However there is a period of downtime every year, when likes to return back home, train a lot & catch up with those who have been standing beside him ever since he pedalled the bike for the first time. Follow Richie as he takes his time to catch a lap with his dad, visits the Yeti Cycles HQ, gets his bike dialled & takes it for a spin.

Hey now, yes Jack is the 2021 EWS Champion, and well deserved, but Richie has been before and as such can be called champion forevermore, at any time and by anyone, just as Jack now can. There's nothing in this video that says otherwise.
There’s a difference between “The” EWS Champion and “An” EWS champion. “The” means current. Very misleading title and pretty disappointing from Redbull.
I saw Red Bull & Enduro on the notifications and almost expected Bolts & Mani.......... though Richie ain't bad either...

Not really his “downtime” though is it. He’s performing for sponsors to give the exact impression they want perceived. So kind of the exact opposite.
No such thing as downtime when you’re following your passion. If people started focusing on what makes them happy the money will follow, if you worry about money all the time you’ll be nothing!
