Voice acting has always been one of my favorite forms of art and this series really goes to show how, when done well, it can bring such expressive attributes to any faceless actor. Awesome casting and brilliant execution. 10/10, gang. Bravo.
The Star Wars Christmas Special we always needed but never knew we wanted. Truly a piece of art, love every second of it, thank you all for creating this. Absolutely outstanding craftsmanship and talent from everyone involved. Best content of the year, 11/10, would name my first born FNG
My wife brought home a cat that was about to be dropped off at the pound. We couldn't think of a name. Minutes after arriving at our house ... he sprayed my brand new monitor & ruined all the buttons on the front. (They never worked again.) I wound up naming him FNG because of that. I had to sorta lie to my daughter about what his name meant though; I told her that he was a "friendly new guy."
Man this is brilliant from start to finish. It’s like if John Mulaney was a stormtrooper. “You ever wonder why we’re here?” What a nod to the classics. I swear that “smooth jazz” is from one of the games. I don’t remember is it’s the Azameen hangout in X-Wing Alliance or something else but I know it’s from something.
I love the humor in this. I love the unlikely friendship these two storm troopers form. Love the plot of an annoying young new recruit and an older veteran soldier having to deal with his annoying outbursts.
How in the world am I laughing so much at 3:55? There is literally no expression on the stormtrooper's face/helmet, but I can see every single ounce of his exasperation. HOW?!?
What we call "technicians" in cinema actually are artists creating through machines and programs. When skilled and talented, they reach deep down into our emotions... think about Wall-e or C3PO, there you have two brilliant exemples. And those troopers just add another one.
Absolutely brilliant! So freaking funny. I loved every detail. Especially the troopers designations. I mean, TK-FNG (F-ing New Guy) was a clever one but TK-FKU? That's just plain perfect and so hilarious! My favorite bit though was when FNG said "he's waving around a glow-stick! Is he high?" Freaking killed me! Well done guys. Well done.
This is so masterfully done man! I'm an old school RvB fan from back in the day, and this hit all my nostalgia nerves. Proof that the concept was solid and will always work. Such a fun sandbox of universe lore to play with too!
Plus the Red palpetine guards stuck outside the room while Darth/Luke/Emperor on death star have face to face chat? Stormtroopers hauling frozen solo to bobo fetts ship? Death star "workers" watching the millennium falcon first arrive stuck outside in a vacumn of space? Stormtroopers looking for leia and while she uploads plans to R2. Stormtroopers walking away after someone gets a bit hot headed with a lightsaber when a certain jedi escapes the torture chamber... Stormtroopers walking in desert looking for robots (see space balls).
THIS IS FABULOUS!!!!!! For once YT proposed me a real masterpiece!! Never laughed so hard, and everything melts with SW storyline just perfectly!! Great job people, and thank you!!!
This is THE BEST SW content produced in decades! I stumbled across this and so glad I did. Well done and super funny! Funny that the fans produce much better content with a fraction of the budget Disney dedicates to their projects and can't seem to get it right. Awesome work!!
Normie with the crazy hyperbole alert. Likely sheltered and never seen anything funny before this, or intellectually challenged. It's good, but only a lame normie would take a spoof as far as you did. Decades means Likely Return of the Jedi an Empire Strikes Back. Slow your roll, normie hack.
Even though I’ve seen (most of) this before, it’s still laugh out loud funny. Really great creativity and writing. There’s clearly room for more humor in the Star Wars universe!
In the names of the Mortis Gods, how am I only becoming aware of this over a year after it came out?!? This is absolutely incredible. It has such a Red v. Blue vibe to it, that I can't help but doubly fall for the nostalgia!
Just wanted to let the writers know how much you are appreciated!!! Brilliant story telling!! Hope you get your recognition monetized on the big screen some day!
That is too funny, I thought the same thing with John Mulaney except I had it mixed with Will Forte. But even more the veteran guard is a dead ringer for Albert Brooks.
I love this series. It is so well done, and the trooper’s interaction are hilarious, and, I would like to believe, spot on, for both sides. It’s awesome how both veterans have taken a rookie under their wings, and they are both just trying to survive this conflict. Also, I love the references to the “skinny blonde guy with a glow stick” - just brilliant. I hope there will be a season 2.

