    Appreciate you not going easy on FSD.

    Nice I would like to see more situations comparing FSD to Autopilot as I am not convinced that cars can drive themselves yet; they are close but not perfect. Nice Vid!

      @@jonessmith2068 After driving FSD for a month, it is amazingly capable. It did pretty much all my driving for the last month and almost no mistakes. It was more iffy driving in parking lots. I would usually do that manually. It had issues with speed limits sometimes. And it wouldn't pull into my driveway and park. I could leave my driveway on FSD, but it wouldn't return to my driveway. Overall, I enjoyed using it. I would use it if it was free, but I'm not going to pay extra for it.

    My 30 day trial just expired too and also experienced how horrible Autopilot was compared to FSD. I think Tesla purposely makes Autopilot that fidgety so you end up paying for FSD like I ended up doing 😂

      @@rmf1378 Yeah, it's much worse, I've had some craziness on the highway too, I tried to catch one of its flip outs on video. Maybe I'll make a short with it or something. It kept thinking it saw a person in the highway and would slam on its brakes over and over. Turns out it was a truck up in the distance a few miles ahead of me, mixed with a mirage effect on the highway the car thought it was a person And basically gave me repeated whiplash. 🤣 😡

    Here in Europe we only have Enhanched Autopilot and agree it's hard to activate on smaller streets and it's very jerky. I wonder how old the stack is. Ideal it should be as good as FSD but have limitations as traffic lights, stop signs, roundabouts, etc as now. But the driving should be the same for straight and curvy roads.

  • @inc0de
    @inc0de 3 місяці тому +1

    FSD should be included with the purchase. If it's truly safer than the average driver, why wouldn't you want that standard? At the very least, they should consider subscription payments towards the full purchase. So if you paid $99/month off-and-on over the course of several years, they should reduce the full purchase of FSD by the amount you've already paid.

      @@inc0de You're correct, it is weird that they leave the inferior system for the masses to use. The way I think it should be is the old autopilot software should be deleted, and it should run FSD software only, but if you don't pay for it, You just won't get any of the extras, it won't take exits or make turns, and no summon.

    Weird. FSD and auto pilot don’t rely on any lines on the road when I start either one of them… It’s not like the old LKS systems. But I guess it’s different for you.

      @@Crazypostman I have FSD and I’ve had it for the past two years. Auto pilot is on a very old system compared to FSD. But it still was able to drive, and none of the systems I have ever seen on Tesla’s needed to worry about road markings but then again I don’t think I’ve ever been on roads without markings and I’m usually using FSD because it is so much better. What's the point? The time they invest in trying to make self-driving cars could have been invested into improving many other aspects of the car.
    I would NEVER trust a car to drive me around. EVER. It is a computer driving after all - at any second a bug can happen, precipated by ANYTHING (ionisation of the atmosphere, electromagentic turbulance, an insect farting in the nearby forest) and then the computer will go crazy.
    I mean, are people getting SO LAZY that now they do not even want to invest that little energy of steering and paying attention to the road but want to - what - turn the car into a couch and themselves into a potato?

    • @smily5555
      @smily5555 3 місяці тому +1

      This will lead to a reduction in traffic jams, fewer cars on the road, and fewer accidents, because, let's be honest, the statistics don't favor people... There’s no essential difference between active driving and sitting on the couch. A couch potato will always be a couch potato. How many kilometers have you walked/ran this week? That’s what matters, regardless of whether the car drives itself or you drive it.

      @@smily5555 I can hardly walk because of a lumbar spine disc perforation, but even so, I am daily active and work around the house, climb the hill here (my house is on a hill) etc. When I drive, I pay 100% attention to driving. I don't use a mobile phone (I hate those things) or do anything else to distract myself.

      @@sHuRuLuNi It wasn’t meant as a personal attack, but rather a general statement. Everyone deals with their problems in their own way. Unfortunately, most accidents on the road happen due to human error, and in my opinion, computers will make significantly fewer mistakes. I wish you a speedy recovery.

      Pretty obvious and clear to normal humans with working brains. There are accidents non-stop, every second of every day. A working self driving car will not have accidents, without even going into all the other obvious benefits, that's big enough to make every single word you just said completely pointless.

    Great video, thanks! Crap and dangerous Tesla autonomous in any version, compared to BMW. I've just bought a Model 3 and it is always hesitant and almost hitting the right sidewalks in curves, almost killed me three times when merging on faster lanes, not adapting speed to ramps - extremely dangerous, not reading correctly speed limits, always drives either much faster or slower. Very brisk and unjustified accelerations at every stop despite changed to chill, looks like in FSD it is not following that limitation. Soo soo many more dangerous situations. I understand this is the path to autonomous, but the implementation I have on my i7 is way and extremely safer, am using it all the time. FSD seems useless in my experience Ottawa / Montreal driving.

      @@aalalex8365 I wouldn't say FSD is crap. It's very good 90% of the time. But it can still go bad and you certainly have to keep paying attention closely to it right now. I would love to experience BMW and Mercedes Autopilot equivalent.

      @@Crazypostman while I am impressed with the evolution FSD has had since I sold my 2022 M3LR, it is extremely dangerous at times, and it is not making for a more relaxing driving. BMW's Driving Assistance Professional in the current X5, 7 series is reliable and predictable, and particularly it is not disengaging at slight speed or steering wheel adjustments. My biggest dissatisfaction with FSD is that it is not adapting to the speed limit.
