I have zero complaints w my 21' 636 have ab 4800 miles and just put a new rear tire, rode a far distance fast everyday for work. other then maintaining/checking the chain and fluid levels its been just me riding it!! Heavily suggest this bike to someone who doesn't think they need a 1k just yet.
Currently saving for a 636, I’m on a 400 now and I can confirm the confidence difference is a real thing. 400s are great to start but for “spirited rides” or being a street Rossi it doesn’t do the same as the 636
The 636 will be an amazing upgrade for you!!! I definitely agree that the 400 is an awesome beginner bike and since you learned the proper techniques on that you should be able to take advantage of the power of the 636 right off the bat vs someone who started on the 636 and has to learn everything still
Thanks for the review. I saw a 636 in green at the dealership yesterday. I sat on it and it felt good and it looks good. 600's are fun to rip on in corners and slipping through traffic. Your review has been very helpful with the comparisons to the other 600's and your opinions as an owner. I subscribed to your channel and look forward to your adventures on your new bike. Enjoy it and stay safe.
As a child, I learned to ride on cousins' Yamaha Warriors, but from teens onward I've always owned and ridden Honda on dirt and Kawi on street. First bike was '03 CRF150F, barely a year later bought a bored out '03 CRF450R. Quite the jump, but it broadened my skillset rapidly. For street, I started with the '07 ZZR600 (sport tour remanufacture and rebadge of the '00-'02 ZX6R). Also had a '05 Concourse. I currently own the '21 ZX6R in teal, and it's a blast. Depending on who you are, it could be a good first street bike. If you come from hardcore trail or MX riding, it'll be no sweat; a totally new rider may have to take things slow and be disciplined, and luckily there are software nanny aids to help with that.
The Kawai 600/700 have been my dream hikes for years. I always thought I'd kill myself do never got into motorcycles till a few years ago. It was love at first sight when the new 636 was shown. I drove an hour and a half away as they were the only dealers who had the 2020 Gold/Silver KRT livery in stock. From the first ride to now I get a huge grin on my face.
Just bought a 2022 zx6r krt and I love it, my first bike was a z650 and it made me hate kawasaki, but now that I have a proper bike, kawasaki has my heart again. I eventually want to get a 2022 zx10r krt too. Thing is a beauty.
Hell yeah dude… honestly same, I wasn’t a Kawasaki fan boy at all but the ZX6R has my heart… I love the ZX10R but I’m honestly still thinking R1 when I’m ready for a liter bike
I just bought a 2023 Ninja ZX6R 636. Same color and everything. I agree with you. I freaking love it. I just broke it in. As a matter fact it’s At the dealership getting it’s break-in service. Can’t wait to get it back and really test it out.
Going from a 400 to this, I DID keep it in low power mode at first, just until I got use to it. I got the krt color but I think I would've preferred the red and black, not that I don't absolutely love my bike. Thanks for the video, my friend.
This color scheme seems to be a throwback to the 1989 ninja600r. Iconic bike in my opinion. I got the blue one and it’s kind of dull and generic looking.
It is aggressive ergonomics way more than the 400. My girlfriend has a 2022 400 and I ride it more than my 636 because it’s so easy. The 636 is second to none in my opinion and ergo is a little more relaxed than the r6. The 636 extra low end is great for city or town riding and really pulls hard on the highway. You can’t go wrong with a 636 for your first super sport. The cbr600rr is amazing as well. If you want real aggressive ergo and like to keep it red lined then the r6 is your jam.
"I don't think you'll ever out grow a 636" 👏👏👏 well said. I love mine! 2021 in white. I may get another bike at some point but I want to keep this one. ❤️
I envy the fuel mileage. I ride a mt10 with an exhaust/flash and get 25mpg most of the time, maybe 30 if I'm not pinning it. Have a '21 3rd gen mt09 I bought new last year, it gets considerably better mpg. That's the price of admission for the big cp4. This is THE 600 to have, especially since yamaha discontinued the fantastic R6, the only realistic competition for this bike. An exhaust and a competent flash and you're in the money. I've found there are some pretty hack tuners out there that I wouldn't let touch my bike/ecu. Chris Moore or 2wheeldynoworks are competent tuners to name a couple. I use Vcyclenut because he is the yamaha mt guru. NICE BIKE!
great review, waiting on my 23 KRT right now... Nice to see someone showing how smooth the quickshifter is. Im coming from a yzf600r, but fell in love with the zx6r after riding my friends last season. His was a 599 not the 636 so I cant wait to see the difference!
