I enjoyed following you on your little detours. We saw some interesting places. Thank you. I would probably also "shamelessly" take pictures of a pink RR if I got the chance.
Another great vid, as always. I have used turn by turn navigation on my KTM, it's rubbish. There is nothing better than a good old phone mount and Google maps or a mounted tablet with Google maps. Ride safe x
Your satnav seems to enjoy taking you on these mystery tours. It's beginning to remind me of HAL when it went rogue in 2001. Anyway I'm really enjoying this series and I hope many more trips to come in the future.
Hi Liz, enjoyed your magical mystery tour, The accommodation you have been staying at is so so cheap, on my Scotland holiday this year for my b&b I was paying around £60 -£80 a night for a single room, admittedly I had a BIG cooked Scottish breakfast included. Look forward to your next video, Take care from Roy 👍 😊.
That’s what we get for being in the north😅 usually I struggle to find places for less than £30 (worse the further north I go). South seems to have more hostel type places and they’re really nice!
I very much enjoy the conversations between you and Pinky - I'm not entirely sure that she treats you with the respect you deserve, probably punishment for the weather you take her through 😂
I think Pinky is doing her best, she just really wishes for warm track days, maybe if I followed her direction with no interference I’d end up at Silverstone, or the approved used showroom. One of those.
@R1_Liz 😂 "I want to go to Slovenia" "Brands Hatch, you said? Avoiding toll roads, got it, left in 1.2km" It does explain some of her decision making. Glad to see you feeling better too.
I still have a bit of hope for it and it’s so much neater than messing with a phone mount etc when I’d prefer to keep my phone securely in my pocket. A better way of dealing with it is to look online for good roads first and ask it to take me to them and go from there, and also hope that the GPS isn’t out of sync like it was in Finland 😅
Hi Liz. Greetings from Slovakia. 😊 If you visit us again in the future, don't worry about the drivers. Since You ride a bike, they expect you overtaking them at speeds at least twice as fast as they are driving at. They are confused by your adherence to the speed limit 😁 Happy riding 💪🙏
Hi! I feel silly now, but it’s better than getting a horrible fine for speeding, now I know for future to just go in front of everyone and I’ll fit in 😁
@ don't feel silly. If You want to be safe, just keep riding at the same speed as cars in front of You and "hide" behind them for "fine avoidance safety" and you'll be just fine 😁 (no pun intended)
Service station hot dogs can be pretty great for some weird reason. The service station chains seem to have standardized on those as fast road food rather than burgers, probably because the burger department is served by a whole herd of burger chains. Personally I might have stopped at a supermarket on the way to pick up breakfast and "emergency dinner", but I guess hindsight is 20/20 as they say.
Just discovered you here! nice videos! Any plans to come to Romania? How did you managed to tie such a big bag to such a small tail on that bike! You are very brave to travel so much! Congrats! From one biker to another, I wish you dry asphalt, twisty roads and amazing views! And best of prices at the pump so you can have an everlasting full tank of gas! Ride Safe!
If I had more time I was hoping to get to Romania on this trip, but I had to turn back before I got that far. Hopefully I’ll be able to go another time because I’d love to see it! Thank you for your kind comment 😁 have a safe winter
@R1_Liz Worth making a one week trip around here but rather in the summer. We have several curvy roads at high altitude that are closed during the cold season, but during summer they are absolutely epic. Some of them I still want to ride myself. And you might even stumble upon friendlier riders around here. Prices for food, petrol and staying overnight are better too. I even heard about an initiative of a group of riders that are receiving motorbike travelers for free for some nights, a warm meal and a shower. I am yet to try their hospitality myself. I can't wait for spring! New year, new riding season, new and old roads to travel!
I just accidentally got here, and I am wondering why do you do touring on a sport bike? Is it comfortable to you? And yeah, Hungary is pretty boring if you are looking for curvy roads. Go to Austria. There is a lot more there :)
I tour on sportsbikes because I like sportsbikes and I like touring. Actually the S1000RR is surprisingly comfortable - and my sport model has cruise control and heated grips so it’s basically a touring bike. I heard good things about Hungary so I was happy to be there but I think I picked the boring corner to visit 😅
If you don't get stopped by the local law you won't get nicked for no Vignette. I have risked it several times. You can avoid toll roads in navigation settings / avoidances it works for me .
I thought this was the case but didn’t want to risk it 😅 thinking back, 1 hour of motorway could have been 2 hours of something else but sometimes I just fancy a bit of motorway
In Poland I think I was lucky with only needing motorways that didn’t have tolls (according to the toll map I found online), there was a scary moment where 4 armed police vans joined me on a motorway but they overtook and went somewhere else so I guess they had bigger fish to fry on that occasion
I notice these chapels everywhere when I go about 300 miles south from the English channel, took some getting used to and it’s fascinating seeing all the different styles - we have nothing like it in England and most of our churches are super old
Great video, you always find the animals 😃 loving the adventure
Thank you for sharing your adventure ! I LOVE your videos !
Thank you! Glad you’re enjoying them
Having been off-roading in deepest Suffolk ... don't trust BMW with finding a wiggly route! Great vid 👍🏻
BMW has its own mind
Nice video Liz ! Waiting next 😀
20:00 what a charming little village.
I loved it I just wish the shop was open 😅
Thanks for the video. Sending love 💜
dobrodošla :)
👋😘👋
glad ur feelin betta!!

