Thank you Noraly for being part of this wonderful adventure called Itchy Boots. from Ecuador enjoying your adventure with Frankie.
i love your positive energy, it spreads through the screen! your videos are the best kind of therapy and show aspects of life, countries and people that brings back faith in humanity!
Beautiful drone shots of fascinating geography in Turkey’s interior. A real fun mix of roads for you & Frankie to traverse. Always important to take care of your ride. Frankie appreciates the care & love you show her.
Thanks for taking the real back routes and displaying the world the true beauty of Anatolian highlands! A true rider loves the isolation, and my coumtry has tons of spots to give that to one who seeks, away from the tourist traps and all-inclusive resorts.
Beautiful country and wonderful friendly people. The fact you are alone with no camera crew following behind for help if you need it is amazing in itself. Your videos and drone views along with your dialogue is top drawer. Most people stay to the beaten path but not you, your off road as much as possible. That freshly oiled road could be a real hazard, especially if there is rain. I guess it keeps the dust down and keeps the gravel compacted better. It’s not friendly to 2 wheeled transportation. Ride safely as always Noraly.👍👍🇨🇦
Noraly You've encountered many things in all seasons but the fresh tar, I do not recall. Moritz and I were happy you were able to give TLC to Frankie in time. It hit me in this video what a wonderful experience it would be sitting in a movie theater watching this and your other videos. I'd gladly pay the same fee for a 20 minute Itchy Boots video on the big screen as we pay for a 2 hour multimillion dollar fake production. Its breathtaking enough on a 27" computer screen but seeing the drone imagery in a theater environment would be mind blowing. Once again the food/breakfast looked incredible and thank you for taking us along. Ride Safe! Peace! ❤❤❤
I have a feeling the Itchy Geologist knows a lot more about the sunburnt hills the rest of us see, beyond the beautiful scenery. I remember we got some amazing insights in Africa about geological evolution. I'd love to hear more of that.
@@mkpears ...I believe Turkiye lies in a region that is seismically active - you can feel Noraly restraining herself from going all geeky on us. I really enjoyed her geological and geographical musings as she travelled through Africa. Incredible stuff wonderfully presented.
@@illitraitI wish she would go all geo-geeky! I love learning about everything, how the motorcycle runs, and why she chose it, the culture, the people, history, and the history of the land. The geology is just one more thing to learn about. I feel like Noraly’s student. 😊
...I'm with you on this one, @@oddsox-sensei - however, I seriously doubt the vast majority of Noraly's followers share my deeper-than-average interest in geology/geography and its interface with human activity. They do love a good travelogue, though, especially when presented by a certain type of person. Clearly.
Hello Noraly. They dry tomatoes and use them for soup, you can order them for dinner. Gravel is laid on the roads to make them more economical, then tar is poured on it and it mixes over time and resembles an asphalt road, easy to clean with diesel fuel and a brushI😃 Am happy that you liked my country, I wish you to drive safely.
Love those drone videos over the arid countryside , looks a lot like Mexican deserts and mountains. Actually the paving contractor got their sequence wrong with that road . They may have gotten a deal on a tanker load of the bitumen but failed to follow up the application of the liquid directly with loads of finely crushed stone spread thinly . It is called chip-seal pavement and works out well for a low budget rural road . Traffic will then work the chips into the bitumen and make a nice pavement . A repeat coating after a few years will refresh it , which apparently this job was supposed to do . Buying a liter of diesel fuel in an open can makes it easier to remove the mess with a brush and rags . .
Was going to say the same, it called pitch and tar near me and the only difference is they put a layer of gravel, then tar and the push more gravel over it. The tar eventually makes it way up to almost resemble an asphalt road - just a little rougher.
In Tennessee, USA, as a boy, I saw the work crews spray hot tar on the road and immediately drive a dump truck backwards over the tar. The truck would spread small gravel over the tar as it went backwards, thus keeping the tar off of the truck’s wheels.
Your aerial shots, are incredible, it gives the hills and mountains, a pulsating, almost life line of energy, and depth. The beauty of the different perspectives, in all senses.🙏🏼
Hi Noraly Tarring gravel roads is very common in Canada. It keeps the dust down, binds the surface and helps with erosion but its dirty riding when its fresh. You managed to clean it off very well.
This is called chip sealing in the USA. Typically done on paved rural roads that are in rough condition/that need a quick and relatively cheap repair when compared to the alternative of a full grind and overlay/replacing of the roadway. Typically after placing the tar a layer of fine aggregate is spread over the road. You can see the stockpiled material to be placed on the tarred sections at 12:33 on the right hand side.
Turks are so lucky to have inherited all this beauty (natural and cultural) from the past civilizations of Anatolia. Hope to ride there someday soon 🏍 Warm regards from neighboring Georgia 👋
Inherited? We have always been here, many civilisations also came by and left. The Turkish Republic is the continuation of the rich anatolian history and culture. Funny you coming from georgia saying this
@simge2527 "We have always been here" 🙂 Then how come you speak the language originating from Central Asia? 🤔 Yes, I come from Georgia, which had been interracting (in one way or another) with the peoples of Anatolia long before first Turkic nomads began to settle there. History is fun

