dont be hard on yourself take breaks , concenrtate , motivate yourself you should be okies xxx espscially if you have adhd , auutism or depression even
You're right about the mentality. Im aware of the excuses and belittleing about myself, but I dont stop it. I always thought I was average, and that could be true because of the mindset I have over myself. I always wished I was the smart kid who understood anything and that my parents should have been stricter with me so I could have been more of an academic at a young age. I think now I could just motivate myself and be delusional in a way.
Wow. As a senior in high school that never had enough confidence in school and am now just building up to become a academic weapon, these are some great tips. You’re very well spoken!
I never knew how much i needed this. Im in the eighth grade and my grades have drastically dropped after hanging out with the wrong crowd in seventh grade. Now I've distanced myself from the wrong people and im trying to get back on my feet. I used to have all 98s or 97s but i went to a 75 in seventh grade. Thank you for this reality check.
(study guide) im so appreciative for this video! im in my first semester of college after taking a gap year. during highschool, as long as a graduated i was content- but i was always so jealous of those who had school come “easy” to them. over my gap year i learned so much and my desire to go back to school grew so strong. i realized excelling grades rarely come easy to people, and these people devote so much time to their studies. i’m working harder than ever and only wish to keep going.
'Study guide'. Gurl my final grade 12 exams start in 15 days (im from South Africa) and i havent been that productive but i know 15 days is enough to make a difference and i will start making that difference today. I am already a relatively good learner my highest overall average this year being 91% but i know i can do better so im gonna trust you and follow your tips so i can blow these final exams out of the park! My aim for final exams overall average is +95% and i WILL achieve it no matter what. I will be back to update when i get my results on the 16th of January 2025!. Wish me luck everyone!!☆

'Study Guide' thanks a lot sis I'm in 9th grade and my friend who once used to score 98% in the exams now scores 75% because she stopped studying during lockdown and now we both are trying really hard together to improve her grades she cries a lot whenever she sees bad grades because she isn't used to them...we also watched a lot of study tips videos but they all just made us more confused...but I think this video has everything and it is the only videe we needed so I'm gonna share it with her and I just hope she can improve and reclaim her old grades❤ Thanks again
@@stwudy Yeah i too said this to her first but she really regrets it and wants to improve.....and after all we were just 10 and 11 years old in those 2 years so she was immature
This was one of the biggest reality checks of my life, I have lots of academic goals but i struggle with lots of things because I’m quite young and tbh i struggle with productivity 💀, but it’s always good to remember that you can get anything you work for. 💕
(study guide) I'm 14 and this made me realize how much time i waste talking down myself. in the country I'm in, grade 9 exams are really important, and I've been sitting lazily and telling myself I'm dumb and don't deserve to pass, so i never study. and now I'm really determined to prove myself wrong! this year has been so bad, and I'm only making it worse by not giving myself a reason to try and make the year good. I'm done being a snob and sitting and crying to myself. I'm going to put my brain to use now! exams are in November and if i remember about this I'll tell you how it goes! wish me luck, and good luck to all of you!
True, education is a privilege. Students in Gaza had their academic year end early in 2023 due to genocide. All they want to do is be able to go to school again and they haven’t been in soon in almost a year. Over 14,000 children have also been m^rdered.
STUDY GUIDE! Dude I feel bad about myself and good at the same time. I’m a freshman in highschool and I went from feeling lost to feeling really good and motivated. I absolutely hate it when teachers say grades don’t define you because they definitely do. I’m gonna go make a ton of study guides now!
Good luck!! You got this 🥰 and remember that grades definitely don't define all of you! There's a lot more to life but it's good that you value your academics :)
(study guide) thank you so much for this video! i really needed this video, i was an average (A - B) student, but day by day, i got lazier and stopped studying and eventually started failing my classes. i've realized my weakness and i will start my journey from today. thank you so much once again, and your channel and your tips are incredibly helpful.
I'm truly motivated! Literally cried because everything you said spoke to me. You're someone I aspire to be like. I've never been bombarded with so many wake-up calls! STUDY GUIDE
Study guide! Thank you for sharing all of this, I was already felling motivated from the firsts few minutes but when you said "and just by watching this video till the end I know you're motivated" you fully made feel that I can do better this school year! 💕

