R1Liz - 2025 Plans
Outlining plans for the channel for 2025 now that I’m going back to a full time job.
Last year I announced that I had quit my job to try and make it as a full time content creator leaning into my side hustle as an artist to support me financially while I went on big trips to try and grow my channel. Sadly despite my efforts my art business has been in steady decline and the channel isn’t growing fast enough to make up for it, so before I run out of money and the whole thing stops being fun I have gone back to work.
It’s been an amazing year and I’ve done everything I said I’d do, had a lot of fun with a lot of bikes and dragged you all along with me via two videos every week. I’m looking forward to 2025 for fresh reasons. I’m excited to go into work on Thursday to get stuck in, filling the Liz shaped hole in the office. It’s the same company, same role, they’ve missed me, I’ve missed them - the stars have aligned.
I’m still going to be making videos, I enjoy them very much so as long as I can I’ll be putting up 2 videos a week - or at the very least a Sunday video. I have loads of things planned for 2025, weekend and evening activities and a week away a few times. Suggestions for a September mini-adventure are welcomed! I’m thinking Spain-Portugal. A warm country - as a treat.
I am weirdly excited for summer but growingly aware that I have to get through the Dragon Rally before I can acknowledge it. I really hate Spring Time but it does produce some good content, if you’re going I’ll see you there! I’m tempted to take Svarty this time.
Since my art business is on a downward spiral after nearly 10 years, I’m feeling fairly good about shelving it. It’s had its time. I’ll still make and sell stickers because the whole process makes me so happy, and although custom artwork is still available through my website I’m no longer pushing it. My UA-cam following won’t notice this because this is the only platform of mine where I wasn’t advertising it, and I quite liked that.
I’ve joined a gym, nearly 4 years after badly breaking my leg I am getting through the pain to build strength so I can try harder and be less fearful with my off-road riding. I used to like running and I haven’t been able to, if I can do a 30 minute 5k in 2025 I’ll be over the moon.
Pinky isn’t going anywhere but she gets a break, and, maybe in a few years when I’ve scraped some money together and done some real actual planning, a bigger and stupider adventure.

R1Liz - Pinky Update (Arctic to Alpine S1000RR Aventure - last bit)
Переглядів 3,1 тис.14 днів тому
Late update! Sadly no footage from the last part of my adventure, I thought I could get to the ferry in 12 hours from the house in southern Germany, managed 550 miles out of about 650 before admitting defeat and finding a place in France to stay for just 6 hours before jumping back on the bike to get the early ferry back to England. I could have enjoyed my last few days, looked for good roads a...
R1Liz - Salisbury Plain Slow Wobble with Benelli Leoncino 800 Trail
Переглядів 2,1 тис.21 день тому
I’ve been itching to get back to Salisbury Plain and the Leoncino had the appearance and personality of a bike that would really enjoy some gravel. Unfortunately it’s stuck with me at the moment and although I too enjoy some gravel it has to be bone dry or I’m out. For some reason, even after a beautiful dry December week, the plains were soaked. I gave it my best shot but I’m very aware of my ...

R1Liz - So Many Hairpins in Slovenia (Arctic to Alpine S1000RR Adventure - Part 21)
Переглядів 14 тис.Місяць тому
After a much needed day off in Slovenia to recharge and fill up on cheese and pasta, I am heading home! But first I get to enjoy Slovenia, a beautiful country that so far has only provided good experiences. I know about the Vrsic pass from back in June when I rode to it with the Can Am F3S and so I was happy to use it to get to Austria. I didn’t zoom in on the map enough to find out that it’s c...
R1Liz - A big old mess tbh (Arctic to Alpine S1000RR Adventure Part 20)
Переглядів 3 тис.Місяць тому
Not my best creation which is a huge shame, here's a summary of my messy day going from Bosnia to Slovenia via the Croatian coast. I’d already decided that I was heading home, but I was in a rush to get out of Bosnia and back to where my phone worked again - having no way of contacting anyone or checking anything was a huge problem for me so my priority was to get to the border without anything...
R1Liz - Bosnia & Herzegovina (Arctic to Alpine S1000RR Adventure Part 19)
Переглядів 5 тис.Місяць тому
Coming into Bosnia was a last minute decision. I was planning to turn around in Slovenia and head north via Italy, but I have been eyeing up all the wiggly roads on the maps app in Bosnia and at 7am this morning I decided to go for it, I found a very cheap place in the mountains and off I went, south into the heart of the country. I didn’t realise my phone company had cut me off until it was to...
R1Liz - Slovakia to Hungary to Slovenia (Arctic to Alpine S1000RR Adventure Part 18)

