake's
Who Pooted ??
It's sad that people let these things go to waste..
Thanks Guys...
2 guys having fun together that's what I like to see 😉👍
Could you have pulled the grill off the front to gain easier access to the batteries? Looked that way on the video 🤔
THE LOWER GRILLE is hinged at the top for easier access! You will also want to hook up your 12 volt battery to the cables for your left. This is the battery for the engine and chassis.
You two are so fun! God bless you both!
That little onan would be wonderful as a backup generator. The one I found had a 2 cylinder flat engine, like half a VW beetle engine.
Hey guys just a some friendly advice about your the best ground for your test light. The key in the ignition is the best ground.
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable.
Good job guys on this old rv. Not much left of it. All used up I would say. Lots of different systems on these units.
You guys did great. It’s going.
Thanks for everything.
Take care hank and Wiley.
The Iowa Farm Boy.
Thanks for watching!
That dipstick went back to the differential
🤣😂🤣😂
straight out the tailpipe 😹
Awesome job on the gas engine for a change, you all did good on this one. Makes you wonder at one time how much fun maybe a family had using that bad boy. I appreciate you guys having clean fun. I will be in Mexico City Beach at the end of May if you want to buy me some shrimp and fish at Cat 5's.... LOL
Heard that pace is getting rebuilt to be very nice
what i’d do is carry spark plug wires so if you needed a set to test something or just a wire in this case. you need to check the oil in the gen. summer starting/ spring onwards. winter setting. usually you’d go out run stuff and or plug your rv in to keep stuff up. neglects gets you mid evil mess
The other two batteries are for the starter and the other one is for the stuff on the RV itself
Hank on the rats, chewing spark, plug wires. I've always heard that they use vegetable oil when pulling the layers together making them that's why the rats chew on them.
This reminded me of the old '78 Allegro my late wife (passed away almost 24 years ago) and I bought and fixed up. It has basically the same floor plan. The batteries were in a slide out tray on the driver's side of the rig. We had a lot of fun in that thing even though it did try our patience a few times with the breakdowns but it was well worth everything just to enjoy the trips in it. That 454 Chevy engine was really strong. The worst thing we had happen was the trip down to south Florida when we pulled into a BP station (we should have known) and got a bunch of water in the fuel tanks. The generator was the first thing to fail and after that it was a battle just to get it back home. I had to drive with my foot on the floor and hope no state trooper was in a bad mood that day. We made it home just as the fuel began to clear up and I could drive it like normal. The one time I needed fuel alcohol and NOBODY had any! It didn't seem to hurt the engine any and the Onan started right up once I drained and flushed the carburetor bowl. If I had the time left, and the money to fix it up, I'd love to have this old rig. None of the modern computerized junk to have to fight with. A trip to Lowe's pretty well provides everything you need to repair it.
The space for another battery is most likely for a coach battery to run interior lights and water pump. Great vidio. Thanks
I loved the “hummus” joke. To quote Larry the cable guy “ I don’t care who you are, that’s funny right there!”
Lol
Y'all need to remember the only
reason they make Chevrolet is to give Ford something to pull
I'd sure like to have that generator.
A lot of these old RVs had an extra battery for starting but ran on 2 batterys but the relays often burnt out and were disconnected or bypassed.
Enjoy watching you 2 getting these old pieces of equipment running with your jokes and carrying on with on another thanks for the videos
I've got a 92 Fleetwood Coronado and its probably 70% similar. Bought it started it drove it home 60+miles a year ago. It will crank right up. Mine has a 12v and supposed to have 2 6 volts for house power but I've yet to completely figure that out. It seems the 2 6v would power the crank on the generator and ..... The Odometer (led)? Although the 12v house power seems to only come off the converter after generator being started. I really love it just wish I was better at carpentry and such. The engine runs and drives but seems as its been sitting most of its life. If I wanted to get that engine and transmission to top shape what would be best recommendations. I would love to take a 2k mile trip in it. any suggestions are appreciated.
I'd love to own a RV like that,I'd have it and live in it year round...of course this one needs a little work ,but it's what I've always wanted.✌️ Great video, you guys finally got something started 😀😀😀 lol! God bless!
You know you can get an RV for a real good price that's in good shape right now! Covid got people to buy them like they were going out of style, and well, they are now out of style so they're SUPER cheap!! Go for it!
8:38 I hate Blues brothers 🤕🤕🤕🤕! My uncle, definitely ok for him tho😌 I love the elevator scene
@8:23 the commercial was "Mr Microphone".