Hi Helaine!!!❤ I am a senior high school student from INDIA🇮🇳 I absolutely love love love your videos sooo much They make me realize more about how much I still need to improve Will always be supportive and let's make this year the best ❤ Much love from 🇮🇳
Hey Helaine! I am a freshman in high school, and I really want you to answer my query. I really wish to get into writing and literature, but don't know WHERE to start! I want to be able to write one or two novels, by the end of high school, just like you, but there's is just a TON of academic burden on me. Could you PLEASE tell me how you crunched your time to be able to write so much, how much you were able to write each year of high school, how you improved your writing skills, and on what platform were you able to monetize your books. Please let me know! Your reply would mean everything!
Yes writing is definitely hard to balance with school. I started during the pandemic so I was stuck at home and had more time to write a lot. After in-person school resumed again, I was staying up late often to write at night and I would write anywhere from 1,000 to 3,000 words a day to upload daily. i think it is most important to get your ideas down on paper and not think too much. you can always come back and edit later! hope this helps :) good luck!
hey, im also writing a novel while also going to school, and I like to just write in the evening after dinner or after school when I don’t have a ton of homework or stuff to do. otherwise I’ll just write around the holidays, etc. but try to find out if you like to write in the morning, evening, etc, that could be helpful cuz you could also get up earlier to write if you’d want to. hope this helped

Just in time, studying never has been a problem for me but I kinda get stressed very easily at exams weeks so this video is very helpfull to me, thank you a lot! (Study guide)
Sis I really don't know how to just thank you?! I'm gonna ace my exams surely!!💗 where have you been these years... you're the most needed thing I wanted these years♡ Luv you Sis 💗🎀
lately i've taken a test and i didn't do well because i was lacking a lot fondamentale things, and so after realising that, i started to review everything and i have been making time for self studying, this video taught me a lot since i'm really trying to score good on my national exam, so now i understand that it is not late to start now, and stop lying to yourself even if you lack really simple things, it's better than someone who's taking their grades for granted, so do that thing you've been procrastinating and become what you aim to be
Thank you for this video, im super nervous to start sophomore year because I feel like I completely wasted my freshman year. I got low grades and bad attendance. Hoping to skyrocket this year though!!
I work long hours over night and I’m doing better with making time in my schedule to study. But yes I do be tired I get 4 hours of sleep most days 🙃 but I study at work or after class you really have to MAKE time
Thank you for the vid. We never learned study tips or learning strategies back in school. Learning them now during university studies on a mission to increase my grade.
youre definitely smarter than the average person, loved your stats video, keep going. Just a question, during school when did you generally go to sleep and how did you ever find the time to do extracurriculars?? Thanks so much
thank you for these helpful tips I've been a little bit stressed bc I'm entering my first year of university your video has introduced me to many helpful tips that I'm going to incorporate into my studies!!
Depends! During junior or senior year, it was lots of piano practice, studying, going to piano lesson, and other activities. But definitely also take time to rest :)
Im currently studying for a final of Anatomy, i'm a vet student from Costa Rica, even tho i already know this tips, i like to see this kind videos to continue motivated, something that have help me a lot to preparated for test, exams, quiz, etc is to ask my seniors if they can sent me their old exams, that gives you some sort of idea of what your professor considers more important of all the topics and how they formule the questions☺️Study guide
I want to study but overthinking and anxiety is a big problem and I even don't know how to stop this and get back to the studying..I make normal things a huge mess by overthinking that much. I used to be a higher achiever but now I am fully ruined
Overthinking is very hard but you can try the 3-minute rule. Just say I will only do this for 3 minutes. If it doesn't go out as I like, then stop. Usually, you will keep going and the task won't be as hard as you thought :)
When I am struggling to start studying, or even when I am attempting to and everything is going wrong, I try to take a step back and examine my reaction. There are 4 main reactionaries, fight, flight, freeze, and fawn. Once you assess which you are experiencing, it can be easier, in my opinion, to guide yourself to a better outcome. Personally, I most often experience freeze, often categorized as procrastination. So when I acknowledge my response, I can use the higher levels of thinking we as a species have developed, to override that natural response. Sorry this was long, but it might be helpful to look into this method.
you called me out in this video more than ten times well THANK YOU. no but really this video is so helpful actually its like a cold water bucket on your head. youre so real thank you!!!