The 636 pulls the best of that group due to the extra cc's, and because Kawi started shipping it with a -1 front sprocket a couple years ago. Basically comes with a quick acceleration kit from the factory, at the expense of top end speed... Most of them top out in the low to mid 150's top speed, but they pull really nice...
I can definitely feel the acceleration!! I’ve gotten my 636 up to 164 but that’s what the speedo said which I’m sure is not 100% accurate, I haven’t done gps speed testing yet

Not that a 600 has enough muscle to really go higher than 160 anyway, but the Kawi is now gearing limited to 161mph, and that is ONLY if you can get it to bounce off the rev limiter at 15,500rpm in 6th, which it won't do in stock form because the ECU closes the secondary butterflies at 14,500rpm... Realistically, its a 155mph bike, tops. And it doesn't get there 10 seconds before an R6, which makes less down low but absolutely rips on top...
@@sleeper.simulant7327 The reason the Kawi pulls faster to 160 is because of that -1 front sprocket. Kawi geared the bike to where the aero limitations are... my brother started on a 1000cc bike, I personally am an adrenaline junky, I push my car to the limiter constantly even during the day but especially at night. My top speed ever was 182MPH. So I've been looking into this bike for awhile now because I know for a fact I would just crash almost instantly trying to achieve a top speed similar to that of my car or above what I am currently able to reach. I don't have any bike experience though but I do some basic manual skills so I'm definitely going to cop this soon.
@Jay I've been thinking about picking up the two brothers as well... Looks good and seems like it has more of a bassey sound compared to other slipons which sound tinny..
The engine braking is way to much for everyday riding. It will give you some real good throttle control , as it’s either control the throttle perfectly, or else you’ll need to be riding at corners like it’s trackday… I just learned to wind it down slow as you roll off throttle.
Just subscribed and Great review man I currently have a liter bike. Used to have a 750 and I’m looking to go back to the 600 class i miss banging through a few gears before im at “go strait to jail speeds”. I had more fun on the 600 and 750 gsxr but I want abs now and Suzuki won’t work, so the kawi looks perfect for the job.
I really appreciate the support dude🥹 and I definitely feel you there… I want a liter bike one day but I won’t be getting rid of my 636 to get it… there is just something special about the 600 class
hey i put a deposit down to secure a 2022 ZX6R in Black with some dull Blue on bottom! NO BIKES in 31 years and got a new 2020 Z900 first and a 2022 later KLX 300 new dual sport, i wasnt ready for first street bike clip on bar style, Z900 is dirt bike feel. BUT i added too the herd and gonna go full nuts on it, im keeping my 900 mostly stock for now. lol im glad seeing others opinions on this bike! HELLO from Arkansas!

You guys are lucky to have the 636 in sale. In EU no longer available. Enjoy it ! You got the point. Suzuki is not bad at all, but kawasaki is more refined, and more fun, if you ask me.
I have the same bike... THIS IS my BRAND OF BIKE... I LOVE IT FROM THE FIRST DAY... I HAVE 2000 MILES IN A MONTH IN 1/2... THE FULL MODE WILL SCARE THE SHIT OUT OF YOU... When you shitting u better USE THE QUICK SHITTER... THIS BIKE IS VERY POWERFULL... I AM LOVING IT 💪😎
Hey L.Rey, quick question, do you notice that your idle speed can fluctuate up and down slightly? As in it doesn't stay consistent even when warm? Great vid thanks.
