I did a report in school 60 years ago, when I was 7 years old, on the duckbill platypus, they’ve fascinated me always, and I’m addicted to wildlife documentaries. It’s inspiring to see young people becoming such good stewards to the land and animals, something humans have mostly failed on so far.Steve Irwin was a true hero for our planet, his kids have carried on such a meaningful legacy.
We are all so lucky to have Bob. He is a clone of his father, down to his never ending love for Australia's Native creatures. His father would be so proud! 🥰
Platypodes are the most ancient of all mammals, laying eggs held in a pouch, with the lowest body temperatures, having venom, and having a crocodile-like stance. They are the most recent living descendant of the synapsid/therapsid ancestors of all mammals in the Permian Period. During the Triassic the Dinosaurs began to take over, but after the KT extinction event, I consider that "The Synapsids' Revenge" and the noble and hardy Platypus played a huge role in that. The ancestors of the Marsupials must have been Monotremes, and the ancestors of the Placentals must have been Marsupials.
They must have to constantly have changed their clothes throughout the day because you'll be soaked from water, covered in mud, blood, urine, poop. The laundry people. Of several hundredS of staff members.
that platypus is the cutest thing i’ve ever seen

Did you ever get to see a platypus in person?
@@greenghost6691 I wish!
@@greenghost6691 They are VERY hard to spot in the wild. Nocturnal, camouflaged, timid. Even YT videos with wild footage about them are rare.

Steve's and his family who was unfortunately separated to soon, have a really wonderful legacy. Steve has a reason to be proud.
You can't convince me a platypus isn't a glitch in the Matrix😂
If that’s his son narrating he sounds just like Steve.
Yes that’s Steve Irwin’s son, Robert Irwin. A spitting image of his dad
This family’s mentality is amazing
You can almost say that it's a semi-aquatic, egg-laying mammal of action..
I love how Australia cares so much about the wildlife in their country .