Ask questions Ask teacher, classmate, or internet 3. Do practice exams If you don’t do them, your waking into the test blind Learning question structure Get a feel of how much time you have Khan academy Test taking tricks: 1. Know what will show up on the exam and what won’t Focus on what the teacher emphasizes “Everything you need to know is available for you. You just need to know how to look for it.” 2. How to guess effectively Pick a consistent letter for the questions you don’t know Use process of elimination Avoid blind guessing Night before exam: 1. Get sleep Sleep early, wake up early 2. Review Review the big picture 3. Eat Not too much sugar or carbs Drink water Mindset: “Your thoughts and reality determine your success” 1. Your grades do matter They show your discipline It’s never too late to fix laziness NO ONE CAN CHANGE YOU BUT YOURSELF There are so many beautiful possibilities in life. Start now.
Study guide ❤ btw Helaine, did you know you are gifted? Discipline, perseverance, and good time management skills are skills people develop when they are older, if at all. Yet you are young, and you are already like this. Looking forward to more achievements by you & thanks for motivating me. Sincerely, a muslim girl

study guide girl tysm!! i just started sophmore year and after a disappointing freshman yr (gpa went from 4.1 to 3.7), i'm trying to get back on track!
Thank you so much for this. I've had most of my first and second year of High School wasted and I'm currently at 12th grade switching schools and trying to catch up on high school Sciences because my old school had inadequate teachers and a terrible learning system. Recently I've started understanding that school is much more than cramming to pass an exam but actually learning these amazing things about life and our world. Being able to apply it in medical school as a dermatologist is one of my dreams and I'm glad that I'm now able to see things in a different way and thank you so much for this motivational and educational video❤❤ I'm looking forward to using the 8-9 months that I have left to catch up on the most I can and make my final exams worth it❤

lately i've taken a test and i didn't do well because i was lacking a lot fondamentale things, and so after realising that, i started to review everything and i have been making time for self studying, this video taught me a lot since i'm really trying to score good on my national exam, so now i understand that it is not late to start now, and stop lying to yourself even if you lack really simple things, it's better than someone who's taking their grades for granted, so do that thing you've been procrastinating and become what you aim to be
You got this!! Best of luck
Thank you for this video, im super nervous to start sophomore year because I feel like I completely wasted my freshman year. I got low grades and bad attendance. Hoping to skyrocket this year though!!

Good luck!!

Hello hello! In one of your videos, you mentioned you wrote books. Can you teach us how to brainstorm and outline a fiction story? If not, it's okay. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. I truly appreciate the time and all for doing this for us. ❤😊
Oh that's an interesting suggestion! Usually the ideas come to me at random moments and I am a huge plotter so i like to plan my story from start to finish :)

@@HelaineZhao oh my god helaine love you thanks for noticing me YOU ARE MY IDEAL
Being able to apply it in medical school as a dermatologist is one of my dreams and I'm glad that I'm now able to see things in a different way and thank you so much for this motivational and educational video❤❤
I'm looking forward to using the 8-9 months that I have left to catch up on the most I can and make my final exams worth it❤
You got this! Best of luck