Nice review. I'm thinking about getting this Bike. I already have the 650. It's nice now time to move up. I will be with this bike for awhile it seems from your review so thanks
Nice vid bud! I have same bike! I love it as well! ZX6R the best 😄😎🤙🏻💚 I’m planing on replacing the stock exhaust, I just need the mid pipe.. Just worry about that check engine light coming on after that, I heard even with the servo on it, the check engine light comes out. Not sure about that. Ride safe!
Wow noticed you were at a Buc-cees. Those are only in Texas. Then noticed you pulled into the Alliance center at the Ft Worth airport. As a truck driver, I've gone in there many times to pick up a Fed Ex load at the airport. That's amazing, I know exactly where you are.
Got a 2022 650 and tbh I’m ready for the 636 I rode my buddies and wow the power is there. Car guy btw should’ve gotten an in-line 4 though cause I like to go fast lol
I see where your coming from and that would definitely make for an awesome daily bike!! However Kawasaki made the 636 to be a super sport and with that comes the aggressive body position… personally I would love to see the 636 motor as it is on a naked sport bike!!
@@chrissorreda4982 it is - It’s just forgotten a lot, and seems to be REALLY pushing in terms of top end power for a beginner, especially with no power modes
Easy cosmetic changes can be made overall the bike is exceptional. The stock exhaust is hideous but look how many owners put a slip on almost right away.
You can’t go wrong with either mate …1000sx is definitely more versatile and has enough fun factor for the average joe ..in fact more than enough…hope it helps🎉
I had a yamaha 1000 and I just got rid of it. I loved it but I really don't need the speed I'm into the whole stunt seen and the 636 is my unicorn I want one so bad that is what I'm gonna get next that is my goal. I love the videos on these. And my 1000 was a naked with the pc5 I loved it but I know I would have more fun and enjoy it more it really isn't about speed for me I love to have fun and I love love love the wheelie game😍😍😍zx6r
Looking to possibly buy a 2019 this weekend. There's no much for sale here now since it's prime riding season. I'm very picky still, and this bike is the most confident I feel looking at my limited options.
ive got the same bike 2020 636 and i resproket it for highway comute, its insane how power never goes away, ive got the yoshi full exhaust, its louder but not bad,😜🤳
Not that aggressive bro, it’s so crazy cause I sat on on multiple other 600s while I was riding my 400 and dude the Zx6r literally feels like home (by home I mean if your riding a 400) I was so surprised at how much it felt like my 400 in terms of sitting on the bike, however it is obviously more aggressive but not by much. It actually feels more comfortable than the 400 🤔
@@Butters_Stotch_187 that’s very interesting bro thanks for sharing your experience. I should go and sit on a ZX6R and take it out for a test ride. I just don’t want something super aggressive. I want a sporty-looking bike like the 400 but with the intoxicating sound of an inline 4. Funny thing is the 400 and the new ZX6R look so similar too
Thanks for the love 🤘🏽❤️… For a super sport yes it is comfortable, now if you are comparing it to a naked like the FZ07 then obviously it’s no where near as comfortable as that… as for over heating she does tend to run hot but as long as you keep moving she will stay below 200 degrees, you do feel the heat a bit in your ankles as well
I'm going to buy either this bike or suzuki gsxr 1000 2013.....what do you suggest for a safe, comfortable bike and good for long rides and daily use?....I also hate going too fast😅
@@musiccommunity8783 personally I think the 600 class suits street riding better… don’t get me wrong I want a 1000 in the future but I wouldn’t get rid of my 636 to have the 1000… if you just plan on commuting and not trying to hit crazy tops speeds a 600 class is definitely the way to go… hope that help🤘🏽🫶🏽
I never understood the F full power mode and L low power mode. Because, wouldn't or shouldn't you be riding in full power when you turn on your bike and only have a botton to decrease your power mode.
Learning to use the clutch is very important for any rider to know even if your bike has quick shift. Even with a quick shifter on your be you can still use the clutch and many people tend to use the clutch when shifting from first to second since it can be a bit clunky depending on the bike. Hope this helps!