You sound a lot better now? I was expecting a white 🐈 to appear in your room 😂from your bag 😂xx

@R1_Liz I have never tried hostels, I live in Cornwall now but I am from Southampton ,your neck of the woods if I'm not mistaken. 👍.

You're going to have to get @Calimoto or a phone mount. Pinkies system is dire 😢

You have been in Lendava and forgot to check the Lindauring for corners 😅
*insert spontaneous track day here*

You should probably switch to google maps for more accurate navigation 😀
I'm using TOMTOM DISCOVERY GOT me up to Sheffield loved it

Are you in croatia now?Im thinking going there tomorw.Nice bike👍
This was filmed last month so no, but Croatia was warm and sunny and dry with some really cool roads - not sure what it’s like in December though
Need a place to stay in Ljubljana, safe for the bike, I have a bunch of
Fun roads. Could it be that there are some settings in the navigator that are set incorrectly, causing it to lead you on small strange roads?
It really isn’t that in depth, so I don’t think I can change much about it, just figure out ways to work around its quirks 😅
I just accidentally got here, and I am wondering why do you do touring on a sport bike? Is it comfortable to you? And yeah, Hungary is pretty boring if you are looking for curvy roads. Go to Austria. There is a lot more there :)

Liz,
I'm watching your insta from past few days, you're updating there many things but when we gonna get videos of that 😊
In a few weeks 😅 gotta get these trip videos out the way first and it’s giving my time to edit
@R1_Liz intejar mein hai
Maybe if you ignore half of Pinky's directions, you can get there in half the time?
Good idea, I’ll try that next time
in poland majority of motoways are free for motorcycles
In Poland I think I was lucky with only needing motorways that didn’t have tolls (according to the toll map I found online), there was a scary moment where 4 armed police vans joined me on a motorway but they overtook and went somewhere else so I guess they had bigger fish to fry on that occasion
How’s the hotdog addiction going now you are back home 😂
Suffering withdrawal. The hotdog I talked about in this video had ‘samurai sauce’ and I have no idea what it is or how to find/make it at home 😩
@@R1_Liz just had a look on google 😂 good luck getting it some people talked about importing it into the uk. I want to know what it is like now 🤔.
it's not small church it's a chapel... big one there are also small ones with like 1 statue
I notice these chapels everywhere when I go about 300 miles south from the English channel, took some getting used to and it’s fascinating seeing all the different styles - we have nothing like it in England and most of our churches are super old
btw on roundabouts blinkers are used only when getting out...
Sportes bike not easy to riding long tour You must buy the adventure touring bike very easy to long riding with panir very comftible smoth
