TIP number one focus on riding before tricks. If you don’t you will get into trouble quickly. I have been riding for 28 years , tricks will come but riding safely and coming home at night is more important

Congrats on the purchase, my friend! I was lucky enough to pick one up in the midnight blue/black color/2023 Zx6r without ABS, last November. I love it and just hit 700 miles total, on her yesterday.
For the folks who meantioned that you are shifting too early, here's a good answer you can give them, .....You only have 321 miles on your brand new bike when you made this video and the dealership should have told you to keep the RPMs under 4000 for the first 200 miles, under 6000RPMs til 400 miles, and then you can spank her a tiny bit around 8000-10K RPMs from 400-600 miles (I know all that sounds a little silly, but it also says to do this in the Zx6r owners manual, go check it out). This is called a "break-in period". When you hit 600 miles, you need to take your Ninja in to the dealer and get the 600 mile maintenance (which is an oil change and tightening of the valves). You were doing the right thing by keeping your RPMs low at this stage. Also, when using the quick shift, keep in mind that our Zx6r only has "upshift" and it does not include a blipper (downshift). You'll have to use the clutch to downshift.
My recommendation, for now, would be to "invest in protective gear" and not so much on accessories to make your bike go faster. It will be a very long time before you and I can exceed the performance of this machine, so why buy things to make it go faster when we can't handle the speed and performance of it being "stock". On the contrary, buying accessories to make it more comfortable to ride (like levers, rear sets/foot pegs, frame sliders, etc..) is a different story. Im 6'3, 175lbs and I had to have Woodcraft rear sets/foot pegs installed because the stock footpeg position was too cramped. Much better comfort with adjustable rear-sets, and it allows me to concentrate more on improving my riding skills. I think the very first accessories though, should always be "frame sliders" and if possible, axle sliders. They will save you money when (not if) in case of a crash or dump.
Definitely buy protective gear though mate (leather jacket, leather gloves, track boots, etc...). Its much easier to replace leather than skin! I'm one of those guys that look like a Power Ranger with full leather track suit when I ride on the public roads. I dont worry that others may think it looks silly because wearing full protection puts me in my comfort zone when out riding.
I'll subscribe and check on your Zx6r journey to how you are coming along. Awesome bike bro, and it was a good choice of bike to purchase. I hope these tips help and I don't mean to sound arrogant. Im such a student when it comes to riding motorcycles and I just want to keep learning more and more everyday.
Keep your head on a swivel and the rubber side down. Be well my friend 🤟

I just bought a 2023 zx6r krt a few days ago and it shifts a bit rough from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd when using the quick shift, I then turned off the KQS and used the clutch and it’s still a bit jerky, am I doing something wrong or do I have to make adjustments? I know almost nothing about this bikes transmission. Any guidance would be appreciated! I also have to roll the bike forward a bit sometimes to get it to shift from neutral to 1st, is this normal? I don’t want to call the dealership and sound dumb if these things are normal with the 636 lol

Just got my 23 zx6r KRT edition few weeks ago. They didn't explain the quick shift to me neither but I had a 08 zx6r and knew that the new ones have the pressure shifter. Only works shifting up quick shifter you don't have to engage clutch but you will on these. I added a m4 g19 slip on and took the baffle out. Thing sounds absolutely amazing. Subbed and be safe out there my guy.

Nice seeing you making good progress. 6:23 Very important point, target fixation is a big issues else :D . Next level for slow speed is to keep revs a bit higher and control your speed with keeping rear break engaged and use alot more clutch modulation. When you master it engine will balance the bike for you. Feels like circus trick standing still like that. This type of technique is required in tight traffic and narrow streets, steep incline/decline city corners. (Think San Francisco). Spicy revving there 13:07 your so funny :D

    Slow speed manoeuvres:
    Look where you wanna go
    Have your head up
Arch your back while making the slow manoeuvre (proper posture. Do you not slouch)
The last one, arch your back, made the biggest difference for me, it improved my balance, 100%
Also, get some aftermarket fairings on and put away the nice and expensive
OEM fairings and put some frame sliders on the bike asap 💯.
Quick question, is there a reason why you tend to keep the thumb on your left hand on top of the bar instead of having your thumb under the bar like you do on your right hand?