It’s definitely not gonna come close to the low end power of your Z900 but it’s still definitely usable… wheelies and getting around traffic won’t be an issue but where this thing shines is about 9k and up… the power up top compared to a naked is absolutely thrilling!!
Currently on ER-6F 2010/Ninja 650, using for daily work commute of around 100 miles to and fro, do you think this bike is usable for daily commute? I don't mind the ergo etc, just the power band & engine usability. Cheers!
Definitely useable, just going expect the same fuel mileage as the 650, and you'll need to use the more expensive fuel. The 636 still gets good mileage and is fairly comfortable.
Nah dude no problems at all… in my personal opinion starting on a bike with no abs is better because you will have to learn proper braking techniques that abs does for you making you a better rider in the long run… as long as you don’t suddenly squeeze the brake to full pressure you’ll be fine… hope that helped🤘🏽🫶🏽
@@L.Rey619 one more question. How did dealership fix their wrong information about ABS? The dealership at my area keeps telling me that this color bike got ABS
@@HungNguyen-zw7bt technically they never did, I found out thru my own research… with that said I checked Kawasaki’s website and they didn’t over charge me for the model I got… the msrp I payed was correct
This model does not have abs. Only the KRT models have them. They may have the wheel speed sensors but they are for traction control which a lot of dealers get fooled and think they have abs
@@miket3taylor should rephrase, the sales ppl get fooled. When I was looking for the abs version, they kept telling me they had it in stock but it was the black & red and teal. I told them those didn’t have abs but they swore they did. I ran across 3 different dealerships who said the same thing, before finding one that knew the difference
You're fairly big at 290, I'd try one out and see if you like it. I imagine you will have to get used to holding yourself up by gripping your knees so your wrists don't get toasted.
@@jayb7416 Starting on an r1 is daunting, but not impossible. I started on a 636 and feel like it was a perfect mix of speed and also control using low power mode for a month or two. You know yourself best.
I got it for msrp price… $10,799. Out the door I payed more then that since I got gap insurance (highly recommended everyone does) and I also opted into some dealer service packages since I ride so much to save on service in the long run… out the door I sat at around $14,000
Sorry for the confusion, I didn’t get abs, I tried to clear that up in the comments that the dealership gave me the wrong info on the bike, but even without abs I love this thing!!
@@L.Rey619 yeah me 2 i have the same one it really sucks that only the krt got abs tho this is a superior color i was also going to get the 2022 zx10r instead of this one but i couldn't find this color anywhere close to where i live so i got this instead im still happy tho the 600 looks better than the zx10r anyway ill just use this as my stunt bike and get the zx10r next year
Damn my dude, I’m sorry to hear that… I can’t imagine how bad it sucks but I am a firm believer in “everything happens for a reason”… maybe this will lead to another blessing… keep your head up!!
@@nickcolando9974 Not in the low rpm range. I'm not saying any one is better than the other because there are multiple factors that people weight differently. The japanese bikes are surely better for parts availability, ease of maintenance and the zx6r is probably the best value. On the other hand, my insurance for the daytona was $30/month lower than the zx6r, probably because it gets crashed much less often.
@@ja31472 no I believe in the low rpm range it does pull harder. and we aren't talking about insurance, not sure why that came up. im talking bike performance
@@nickcolando9974 "we aren't talking about insurance ... im talking bike performance" I'm glad you have the resources to get yourself a motogp bike and don't have to worry about money at all. As for us mortals, we always need to consider performance per price, unfortunately, and insurance can be a major recurring cost, equivalent to 2 sets of tires + labor installation yearly. "I believe in the low rpm range it does pull harder" Numbers don't lie. Google "daytona 675 vs zx6r vs cbr600rr vs gsxr 600" and see the graph at cycleworld. Except for a minute section at 7000 rpm, the 675 beats the 636 in hp from 5000 to 11000 rpm. And forget about torque... the 675 murders the 636. In all other places they are equal except for the last 1000 rpm. Having owned both I would agree that for most people a japanese bike is a better choice. If you ride legally and safely on the road, do regular checks and are diligent with chain maintenance, the only time you have to take it in for maintenance is valves and spark plugs. You just can't do that with triumph.

