Love your classes so much! I’m too heavy and carry a ton of stress and tension in my shoulders and back. But I have a question about how you sit on your legs at the beginning of the video. If I’m unable to sit on my legs because of my heavy weight, what do you think is a good modifier position?
Great question!! A beautiful option would be to take the knees, shins and feet hip width distance or more (whatever feels best for you) and place some yoga blocks under your hips. As many blocks as you need till you feel comfortable. This should elevate the hips to give more space for thighs or take any strain off the knees. If you don’t have blocks you can use books (just make sure they are secured with tape or tightly tight together to avoid them slipping) you can also use pillows or folded blanket. I just the pillow and blanket options more plushy rather than firm so choose which feels best for you.
You can also use this option in poses like childs pose. If you do it in childs pose you can also place pillows under the torso and instead of blocks or books under your hips you can use pillows or even a folded blanket.
As for alternative poses. In this case with the shoulder rolls segment you can sit really in any seated position that feels best for you. Cross legged, seated cross legged with blocks under knees, seated on a block to elevate hips, seated with legs straight (can put a bend in the knees) you could even have a chair near by for any seated poses. No rules! Just creativity in finding what feels best for us🙌 I need to make a video on seated poses. Its one of the most asked questions.

i think im begining to gain the hunchback posture due to staying up too late at night this quarantine. did this today and found it pretty relaxing. how long do i have to do fix my posture? also any suggestions on how to prevent it?

I'm having cramps while doing this.. What should i do?
i can't say unfortunately, i simply don't know. if you've eaten before that might be why, gas can also play a factor or the class just doesn't sit well with you. it could also just be your body today. everyday our body is changing and feels different so just honor that. maybe come back to it in a few weeks and see if it causes cramps again, if so perhaps avoid the poses that do cause pain or cramping.