To be more specific smart Sarge and caboose vibe😂

I love the veteran Stormtrooper's voice! 😁
Thanks. 40 years of whiskey and cigs.
Is it me or does the talkative stormtrooper sound a bit like Paul Rudd?
@@DALLASBARNETT Reminds me of Sarge from RvB (a compliment!)
@@charliebirkner8729 honestly, FKU's voice is not really a stretch for me. It's pretty much my ''walkin' round'' voice .

Good thing there was a season compilation, else I never would have known I had missed out on a few of the episodes.
Same here!
I was hoping I had. Still funny second time around.
Same this was my first time watching it all
Love the red vs blue references, this show really makes me miss the good old days of rvb
You ever wonder why we’re here?
"I'm pretty sure I can take him" made me laugh out loud lmao
TK-FNG and newly promoted Commander TK-FKU need to make an appearance in a show a movie or video game like just a small cameo something small they deserve it as star wars fans to they contributions to the brand they earned the right to be apart of canon and for some reason i think Dave has probably watched all of these millions of times and love they humor im pretty sure these guys at least got invited to a production set or convention or something
Can confirm the SWHQ BigHeads have indeed seen and enjoyed the series, although they cant comment publicly for obvious reasons. The 4 of our main cast would be thrilled (All professional filmmakers, All huge SW fans) to be included in any SW official content
@@DALLASBARNETTshould just do a Disney show called Troopers it would be bigger then mandalorian make it a comedy show but with a serious storyline and make the troopers comedy but more realistic dont let em just die easy and etc

Sargent always loyal to his men.
It’s hilarious that you don’t even see their faces yet their helmets, body language, and voices convey more emotion and character building than the sequel trilogy and the Rings of Power combined.

Thanks Matthew, theres a new one up right now for channel members, or a public premiere next week :)
TK-FKU got me, had to pause for a while, laughing was too intense ^^
Great parody, definitely better than the official stuff we get lately.
Thank you for this
It was the "How many of them actually hit something?" for me.
It happened to me in the first skit. "Do you know what we're guarding here?" "Nope".
A few minutes later, toilet flush.

"did you ever wonder why we are here?" What a classic
Totally Red vs Blue.
@@darkshadow31415 That was my first thought. Not that it is unwelcome here, mind you. Shout outs can be great things for fanbases.
I mean, we're in the middle of a ice canyon in the middle of nowhere. No way in or out.
Yup.
The only reason we have an imperial base over here, is because they have a rebel base over there. Even if we we were to pull out today, they'd just have a tiny base in an ice canyon. Whoopty fucking doo.
Instantly got Red vs. Blue vibes from this. Even before I clicked on it.
Best show ever... of all time
I loved the "[You're out here in the cold] because major told you to stop asking Winter weather puns" "You laughed." "I know, that's why I'M out here." and the old style modem noises to connect to a music stream. I wonder how many of the young folks got that one. Great stuff! Keep 'em coming!
I got it... Oh Sh.t. That means I'm not young anymore, right ? XD
Forget the death star, this is the MVP of imperial tech..... CLASSIC
Classic? Not even close. This is obnoxious garbage.
Every soldier is just like this. Holy crap, this is amazing. Please keep up the GREAT work. Love it. FKU is like every non-com I have ever met. Every non-com I have ever met has at one time or another wanted to shoot a private. Keep up the great work.
😂😂😂😂
One of the best things I’ve ever seen, not only on UA-cam, but across any service or any platform. Truly a masterpiece.
And on that day, a humble youtube channel named AFK nailed it absolutely better than Disney, for a small portion of their budget. It's awesome and infuriating at the same time...
This is absolutely BRILLIANT!!! As a longtime Star Wars family (hubby and I first watched them together when first dating, later shared the franchise with our four sons), I would watch this in a theater. Have you sent copies to George Lucas? He loves stuff like this!
Don’t! Don’t let this kind of stuff into Lucas’ hands. Next thing you know Kathleen Kennedy will get it and you’ll regret it. Look what she’s done to Willow, Indiana, and Star Wars. No thank you!
These animations are literally too good 😂 The characters and dialogues are superb.
I agree. A little more refinement and this will be at Pixar level animation.
@@WilliamAGould
It's literally made with the same "game engine" used to animate the beginning of many video games (Unreal Engine)... Just a user "mod", but combined with a great sense of humor and some $ support from fans, who knows how far they can go!
Yah I forgot it said it was in unreal engine a couple time while watching, im like "where did they get the budget to do such an intricate parody?"
Whoever did the voice acting of the young stormtrooper I hope he makes a million dollars. Love it!
"I have a thing for leather belts and vest with lots of pockets" had me dead
In fairness, it is quite the look
The Rebel Hoth AOL Dial-up scene was the most accurate representation of the Rebel financial state towards the middle of the Imperial war.
Fucking. Dead 😂😩👌🏾
The Rebels do have better droids, imo. Standard Imperial droids are too rigid in their "thinking", unable to act independently or adapt to things outside their limited specialties.
And let's admit it: an astromech droid equipped with a dial-up analog modem would be epic.
@@pwnmeisterage Based on their crappy holographic messages, I'm pretty sure it's not far off.