It’s definitely aggressive but I wouldn’t say it’s impossible to daily ride with it… I haven’t had any issues in the last 2 months
Thank you for a thorough review. Keep it up! Hoping to get this bike soon. 🙏
Love your vids my guy. it really helped me decide on what 600 I want moved to size up to. Keep up the great work.💯👍
Thanks for the love dude!!!🫶🏽 Glad I was able to help!!
hey i put a deposit down to secure a 2022 ZX6R in Black with some dull Blue on bottom!

🔥 I loved the intro with the music 🎶 nice bike 🏍
I have the same bike... THIS IS my BRAND OF BIKE... I LOVE IT FROM THE FIRST DAY... I HAVE 2000 MILES IN A MONTH IN 1/2... THE FULL MODE WILL SCARE THE SHIT OUT OF YOU... When you shitting u better USE THE QUICK SHITTER... THIS BIKE IS VERY POWERFULL... I AM LOVING IT 💪😎
Yeah this bike is wicked for sure!!🤘🏽
Hey L.Rey, quick question, do you notice that your idle speed can fluctuate up and down slightly? As in it doesn't stay consistent even when warm?
Great vid thanks.
I'm going to buy this exact one in a few months I'm very excited
Nice review. I'm thinking about getting this Bike. I already have the 650. It's nice now time to move up. I will be with this bike for awhile it seems from your review so thanks
Glad I could help🤘🏽
I looked at kawi new colors for 2022 and 2023 i love how kawasaki chooses the perfect colors for bikes thats y ive had mine for years
I got the 23’ krt and is hands down best in class bike by far
That’s what I’m on now!!! Hope you’re enjoying it bro🫶🏽
@@L.Rey619the 2023 KRT color way is by far their best design for KRT editions. That’s what I have to
im waiting for the TFT display to come on it before i buy a new 600
The best thing about the mirrors is you can't see behind you. However, the mirrors are very sturdy and secure.
Ride safe!
Great review! waiting on my 2024 40th anniversary edition :)
Stuck between the 2023 zx-6r and the 2022 Aprilia rs660…. Can NOT decide.
Great vid, great review!! I half expected Gixxer Brah to go screaming by at some point 😂
Thanks for the love🫶🏽 I wish, I love his energy in his videos I wanna see it in real life😂😂
Got a 2022 650 and tbh I’m ready for the 636 I rode my buddies and wow the power is there. Car guy btw should’ve gotten an in-line 4 though cause I like to go fast lol
great video review love the zx-6r
Not crazy about the body position, but I just wish I had the 636 motor on a Ninja 650 chassis...
I see where your coming from and that would definitely make for an awesome daily bike!! However Kawasaki made the 636 to be a super sport and with that comes the aggressive body position… personally I would love to see the 636 motor as it is on a naked sport bike!!
@@L.Rey619 That'll work too! (BTW, I do own a Ninja 650). Are you listening, Kawasaki?
Is the CBR650R not sold in the US? Less power than a 636 but way more than a twin 650
@@chrissorreda4982 it is - It’s just forgotten a lot, and seems to be REALLY pushing in terms of top end power for a beginner, especially with no power modes
The 636 engine on my Ninja 400 would be insane lol
Intro is fire🔥🔥
Easy cosmetic changes can be made overall the bike is exceptional. The stock exhaust is hideous but look how many owners put a slip on almost right away.
im trying to decide from 2022 zx6r or the ninja 1000sx what do you think about both bikes
You can’t go wrong with either mate …1000sx is definitely more versatile and has enough fun factor for the average joe ..in fact more than enough…hope it helps🎉
You guys are so lucky. They no longer have these available anywhere Europe :(
I had a yamaha 1000 and I just got rid of it.