I absolutely love it when Noraly provides her drone footage, the videos are always so stunning that I frequently take screenshots to save as phone/ PC wallpaper. She makes me want to ride my motorcycle to the craziest places (and I do).
Hi Noraly, its always great to watch your adventure and can t get enough of your drone shots,, have a safe journey, I will keep on following your trip.
Nice roads, beautiful country. Liquid tar is always a surprise. We already had this kind of new roads 25 years ago in the north of Turkey on the black sea. No signs, no detour, no chance. "Road construction" over at least 3 kilometers. My Suzuki was black everywhere, as were my clothes. That lasts for years. Even today, I still find parts of it between the cooling fins of the cylinders. A souvenir of the beautiful trip through Turkey - also for yours.
Hello Noraly, Before the winter months in Turkey, maintenance work is done regularly on the roads that are used a lot. First, a tanker of tar is poured on the road and then gravel is laid on it. You can clean the tar by wetting a cloth with some gasoline.
Gasoline volatile, I suggest to removed tar using Kerosene more better Noraly gasoline not good for fingers n hand, causing skins dried, n a little swollen if you don't quickly wash using soap. That's my experience.
It's actually not a bad way to do road maintenance. Cheap, fast, simple and you can get a really nice and resistant road surface when done properly. Leaving tar floating around didn't seem that smart, though. That is a nightmare to clean.
Turkey is just so much more interesting than we ever knew. Thanks Itchy for showing us yet another part of the world we should have checked out. We are pleased to hear Frankie the Yammie working away - sounds good - nice exhaust note.
Noraly my wife and I have been watching your channel for 2 years now; once we found it we started from the beginning to now being current. We have to say that we miss not seeing more of the villages/ towns you go to and we also enjoyed seeing the meals you are served. What beauty Turkey has! Reminds me of places in western America where I've been camping...and some places you went on your bike too...in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming. Plus, some of today's scenery looks a lot like my home state of South Dakota near the Badlands. I had no idea this was what turkey looked like...now I really wanna go there!😍
Be honest, what were you expecting? Since Turkey is a Muslim country, you probably expected desert, camels and the other stereotypical stuff pushed by the Western mainstream media, right?
“Your adventurous spirit and determination are truly inspiring! Watching you travel on your motorcycle is a reminder that passion and courage can take us anywhere. Thank you for sharing your journey with us!”
I hate Tar! I am sorry that you and Frankie had to ride through that stuff. Beautiful scenery and the mountains are magnificent! See you on your next adventure Noraly!
Hi Noraly, thanks for an awesome ride today, the drone footage was out of this world, Turkey looks like a beautiful country and those mountains are just beautiful. Best that you got the tar off before it hardened otherwise it would be very difficult to get it cleaned. Keep safe and God Bless. Cannot wait for Sunday's episode. Greetings from Cape Town.
This can easily be called the Drone Special Vlog for its amazing drone footage and a lots of it. Lovely landscape captured by the drone camera showed off this fabulous Turkish countryside . Too bad the Tar spoiled some fun for Noraly and Frankie had to be wiped as soon as possible. The love and care for Frankie is quite evident by the fact that Noraly preferred to clean up her bike before her starving self could have a morsel of food. It’s immensely admirable and something of a lesson. Ride on Itchy Boots
The aerial views add a terrific dimension to your videos. Music and commentary along with the top line cameras/lenses as well. I never grow bored or tired of riding along with you, Noraly. Once again you’ve found accommodation in an out of the way location. Taking good care of the bike is paramount, I can clearly see you have your priorities in order. Stay strong and safe, Noraly…❤❤❤Rick
Noraly, one thing I have learned after all the seasons I have followed you is that no matter how desolate an area appears, the chances are there is a road of some sort through the wasteland and welcoming people on either side.
Thank you for travellling in the country side of Turkey. I just being sorry about those "lovely new asphalt" road, most probably not planned, and worked propetly by our "lovely contractors" as happened most of the time. But hopefully those roads will be better next year, thanks to your broacast.