It's crazy how many RVs actually end up like this, people spend a lot of money on them, they use them for a few years, then in the end they get parked and end up like this.
There's a much older one on auction near me, very similar condition inside.
Wiley is correct, it's a Chevy with AGI not a Ford or Dodge, It Will Run.
Just as it sits right now - not cleaned up - Cousin Eddy would love to own that motor home! Hopefully, the rubber sheets and the gerbils are optional!
Thank you Hank, I appreciate your APPRECIATION
This is probably on a workhorse p30 chassis I would think, it should have some kind of drum break on the tailshaft of the transmission if it is. I have a 2000 Condor RV with the last gen 454
Unfortunately that unit has major water damage inside as you can see on the walls where the moisture destroyed the wood. You could rebuild it but it would require complete rebuild.
Good to see you Fella’s, Sayre is On North Border of Pa., as I am Directly South & Setting on the Southern Border, Both Central East & West. Far Too Cold on that Spectrum, I’m about done with it now and I’m on the South Coast. I’ll take the Deadly Snakes, I’m Done W/ Cold!
I haven't watched in a long time now but if there was a channel I would watch it's you and Wiley hands down😊
I think those old Fleetwoods sit on Chevrolet P30 chassis. They also used those for busses i believe
Boa tarde muito ótimo esse serviço carro tão bonito amigo
An RV will have a starter battery and one or more leisure batteries to power the 12v systems in the RV itself.
The two electrical systems will be isolated from one another with some sort of split-charge relay so as to make sure that the starter battery is prioritised over the leisure batteries.
The BEST place for this thing is the junkyard. I had a '93 Pace Arrow and it was all I could do to keep it maintained. RVs that old and sitting for that long develop mold and rot and are totally unrepairable. I guess if you are a scavenger who enjoys messing around with these things more power to you. I made the mistake of trying to drive mine across the US and had nothing but problems. There wasn't an RV place that would look at it because it was too old. Unless the previous owner(s) meticulously maintained it by regular service, both the drivetrain and the body to prevent water intrusion and kept it in a climate-controlled environment, forget it.
Hank, You know better than to say he would get shocked from 12 volts Right? You can get burnt but never shocked Hank also You have to spray the either Down the Open Choke. You did not gwt any into the engine the first spray
That's awesome! First successful gas "will it start" ! Congratulations fellas!! 😎👍 Maybe ya'll should buy that, travel the country........you could call it "Hank and Wily's RV adventures" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Take care and God bless guys!
Those 454 engines are high in demand.
Hank whilly you make my day thank you for a great video can't wait for next one
Did you look for a bank of switches on the side of the stairs going into the RV? many RVs have their coach battery under those stairs. If that's not connected, no go. Most RVs are a 12v system.
Next time when you guys work in the field like this have a tarp of something like that under so when you drop a tool or part slide it out and get it then put the tarp back under the project.
The two 6 volts are in series for 12 volts. Theyare only for the coach. There is one 12 volt for the chassis.
Good luck..finely you made, it..by the way, Did you find the Air Cleaner wing nut..?😊
my travco has 4 house batteries under the stairs, a battery in the generator box and by the drivers wheel is a battery for the engine and a master switch for them all by the stairs for them all, im not lookin foward to when I start doing the work on it to change out alllll the batteries lol
Most RV's have a switch on the dash to start the generator
Ok at the 8:50ish mark when yall are talking about a commercial from the 70s about a talking bullhorn where the guy had a microphone and you could talk through speakers and when on the commerical the guys hey good looking we be right back to tall too you! I so totaly rember that add it was a microohone type to a speaker under your hood i want to say it was from Ronco company. But i fully know excatly what you guys was talki g about!
Those 6v batteries are series together to make 12v and they are only for the inside 12v lights and water pump and anything 12v RV related should be a 12v battery to start motor in there
an immense but not impossible restoration project, the only problem is the chassis because if it's rotten it's all to be thrown away, you save the engine 🤔
48:13 THATS WHAT MATT FROM DIESEL CREEK PUT ON LAST YEAR ALMOST!
Hey, we need part 2 thanks 😊👍
Glad to see wily again you and him again Calvin Dayton ohio.
Again a great watch gentleman that ole girl is ready for a cleaning 👍👋🇨🇦
Thanks 👍
Wow, opening that fridge was a HUGE no-no.. Ive found out the hard way to NEVER EVER EVER open a abandoned fridge indoors.. the smell of food thats been rotting for years/decades in a sealed fridge will immediately make you puke your guts out!