I know there completely different. But it’s between a zx6r or a Ducati Hypermotard 950sp
Looking to possibly buy a 2019 this weekend. There's no much for sale here now since it's prime riding season. I'm very picky still, and this bike is the most confident I feel looking at my limited options.
get it, got my 2020 a month ago, in love
ive got the same bike 2020 636 and i resproket it for highway comute, its insane how power never goes away, ive got the yoshi full exhaust, its louder but not bad,😜🤳
Hell yeah dude that hype af!!!🤘🏽🤘🏽
Did you go up on the front or down on the rear sprocket? Have you noticed much of a difference?
I have Ninja 400 and I want a ZX6R only for the sound... its intoxicating! I wonder how much harsher the ergonomics are on the ZX6R vs the Ninja 400
Funny thing is the 400 and the new ZX6R look so similar too
that eco light just means you're getting the best mpg in the gear you're in. it doesn't mean 55mpg
cbr is actually the best all round 600 best linear throttle best comfort, and best reliability. safest out of all the 600 as well.
Nice bike man
Have you ridden a zx10r? How is the size compared to it? Also , can you get the bike going in 1st all clutch no throttle?
Was really hoping they did a facelift , was not a fan of those headlights when they switched it from the 2019 model
I own a Yamaha fz6r. Should I just go for the zx10r or is the zx6r that much faster? My bike makes about 87hp and this is 127hp I believe.
I have the same bike bro it’s a fun ride
It 100% is, I have zero regrets since I purchased this thing!!
Awesome video! Can you confirm if yours have ABS? The Kawasaki site only shows ABS for the KRT trim. Thanks!
Only the krt models have abs for 21 and up and you can also get a krt edition without abs
Just confirmed this… yes the KRT is the one with ABS I was given the wrong information at the dealership
I have this exact color 2022 bike and when I put the Vin in for insurance, it came up as a abs model
The vertical part of the front wheel fender with have KIBS on it if it is an ABS model
@@andyaxon6728 if there is an abs light when you turn it on, you have abs, if not, then you don’t
I'm on a 650 now. Either looking into a 636 or a ninja 1000 because the 650 is comfy
Nice review bro...is this bike comfortable and good for using in the city?...deos it gets overheat?
Thanks for the love 🤘🏽❤️… For a super sport yes it is comfortable, now if you are comparing it to a naked like the FZ07 then obviously it’s no where near as comfortable as that… as for over heating she does tend to run hot but as long as you keep moving she will stay below 200 degrees, you do feel the heat a bit in your ankles as well
Thank you very much my friend❤❤❤
I'm going to buy either this bike or suzuki gsxr 1000 2013.....what do you suggest for a safe, comfortable bike and good for long rides and daily use?....I also hate going too fast😅
@@musiccommunity8783 personally I think the 600 class suits street riding better… don’t get me wrong I want a 1000 in the future but I wouldn’t get rid of my 636 to have the 1000… if you just plan on commuting and not trying to hit crazy tops speeds a 600 class is definitely the way to go… hope that help🤘🏽🫶🏽

Thanks for this video .
Our Clusters are so different from 2022 to 2024
Would u recommend me to go from a ninja 650 to a ZX-6r or ZX-10r
Does this version come with an ABS? I thought only the KRT version has ABS
I never understood the F full power mode and L low power mode. Because, wouldn't or shouldn't you be riding in full power when you turn on your bike and only have a botton to decrease your power mode.
They should make an armrest attachment.
Should a beginner learn to use the clutch regularly then use quick shifter or just use quick shifter??
Learning to use the clutch is very important for any rider to know even if your bike has quick shift. Even with a quick shifter on your be you can still use the clutch and many people tend to use the clutch when shifting from first to second since it can be a bit clunky depending on the bike. Hope this helps!
I want the 2021 because I want the teal color love it
Got myself a orange 2020 636, I’m from Houston, I saw that bucees, if you down here I’d be down to colab or ride bro 🔥💪🏼
Only thing i dont know is why they done a 636 again in a zx6 and should have done autoblip on these
how is this bike on the lower end, ive got a z900 and love amount of torque it has, but looking for a sport bike
It’s definitely not gonna come close to the low end power of your Z900 but it’s still definitely usable… wheelies and getting around traffic won’t be an issue but where this thing shines is about 9k and up… the power up top compared to a naked is absolutely thrilling!!