That's called a chip seal. It's the old way of paving roads generally there would be more stone on top so only a little bleeds through but some still do it heavy and let it soak in. Here in Kansas this is still done a lot always makes me mad to get it on my 100k truck and then I have to clean it off. Luckily diesel or WD-40 takes it off pretty easy but then needs to be de greased.
Life is incredible. Noraly's passion and YT technology enables me to enjoy her adventures with my Ipad while in bed, before i fall asleep, in my home in Montreal. I am so grateful. Thank you Noraly.

Thank you Noraly for being part of this wonderful adventure called Itchy Boots. from Ecuador enjoying your adventure with Frankie.
Noraly we are so lucky that we are seeing the whole world through your eyes. 👏👏👏👍
Her drone footage really lets us see the hidden Turkey .. spectacular 😍
i love your positive energy, it spreads through the screen! your videos are the best kind of therapy and show aspects of life, countries and people that brings back faith in humanity!
I m very impressed of this wonderful video. Turkey is so beautyful. Take care.😊❤
Ride Safe! Peace! ❤❤❤
Hey Jason! Mind blowing indeed!😉
I have a feeling the Itchy Geologist knows a lot more about the sunburnt hills the rest of us see, beyond the beautiful scenery. I remember we got some amazing insights in Africa about geological evolution. I'd love to hear more of that.
+1 --- I was looking at the landscape and thinking about asking whether it was volcanic ?
She’s a geologist.
Gravel is laid on the roads to make them more economical, then tar is poured on it and it mixes over time and resembles an asphalt road, easy to clean with diesel fuel and a brushI😃
Am happy that you liked my country, I wish you to drive safely.
Your country is wonderful, as much as my Italy
Love those drone videos over the arid countryside , looks a lot like Mexican deserts and mountains.
Actually the paving contractor got their sequence wrong with that road . They may have gotten a deal on a tanker load of the bitumen but failed to follow up the application of the liquid directly with loads of finely crushed stone spread thinly . It is called chip-seal pavement and works out well for a low budget rural road . Traffic will then work the chips into the bitumen and make a nice pavement . A repeat coating after a few years will refresh it , which apparently this job was supposed to do . Buying a liter of diesel fuel in an open can makes it easier to remove the mess with a brush and rags .
.
@@sjoerdbakker6040What you said is suitable for the summer season, what we saw in the video is not good work
Was going to say the same, it called pitch and tar near me and the only difference is they put a layer of gravel, then tar and the push more gravel over it.
Welcome to Türkiye❤❤🐈⬛🐈⬛
Hi Noraly
Tarring gravel roads is very common in Canada.
Hope to ride there someday soon 🏍
Warm regards from neighboring Georgia 👋
Well, we Turks are predominantly carrying the Anatolian gene. We are the people who always lived here + some Turkic genes. We are the continuation.
No we are Turks :) @@DragovianMythiX
Thank you bro ❤ 👋
Inherited? We have always been here, many civilisations also came by and left. The Turkish Republic is the continuation of the rich anatolian history and culture. Funny you coming from georgia saying this
@simge2527 "We have always been here" 🙂 Then how come you speak the language originating from Central Asia? 🤔
Yes, I come from Georgia, which had been interracting (in one way or another) with the peoples of Anatolia long before first Turkic nomads began to settle there. History is fun
Amazing scenes today!! Did not know Turkey looked like this.
Watching from New Zealand with the utmost respect ....... Such an inspiring young lady ❤🙏❤️
Wow.... Turkey is so beautiful...!
Thank you for such wonderful videos of beautiful scenery Noraly, lot's of love. 🙏🙂💜
Thank you for the wonderful tour of Turkey. Breathtaking!
Turpentine will remove the remnants of the tar and will not harm the plastic. You are one very brave lady! Kudos!!!
That´s overthinking it. Diesel or Kerosene will do the trick as well.
@@olenilsen4660 Leave the tar where it is, it's the best rust protection you'll ever find

