- 5G sounds promising. This new, super-fast internet connection will let us download an HD movie in seconds. Doctors will be able to perform remote surgery with virtually no lag time. And it’ll make self-driving cars smarter and safer.
But there are also suspicions that 5G will expose us to more security breaches, privacy issues and even health problems.
So what exactly is 5G? And how much of the excitement or fear is just hype?

It is commonly known that shorter wavelengths can't penetrate as far as longer waves. For example, you can protect yourself from UV radiation by wearing clothes, but radio waves can penetrate walls.
I am always grateful and thankful when my internet speed reach 20 😂😂😂😂 for me to be honest between 10 to 30 Mb/s is enough for me.

Lag time is related to the connection type, 5g provides higher download/upload speeds due to higher bandwidth, but latency will still be there, simply because of the physics of light.
With 5G I have this feeling of wanting to stay more time at home!

What's your idea based on? The longer the wave length, the deeper it penetrates. That's probably why it can be easily blocked too. I haven't mastered this topic yet but once I do, I won't use "probably" here.

Even with 4G you can perform surgery remotely. Furthermore, why would you use radio transmissive internet for such purpose? Use fiber optic for remote surgery, I assure It will be way more than enough.
They're talking about new apps like self driving cars on the road; that needs higher data rates or you go off road before the car can respond.