How tall/ weight …r u bro . Im a big boy im 5’11 245 pounds just wondering if i fit right 😅
Currently on ER-6F 2010/Ninja 650, using for daily work commute of around 100 miles to and fro, do you think this bike is usable for daily commute? I don't mind the ergo etc, just the power band & engine usability. Cheers!
Definitely useable, just going expect the same fuel mileage as the 650, and you'll need to use the more expensive fuel. The 636 still gets good mileage and is fairly comfortable.
Hell yes
damn 2022 and it doesnt come with a steering damper. sweet bike though
Did you get any problems because you dont ABS yet?
I’m about to get the same bike so I’m kinda nervous
Nah dude no problems at all… in my personal opinion starting on a bike with no abs is better because you will have to learn proper braking techniques that abs does for you making you a better rider in the long run… as long as you don’t suddenly squeeze the brake to full pressure you’ll be fine… hope that helped🤘🏽🫶🏽
@@L.Rey619 thanks for replying.
It’s kinda weird. This bike has 2 ABS tone rings front and back but they’re not ABS…
@@L.Rey619 one more question.
How did dealership fix their wrong information about ABS?
The dealership at my area keeps telling me that this color bike got ABS
@@HungNguyen-zw7bt technically they never did, I found out thru my own research… with that said I checked Kawasaki’s website and they didn’t over charge me for the model I got… the msrp I payed was correct
so u can shift without clutch on this bike to?
does anyone else find the front end on these kinda iffy? I wish it looked similar to the 2017 r6 but I certainly don't think its bad looking
I hated it when it first came out but it's grown on me
Get a liter bike there actually pretty much the same if not better then a 600 on normal roads imo
They Cost 5000 more for negligeable performance improvement on track.
This model does not have abs. Only the KRT models have them. They may have the wheel speed sensors but they are for traction control which a lot of dealers get fooled and think they have abs
Thank you for sharing this, just confirmed this to be true… dealership gave me the wrong information!
Dealers get fooled? Haha! All you got to do is look up the VIN number and it's going to tell you whether or not it has ABS
@@L.Rey619 yeah, and they probably overcharged you. There's a premium for abs. You got took bro
Yeah I would go back to the dealership if they charged you more, get the difference back since it doesn’t have abs
how tall are you? im 6'1 but weigh 290.. is this bike good for that type of rider.
You're fairly big at 290, I'd try one out and see if you like it. I imagine you will have to get used to holding yourself up by gripping your knees so your wrists don't get toasted.
@@M16xDr0pSh0tz yeah i was thinking that , some people told me to go to r1 since its bigger and stuff but idk. I never had a bike
@@jayb7416 Starting on an r1 is daunting, but not impossible. I started on a 636 and feel like it was a perfect mix of speed and also control using low power mode for a month or two. You know yourself best.
How much was the bike?
I got it for msrp price… $10,799. Out the door I payed more then that since I got gap insurance (highly recommended everyone does) and I also opted into some dealer service packages since I ride so much to save on service in the long run… out the door I sat at around $14,000
13000.. with all the fee n taxes the bikes 11000 in Sc

that's fine. still a lightweight bike. the zx6r pulls harder then every bike you just mentioned besides the gixxer750
@@nickcolando9974 "we aren't talking about insurance ... im talking bike performance"
I'm glad you have the resources to get yourself a motogp bike and don't have to worry about money at all. As for us mortals, we always need to consider performance per price, unfortunately, and insurance can be a major recurring cost, equivalent to 2 sets of tires + labor installation yearly.
"I believe in the low rpm range it does pull harder"
Numbers don't lie.
@@ja31472 hahah relax. I said "I believe." and also when did I suggest that I dont have to worry about money. so after reading your message, ive decided to sell my zx6r and get a Daytona. thanks so much for your guidance my friend