Yep, Diesel if you're on the road. Also WD-40 and Goo Gone are excellent.
I love the sound of Frankie's engine...He purrs like a big cat...
Take good care of him ...
And thank you for the immersion in this amazing land untouched by mass tourism.
Thank you for sharing your travels with us. I am always touched how you connected with people and at the same time you can hold your ground as we saw in last season. Travel safe, you bring us much joy.
You are a brave woman, have an enjoyable journey
Your cinematography skills are becoming superb!
Yeah, it seems getting better... but while riding, leave hands to record may source of accidents.... safety is first..
Excellent days riding Noralay the wet tar being the only downside to an other epic ride through Turkey. The scenery is just amazing
Trip turned out pretty good after all. Beautiful country.
Again, fantastic camera work! I can only agree to all the positive comments on Turkey. Ride safe.
why doesnt she use normal way instead of mountain way lol
Thank you for showing real Turkey its amazing
Nice roads, beautiful country. Liquid tar is always a surprise. We already had this kind of new roads 25 years ago in the north of Turkey on the black sea. No signs, no detour, no chance. "Road construction" over at least 3 kilometers. My Suzuki was black everywhere, as were my clothes. That lasts for years. Even today, I still find parts of it between the cooling fins of the cylinders. A souvenir of the beautiful trip through Turkey - also for yours.
A lot of similarities to Northern Nevada and Death Valley ,Ca. I think I would like it. Thank you Noraly for taking us there!
Vielen lieben Dank, dass du so schöne Videos über unser Land machst und diese auf ganze Welt zeigst ❤🙏🧿
Hello Noraly, Before the winter months in Turkey, maintenance work is done regularly on the roads that are used a lot. First, a tanker of tar is poured on the road and then gravel is laid on it. You can clean the tar by wetting a cloth with some gasoline.
Yes, they had to first lay asphalt and then pound gravel. But here they only laid asphalt. Unfortunately, they forgot the gravel.
Gasoline volatile, I suggest to removed tar using Kerosene more better Noraly gasoline not good for fingers n hand, causing skins dried, n a little swollen if you don't quickly wash using soap. That's my experience.
Hoi Noraly, met wasbenzine krijg je die teer zo van je motor af. Diesel werkt ook. Succes!
Yes, chip and seal common all over the world.
It's actually not a bad way to do road maintenance. Cheap, fast, simple and you can get a really nice and resistant road surface when done properly. Leaving tar floating around didn't seem that smart, though. That is a nightmare to clean.
Yine harika bir görsel şölen olmuş....🎉 Teşekkürler...❤
Turkey is just so much more interesting than we ever knew. Thanks Itchy for showing us yet another part of the world we should have checked out. We are pleased to hear Frankie the Yammie working away - sounds good - nice exhaust note.
Noraly my wife and I have been watching your channel for 2 years now; once we found it we started from the beginning to now being current. We have to say that we miss not seeing more of the villages/ towns you go to and we also enjoyed seeing the meals you are served. I know you still show some just appears not as much as in past videos. Still really enjoy your adventures. Stay safe and keep them coming.
I'm watching all of your videos especially the Turkey part because I'm taking notes these places for visit :).
I had no idea that Türkiye was so stunningly beautiful.
This is just 1-2 pages of a huge Encyclopedia:)

I am wondering how you always manage to find those nice roads and surprise us every time. I love it
Once again, you are taking us an amazing adventure in another beautiful part of the world. Thank you
The aerial views add a terrific dimension to your videos.
Thx once again for taking us along. Just think back to the roads in Africa. getting worse day by day. Turkey doing a great job
Gorgeous views and I’m sure camera doesn’t do just to how beautiful it is out there. We appreciate your drone footage it makes us see different views
I love the passage that you show us in your videos. Also, I love how you describe it ."I am at the top of the world.

I just being sorry about those "lovely new asphalt" road, most probably not planned, and worked propetly by our "lovely contractors" as happened most of the time.
But hopefully those roads will be better next year, thanks to your broacast.
Amazing... amazing, loved the drone shots and the music...felt so special to be able to see this video of an area of Turkey that I wold never see as a tourist there. Thanks as always for sharing. Looking forward to the next day!

I think she could drive in circles on the Aldi parking lot in Castrop-Rauxel (Germany^^), we're in!😂

Her absence has also contributed to us watching her every move I guess
That's called a chip seal. It's the old way of paving roads generally there would be more stone on top so only a little bleeds through but some still do it heavy and let it soak in. Here in Kansas this is still done a lot always makes me mad to get it on my 100k truck and then I have to clean it off. Luckily diesel or WD-40 takes it off pretty easy but then needs to be de greased.
The drone shots are absolutely amazing. Really shows the beauty of the countryside.
Life is incredible. Noraly's passion and YT technology enables me to enjoy her adventures with my Ipad while in bed, before i fall asleep, in my home in Montreal. I am so grateful. Thank you Noraly.