A long day to get to Slovenia through Hungary. I was looking forward to Hungary but on Air BnB I couldn’t find a cheap place to stay that was suitable and on a route I needed and so unfortunately I mostly just shot through it, maybe one to do properly in the future. Slovenia emerged from the flat horizon, a landscape of huge green hills and finally it was time for the RR to have some fun. Unfor...

Slovakia! This was originally going to be a quick cut through because I was hoping to go to Romania - unfortunately this has to be saved for another adventure, but it means I can do the length of Slovakia and enjoy it fully. Mountains were the perfect welcome into this beautiful country, but I’m disappointed I didn’t see any bears. The dumplings soothed my sore throat, cleared my head and had a...
R1Liz - Tourists in Kraków (Arctic to Alpine S1000RR Adventure - Part 16)
Переглядів 3,4 тис.Місяць тому
After a rubbish few days I’m so relieved to be in Krakow and finally getting my tyres sorted. I’m still sick but I can feel it fizzling out, it’s just a shame I had lower energy levels for a day out in Krakow. I normally avoid cities but I’ve heard positive things about this one and knowing my bike is safe in the hands of a nice posh BMW shop I was happy to go exploring. Now Pinky has new tyres...
R1Liz - Pit stop in Poland (Arctic to Alpine S1000RR Adventure Part 15)
Переглядів 3 тис.Місяць тому
Update for everyone enjoying the day-to-day videos from this trip (no riding footage here - sorry!) I got sick! Aghhh. The stars have sort of aligned and although I’m unwell I’m also hanging around waiting for a tyre delivery, so it’s no huge loss. It’d be nice to explore the area and maybe see further east but I’ve decided to stay put and spend a day in bed in the hope that forced rest will ma...

Poland! I’ve been excited about Poland, it’s huge, it’s different, I’ve heard excellent things about their hospitality and kind people. Similarly to France and Germany there will be a gradual shift in architecture and scenery as I go south and I’m looking forward to noticing all the subtle changes on my way down. My priority unfortunately is to get tyres, maybe I should have paid €600 in Finlan...
R1Liz - Latvia to Lithuania (Arctic to Alpine S1000RR Adventure Part 13)
Переглядів 13 тис.Місяць тому
Heading south into Lithuania, my mood is being carried by the autumn colours that are obviously so loved out here. I am getting a bit fed up with the local drivers - since I came east I’m getting overtaken constantly! I’m a fast bike and an ok rider, but I respect the speed limits (at least most of the time) - to get aggressively tail gated by a gigantic lorry is wild to me, should I speed up a...

