As sad as it is, Luke's aunt and uncle blowing themselves up with the stormtroopers just happening to be there by complete coincidence will always be the true canon to me. It's sort of humanizing to see that the galaxy wouldn't just be some kind of utopia just because the Empire isn't there. And love or hate the Empire, you just *know* that they'd get blamed for damn near everything that goes wrong, whether they actually had anything to do with it at all or not, so Luke seeing the explosion and just automatically assuming they did it just makes sense. Really well done.
It’s like in the movie “Blast from the Past”. When a whole family went into underground bomb shelter and lived for next 17~18yrs. The wife (mother) was almost going insane. Can you imagine uncle Owen and aunt Beru having to live in secrecy for.. how old is Luke? Yeah, totally plausible something upstairs was going coo-coo.
Are you kidding? This destroys all previous Star Wars cannon in the first 3 minutes when Stormtroopers fire their weapons and hit what they are aiming at.

I remember watching this in like 2002 in my Japanese class. I laughed my ass off and the other students ether chuckled or didn’t get it. For the record, that was about 2 years before UA-cam was online
Were you in Japan? Local public school? To understand the humor in this video, people need to know the cultural background of the typical American domestic (as in a household) disputes, how American police do their policing work, etc etc. In Japan: - Nobody would call the cops for domestic issues. - When there are outsiders present, the wife would appear submissive and follows what the husband says. (When there is no outsider around, the woman rules the home, including how much spending money the husband gets, because the rest need to pay rent/mortgage, the bills, kids school supplies, etc etc.) - If the police EVER shows up for any domestic disturbance (rare), their #1 priority is to restore harmony. Arresting someone doesn’t even cross their mind. - Actually SHOOTING somebody? Police would show up with their convoy to a local yakuza boss, to “invite” the yakuza boss to stop by the station. The yakuza was clearly informed ahead of time so it wouldn’t be a surprise. There were probably 50 of yakuza’s guys, all wearing full suit, standing & lined the street on both sides leading up to the boss’s home. (On side of a mountain, awesome view) The police that showed up all wearing Kevlar vests. The whole thing was very cordial. Went without incident. Sidearms were in holsters. Sub machine guns were held in low-ready, never pointing. So yeah, Japanese students who didn’t live in America, wouldn’t have understood the jokes in this video. 😅
@@reallifeengineer7214 I was studying Japanese (mostly the language but also the country and culture) in the USA at the time. The fact that the stolen druid was Tom Servo just makes it for me.

They probably stripped Crow down for parts already
Imagine 1997 when this came out. There was no UA-cam, Facebook and Twitter. Star Wars fan skits already were a thing before social media came by. What we only had before were fan websites and video upload services were these videos were put in. The biggest things then were yahoo, Netscape, lycos, AOL, compuserve.
Not to mention the CGI work on the ships and speeders, That wasn’t something you could crank out on your average home computer.
I downloaded this sucker on 56k AOL. I don't recall how long it took. Anywhere from a few hours to all day 😄
And we all managed to see it without fear of our personal info being tracked. We also shared it with real-life friends - not a bunch of "thumbs-up" icons - and got to laugh with and near them as we watched together.
If I remember correctly, there was a dvd version of this released in stores briefly.
I'm old enough to remember when this came out and it was a revelation, seriously nothing had even been done like this before.
It me took 2 days to download and I remember burning it to a CD so I could give it my mates to see.
This is basically the outlier for the new Mandalorian show.

Patrolling the Dune Sea almost makes you wish for a Rebel Assault.
fitting for both the stormtroopers and the NCR
@ReM50 - New California Republic? The NCR was getting their asses handed to them by Caesar's Legion until you help. Trey Lepper but without them we wouldn’t have Prequel memes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
You know this “Star Wars” thing seems pretty cool. They should make some movies based on this.

When a whole family went into underground bomb shelter and lived for next 17~18yrs. The wife (mother) was almost going insane.

Yeah, totally plausible something upstairs was going coo-coo.

I love it. Don't know what COPS is, but I love how this nicely integrates into ep IV plot, the humour, how this goes in line with movie details on stormtroopers' behavior. Done with care and passion to Star Wars, also.
It was a long running documentary with Cops in the US. Started in Broward County in Florida in 1989. The intro is very similar with Bad Boys etc. This is a very good parody of it.
Was a tv show where you follow a bunch of Cops around and see them doing their job. Basically this without the Star Wars and also it's not fiction.

In Japan:
- Nobody would call the cops for domestic issues.
- When there are outsiders present, the wife would appear submissive and follows what the husband says. (When there is no outsider around, the woman rules the home, including how much spending money the husband gets, because the rest need to pay rent/mortgage, the bills, kids school supplies, etc etc.)
- If the police EVER shows up for any domestic disturbance (rare), their #1 priority is to restore harmony.
I should add that us in the class finding this video was completely on our free time and had nothing to do with the class itself or what our sensei had planned for us to do that day.
