Tears if the Kingdom is linear without all the perks of being linear. I would rate TotK a like 7-8.5 while BotW is one of the games that deserve a 10/10

Good luck man. It was so hard for me to start spoiler free and I got it the day after it came out. Took me about 2.5 weeks and with steamers beating it in 5 days it was not easy.
All enemies spawning during the final encounter - honestly, that would've been amazing in the canon game. As though the calamity itself draws everything to its location in a final ditch effort to destroy Link for its own survival.

Yeah despite watching playthroughs ahead of time when i did the Yiga hideout in my save i didn't use the bananas at all, i actually lured them toward me with my whistle so theyd search the area below me, then when they were distracted i used the paraglider to fly the rest of the way across the room (all while wearing the sheikah armor). As far as i remember it worked like a charm. I tried the banana method when i had to go back thru for the DLC but it actually didn't work quite as well for me
About a year ago I tried to teach my dad how to play botw and it ended up being me replaying botw. Using Revali’s Bow I figured out exactly how many bomb arrows it took to kill a foot soldier in the yiga clan. It was actually so much fun

It actually was the randomizer. It seems like some songs weren't randomized (I don't think tarrey town was), but it was the stone talus theme that was replaced by chasing daybreak

What an amazingly evil mod. Basically a chaos edition instead of a randomizer, with built in "bingo" that makes you read the bingo squares one by one but also you have to get every square. Truly, the work of a sadist
One time, one of my friends said they never learned about shield bashing and stuff until very late in the game. So he fought thunder blight without dodging and stuff.

I feel like you can see the difference between the difficulty of the shrines between botw and totk. Botw shrines we’re just a pain in the ass, while totk shrines just make you use ultra hand 75 percent of the time.

I did the hole shot one with the really long shot, too, but luckily I had a Golden Bow at the time, so the shot was pretty easy.

I think you can choose which effects the randomizer has when you start it. You don't have to play with the add/remove effect if you don't want to.