Best wishes for 2025 ! XXX
👋👍
Have a great 2025. See you at ABR.
Enjoying your videos as I found your channel recently. What sort of Mic you are using with the Ace Pro?
Just treated myself to this setup - the way the helmet and Sena system are designed to fit was the deal clincher and all works well with my music and Calimoto navigation 👍
Happy new year! I think short form video's with little trips away turn out great. I'm thinking the subscribers here can all cheer and make noise when you are at ABR speaking! and I'm sure other vloggers will show their support for you as well when you are speaking! 🙂Just one video suggestion, maybe an updated video on your moto vlogging setup? (how is the insta fairing?) Anyway, all the best to 2025!
Happy New Year. Thank you for the videos over the last year, good luck for your future plans.
Happy new year to everyone ✌️
Happy new year. Hope 2025 is a great one.
Happy New Year all the best on your new job. ❤❤
Shame you got to go back to a full-time job, but keep doing what and when you can. Cracking vlogs, I'm intrigued to know which bike you prefer the GT or the GX seeing how you have rode them both, GX seamed a little tall for my short legs (29") but looked better suspension set up etc.. take care, stay safe, and see you at ABR. Have a Happy New Year 🥂🏍👌👍
Aw, no big trips??? & a proper job again??? You’re such an inspiration to me- I’ll miss the adventures over many episodes ❤
Why don't you buy a classic bike! Classic bike for classic girl! 😂 A bike without electronics with a few oil leaks to sort and the satisfaction of a bit of chrome to polish!
hi luv!!! 👋😘 heres t0 a grrrrrreat 2025!!! 🖖🌝🖖
hi gx!!! 👋🌝
Happy New Year Liz!
If you had the money would you replace pinky with GX.love your channel.😊
Liz the bike fixer! Practice makes perfect you got the tools just start trying small things like the chain and work up from that :)
How's this for a coincidence, I was born and grew up in the Portsmouth area, then I moved to Somerset where I currently still live, I also own a 2024 BMW S1000R, I frequently take a ride back to the Portsmouth area and Hayling Island, might bump into you on the A303 one day, lol. Happy New Year Liz🥰
Did I see you on the 303 today bc there was an R going up the hill towards Starbucks
@@R1_Liz 👀
@@R1_Liz No wasn't me, I was out and about the Burnham On Sea area yesterday.
Maybe get an old KTM 690 Enduro R. Great fun, can do green lanes and easy to learn how to do maintenance on.
Buy suzuki gsx750 (or 1200) inazuma 98-04 .. very nice bike to drive and easy to repair.
What did the big torque wrench say to the little torque wrench? We've clicked 😀
BMW S1000XR vs this Suzuki would be interesting. And Godt nytt år! 🥂
Liz, whatever comments are made on your projected persona or demeanour are only observations. Be yourself. It’s worked to bring you the substantial following, and is the reason I enjoy your videos. I wish you for 2025, everything you’d wish for yourself. 🛖
All the best for 2025 Liz, really enjoyed binge watching your channel, loving your sense of humour too… Think you should try and get out on a proper sport touring bit of kit as in, a H2SXSE…. I’ve been all over Europe two up on mine, never missed a beat and had zero issues in the 4+ years of ownership. Also looking forward to seeing you do some of your own maintenance too. Really helps if you know the basics👌🏽
great wee video Liz, 💐👍, you go girl 😃💐, have a great old year night down there, and have a great new year to, I'm looking forward for your next video, and please remember a little preparation may help for your talk event, 🏍️👍, keep it going Liz, have a great one,🏍️🏍️🏴😎👍
Tools I love tools we want to see what you got in your new set before they get all greasy. My travel plan this year has changed a bit so I might even make ABR weekend then go directly from there to BMW motorrad days in Germany.
Another great vid Liz. Excited for the year ahead. Great that you have a palatable plan B … and there’s still so much more of the UK to explore. (Available for both public speaking and mechanical engineering tips 😊) HNY
cheers Liz,💐👍, Xmas was great 😃, have a great old year night down there 🥃👍, and a happy New year, looking forward for your next year's videos, 💐🏍️🏍️🏴😎👍
Nice update, thank you. The GX seems to be a bit unloved by most, but I really liked it. Learning to mechanic a bit and learning to off road better are both really good goals, I'm aiming to off road a bit more myself, but I also can't afford the lessons - well, I'm not willing to pay that much anyway. So, I'll have to learn as I go like you. Happy New Year, and I'll look forward to seeing more of you in 2025
Best wishes for 2025, Liz. Hope the new/old job treats you well. Might come to ABR again but still way too many people for my liking. If I do I will be Schrödinger's onlooker and will be at your talk and also simultaneously not be at your talk.
2vids a week is really hard work? 1vid is enough! Or you can burn out ? But mostly just enjoy it! Happy New Year and looking forward to great biking season!!
Sounds a great plan, I look forward to more adventures while you im sure plan the next big ones, wishing you a fab 2025
hi Liz, getting forward for adventure in 2025. i would like to see the hidden united kingdom especially the villages. i wish a happy new year. oh yes , it would be nice if could share you talks in the youtube....bye see you next year. love from malaysia.
I wish you a happy new year.🙂
You could consider a second hand RE Meteor of Himi/Scram as they are a basic engine to start with. If not look for Can N on auction sites or Autocar etc. They are vehicles that have had small damages to them for what ever reason.
The Can-Am -Ryker videos was a good series, that would be interesting topic to listen to. You have so many interesting stories, stored in your video collection for people who are not aware of your content to talk about. I'm sure you will be fine on stage. Looking forward to your 2025 content.
