i know thats out for emulated/wii but i dont know if it is for pc port. i think its like the mario 64 port where it was built from the ground up and needs some work before it gets to pots.
The build I was using did not have these option from what I could see. Maybe for future content tho👀

This is not N64 randomizer, it is the PC port randomizer, which is a project relatively young, so features takes time to de velop (even tho in 8 months the work as b een astonishing)

Gotta say I appreciated the editing in this video. Far too many randomiser videos just focus on the big moments and lose the plot a bit, but this one still showed a bunch of dud item checks, and even though they were only up momentarily I felt like it kept the thing cohesive :)

@@jake6056 i thought its the combination of 16:9 and 60 fps to be honest, normally it seems pretty normal regularly emulating it in 60, its just the extra screen space throws you for a loop, plus the camera actually works 🤣

The thing about wanting ports like this on Switch... Ship of Harkinian HAS a Switch version. It is 100% capable of running this well on Switch, you just have to be able to mod your Switch.
Also, the Ship's randomizer has a built in, automatically updated item tracker. If you wanted to use that.

Dang, the PC port has come a long way since I first checked it out when it was originally released. I tried this for a bit at 120fps and it's so smooth.
dang, how powerful is your PC? mine could only ever reach 90 FPS.
Which is funny when you consider how young the project is by itself, not even a year in and yet so much added
@@Skew0443 built it a year ago, R7 5800x and 3070ti. The monitor is 165hz, but I like to just keep everything at 120fps to save on energy since I really can't tell the difference from 120 to 165 (the port also recommends going in 20fps increments for better results).
i mean it isn't a very resource heavy game so that's not surprising.

The door of time, even in the vanilla game, does not actually check your inventory for the stones or the ocarina of time.

Linkus's videos are soo addictive! Its hard for me to find that with many youtube gamer people nowadays. Him and Luke/Zelda Master have had me hooked like crazy! I also love OOT as I have the 3ds version on my steamdeck currently with Henrico's 4k texture pack. The game is freaken gorgeous lol.

Learning that Linkus doesn’t like Water Temple even with iron boots mapped to a button (tbf bosses still suck) is like learning that santa isn’t real
bro this game is so smooth
Now, Nayru's Love isn't COMPLETLY useless. If you have the Master Quest version of Water Temple (which IDK if it is available on the PC port, but is definitely available for the Wii VC rando), the room leading to the boss door has the metal spikes moving extremely fast, and the intended way to get past is a Hookshot target you can only hit with Longshot. However, you can alternatively use Nayru's Love to climb the slope, as it very specifically negates the knockback from that type of moving spikes in addition to negating the damage of any hit. The only other thing to note is that the moving spikes can ALSO be frozen with Ice Arrows, which is ALSO the only use of conventional Ice Arrows, making that single room in Master Quest the only place two whole items have a use in rando, and it is for the same thing, and can also be bypassed with Longshot, which is required or reccomended for checks in several other Master Quest dungeons.

This port also has a really nice auto item tracker and check tracker. Which for someone like me who’s very new to running randomizers it’s so much help just looking at the side and looking at the trackers on my ultrawide.

I'm an aspiring OoT Speedrunner. I did an 80 stream early January practicing tricks and doing a 100 Skulltula full randomizer run and I've continued to practice more things as I go. Right now I'm practicing the GSR run and I'd like to (despite being clearly outclassed) do a race with you if possible in randomizer. You've inspired me a lot and I thought it'd be incredibly fun. Of course, I know that it's very unlikely, but I thought I'd run the possibility by you.

Just started watching and 60 fps looks so smooth, also love the randomizer the only setting I don't care to watch is random entrances
Normally when I play a game at 60FPS, I simply can't tell a difference from 30 without having them side by side, and even then it's a stretch. Holy crap that turn at the start was just _so_ smooth!
