So grateful for your channel! I used your Personal Profile tips to help me get into UBC about a week ago and now I'm watching the others to better understand life at uni! At this point your channel might as well be called UBC 101 😂
I have 6 subjects too in Nursing 🙏😭 needed this. I am freaking out w/ Microbiology, A&P 1&2, Pharmacology , MT, Nutrition, now thinking of adding up Pathophysiology so help me GOD. Thank you 🙏
Hey! It would be super helpful if you explained in more detail of how you do the learning goals part, or maybe give an example of how you use them. I'm assuming you're talking about learning goals from the syllabus and I feel like I would have no idea where to start with that!!
If you mean in class materials, sometimes yes sometimes no... it depends on the prof but for the most part they are usually posted before for students to use in class!
hellos :) can you maybe do like a study along with me, where you just show us how you phrase those learning goals and how you skim through notes :) thank you :)
In the last section of the "Additional Information" part of my application, it shows a box where I can fill in additional comments (maximum 2000 characters), but it is optional. I just want to know if the Additional Comments part in "Additional Information" is something I should fill in
It says it's optional so you don't have to. I know that's not what you're getting at though... UBC doesn't hold you to whether or not you fill it in. I didn't fill it in and look at me haha! If you have something you want to share that you didn't have a chance to before this is where to do it.
Hello Maddy! I came across your YT channel and it’s really helpful for those who dream of going to UBC . I’m planning on applying at UBC for masters in Human Nutrition and wanted to know how the facility over there is like and also the work load. I’m from India with an average GPA of 9.4 out of 10 currently pursuing my masters in Foods , Nutrition and Dietetics. I was keen on doing another masters in Human nutrition because it’s in depth and it interests me.
Hi Kate! I, unfortunately, don't know all too much about the Human Nutrition program. It certainly sounds like you know what you are passionate about so let your interest guide you! Best of luck to you :)
Maddy are you back to taking 6 courses now!?!? I thought you've dropped down to four. I did 5 and I've almost lost my mind. But regardless, I'll try your tips thank you!
Learning goals/objectives are essentially what your teacher wants you to learn and expects you to understand by the end of the school year. Its just a list of all the key concepts and ideas you are taught.
I was taking 6 classes during this term. Classes run 2 times (Tues/Thurs) or 3 times (Mon/Wed/Fri) per week. I can't quite remember how many I had in a week but it was enough haha
This video came just in time for me! I have a super packed schedule next term, so I definitely need to step up my efficiency and study habits!!🥺

And then there's me... flailing through my 5 courses :P At least I have a planner!
That’s gonna be me this term haha 😆
This is my goal for next semester.

Thanks for the idea! I will hopefully be coming out with a studying video soon! Final season is upon us so it is the perfect time!!
Thanks for posting all these helpful videos! I just have one question. Do you have access to the powerpoint beforehand?

Maddy how many hours did you study at college and how many hours did you study each subject at home? on the same day

I searched through various corse options but are there any other that you would recommend that would add value to my existing degree. Thank you❤️