A stormtrooper comedy series is such a good idea. Take notes, Disney.
But how would they smash the patriarchy and vanquish white supremacy?

Star Wars Christmas Special does exist.... just don't watch it. For the sake of all our sanity
Jesus this is so randomly ultra high quality. I laughed so hard I teared up when they started doing the imperial theme song.
13:20 in and I finally get the RvB reference I was hoping for! Well done!
I love the growth in this series. How the tight lipped 20 year trooper becomes more friendly and talkative towards the green horn.

The expressionless stare is more emotive than most Hollywood actors
Proof that you don’t need to remove the helmet to show emotions *ahem* halo show.
This is the RvB Star-Wars crossover I've always wanted! Doughnut personified...
they kind of remind me of Dexter Griff and Sarge of RvB.
This was badass man! This is exactly how the rebels and stormtroopers act. Super fun to watch and very entertaining!
That guy is a master of his craft.
I would love to see something with the clones, or the droids
But then we won’t get this awesome voice acting 😂😂
A droid show would be nice, but this doing justice to regular troopers is already good enough.

They have no humor in them, I think, the Cartoon series tried to humanize them a bit but their design id =s just unpersonal.

Well done.
The jump cuts talking to his GF on the phone had me rolling on the floor. Great work on the dialogue on top of the UE5 cinematics!!
Seriously good stuff. I hope this series never dies. Keep up the amazing work.

I would love to see the conversation the stormtroopers had after listening to Luke and Darth Vader after he turned himself in on Endor.

THIS IS FABULOUS!!!!!! For once YT proposed me a real masterpiece!! Never laughed so hard, and everything melts with SW storyline just perfectly!! Great job people, and thank you!!!
Absolutely genius. Sadly I have to wonder when Disney will highjack this content as well like they did with so many other fan fiction works
I was getting Red vs Blue vibes and then "Do you ever wonder why we're here?" lmfao! This is brilliant.
I knew the AT-AT part however never knew of the the other acts. Impressive really. I hope they don't run out of content.
I love this series so much. thank you for your time and effort in making it!
My pleasure!
Somebody is a huge Red vs Blue fan. Thanks for this! Made me nostalgic AF.
Halo the Tv Series
Even though I’ve seen (most of) this before, it’s still laugh out loud funny. Really great creativity and writing. There’s clearly room for more humor in the Star Wars universe!
In the names of the Mortis Gods, how am I only becoming aware of this over a year after it came out?!? This is absolutely incredible. It has such a Red v. Blue vibe to it, that I can't help but doubly fall for the nostalgia!
Just wanted to let the writers know how much you are appreciated!!! Brilliant story telling!! Hope you get your recognition monetized on the big screen some day!
The clueless voice sounds like a mix of David Cross and John Mulaney to me. Great stuff. 20-year Navy retiree. The chatter is spot-on. 🤙🏻
And don't forget about the little green guy! Or wait, better forget I said that.
I'm trying to envision Endor scenes for season 2.