I did exactly that in the break room of a long closed bicycle factory building we were gutting prior to a remodel, the smell that came out of that thing was 100% pure death! (No words can really describe the experience)
Ended up having to call the fire department who only were able to enter in full hazmat gear to seal it back up and drag it out of the building, and even after a week there was still a horrible residual odor in that place.
Fridge got taped up, marked with big BIOHAZARD stickers and got taken away by a specialized department that deals with cleanup of houses of long deceased persons/animals, drug factories and nasty stuff like that.
Remember this please next time you get into situations like this.. never open fridges or coolers that have been closed a long time, if you open a full one you WILL regret that immediately!
In regard to the generator not starting, if the tank is below 1/4, the generator will neither run, nor start.
This video first time came to my UA-cam channel... nice 🎊
•watching from Melaka, Malaysia 🇲🇾✌🏻
A low-mileage big block that would make a good motor for a pickup or a 1-ton dump. Surprised it started usually when gasoline sets that long it goes bad and won't hardly burn. I think that's more like an Oh -no generator
Good luck with the brakes! I'm going to bet this is a P-30 Chassis with power boost brakes. If you figure out how to make them work, please post the video!
I have a 1990 Fleetwood Pace Arrow very similar to that one, mine has a 454 with a turbo 400 transmission and a gear vendors under/overdrive system
Amazing job Hank and Wiley!!! Really enjoyed this video. First gas success!!!
Yes sir… shocker!!! 😁
The air filter is the black round with the green sprayed on it above the start switch.
The 2 6vt batteries are for the rv side and the empty space was for a 12v for the engine!!!😊
Hey Hank hey Riley I love watching Used to are so funny specially Hank go to ease up on our Riley eight but I still think you are a good working team so keep up the good work guys talk to you soon God bless
I had an 1988 Chevy framed, 4 batteries 2 6v house and, 1 12v for engine, may have rear Firestone air bag suspension. 10 gallon propane tank with external valve for external tank. If you need smog test done use small truck with single exhaust test. start generator with inside dash switch. should have Chevy 350 motor should be gas, Switch should be for house power activation. Switch getting in on left entering is for fold out stairs. propane tank be stinky old smell is old propane fridge is in propane mode and tank valve is open. black tank will smell pretty what you smell. first flush black crapper tank the smell will go away. This unit was $ 55,000 new good luck.
something different mates great job. god bless all of you.
Love your new Ford it's pretty cool for an older model
Yeah us CBers had PA (Public Address) systems that hooked the a speaker under the hood to whistle at the pretty 🤩 stuff walking on the street. 😂
New to the channel and loving it! I'm a kinda fixer my self lol, I was laughing with you guys. I was thinking to myself I could make this look good lol. That looked awesome 👍 when cleaned up you guys are a blessing.
Welcome! Thank you for the comment
Funny you mentioned the PA up front. I had one in my 78 Camaro with my CB Radio. :-)
Just needs some cleaning and some renovations. 💗
the vent from your hot water tank vents the heat. the generator runs off pro pane and or the fuel in the motor home. if the owner didn’t drain and winterize the rv it’s done ✅ you can run the generator to supply power if you had a thirty amp generator you could hook up power that way. motor homes go from coast to coast. thousands of miles they usually get some where get parked but for road breaks you’d run your gen these rv’s can be refurbished this what abuse gets you.
Proof that even a blind squirrel can find a nut, lol congratulations, glad we were here to witness this mile stone.
Central California watching.
For real!! Lol
I rebuilt a 1984 Chevy pace arrow. Three year rebuild lol
You guys are in for it lol
Good luck !!!
Lol
That commercial from the 70’s was Mister Microphone 🎤 “Hey good lookin’ be back to pick you up later” 😂
The floor plan is nice, but that’s all!
The generator will not run if there is less than a quarter tank of fuel. It is set up that way so you don't run out of fuel on the highway.
great video you and wily are like a battery one positve and the other negative,i'll leave it to you to decide which one🤔🤔🤔🤔
love watching these guys
Thank you
Sounds like your mic seems a bit muffled, don't know if others noticed.. but figured I'd mention it.
There is a couple of switches above the coach door marked main and aux the 2 6 volt batteries are for the coach 12 v accessories and are wire in series to create 12 v a single 12 v battery runs the motorhome itself and the driving systems
You guys are fun!! Love the channel. Greetings from Southern California. God Bless you both; John 14:6.
Is this for sale? If so how much and where is it?. Good luck.
I think you guys need a small engine mechanic like my self to help you guys.. but you guys did awesome 👍😎
