Very helpful video that's right on point, no superfluous "jokes", memes or click bait; just a clear explanation. Thank you for this.
Glad it helped 👍
It is the most adequate tut for camera follow path animation. 2 things resolved my issue with this technique thanks to your tutorial: 1. Increasing curve path resolution up to 64 and 2) applying all transform for the camera. Thanks a lot for details!
Glad it helped with a camera follow path in Blender, thanks for sharing what worked for you with everyone 👍
This is super helpful. Thank you so much!

@@devmandora Reset the location of the camera. Do it by pressing Alt + G (Windows) or Option + G (in Mac or other Apple computers)
@@unknown90000 make a wave-like path it will look like walking
Top tier tutorial tbh

I can not figure this out 😢 Mannn i did everthing the camera follows the path perfectly, i insert the keyframes, i move the camera, insert another keyframe with the new position but it just does not follow when i play it back. Please help me out i've been stuck on this for 3 weeks already. great tutorial but it just does not seem to work for me
You're saying the camera follows the path as it should if you scrub the timeline, but it doesn't if you press play?
Double check to make sure the keyframes are set and have different values, often when I'm in a hurry, I forget to set the keyframe after moving the object to the new position
The guy has made a very professional tutorial but Blender does seem to make a lot of hard work of it. Quite often I purchase plugins to make these kind of tasks simpler. Life is too short. But well done to the instructor.
Yes, plugins or add-ons for Blender are great. Any blender addons for camera path following in blender that you recommend?
Thanks😉
Welcome 👍
Great video. How can you make the camera follow the path in the opposite direction?
To make the camera go in the other direction, reverse the key frame values
@@WhatMakeArt what about if you’re using the animate path function and not keyframes?
To reverse the direction you need to keyframe the valuation time and make it start with negative one and then go to zero instead of from 1 to 0
When I select the camera and shft+s -> Selection to cursor then my camera jumped very far away from the path. I am using blender 4.0. Any idea?
Double check that the cursor was at the point on the path where the blue arrow points
@@WhatMakeArt Thanks for the reply. I figured it out later. The problem was my camera object had some location info in it. And when I was adding the camera using shift+s -> Selection to cursor, that location info was being added too. And hence the distance. The solution was to presse alt+G when my camera was selected. It reset all location information. And then the rest worked well.
Yes, if the camera has non zero location information it will be offset, glad you figured it out and thanks for sharing your solution with everyone
@@evenflair6453 bro thank you sooo much 😭

I did exactly what was said in the video but my camera is not following the path when the video is played (haven’t added a key frame yet) how come it will not follow the path despite having a constraint ?
Was the origin of the camera at the right end of the the path?
hi, i followed your tutorial, but why is my camera is move too far from the area when i clicked on follow path? pls help:(
Make sure the origin of the camera is in the right spot at the start of the path that it needs to follow
when i try to put the camera onto the path using shift s my camera is like in the middle of nowhere far away and i cant figure it out
Did you apply all transformations with control C first? Is the origin of the camera at the proper point of path before joining?
@@WhatMakeArt I'm facing the same problem :/
my camera wont move when i play with the offset, everything else worked besides the last step for me lol, im using version 4.1.1
Did you make sure that the origin of the camera is at the path? Did you reset transformations if you moved anything?
@@WhatMakeArt OMG I FIGURED IT OUT!! i had to make the camera XYZ locations all to 0 and then the offset started working perfectly! lol rookie mistake but i solved it alone:)
Why follow path target not is shown for me?
Which steps were you able to complete? Did you apply the correct modifier? Are you an edit mode or object mode?
@@WhatMakeArt I fixed bro thanks
I used mesh circle instead of curve so only it's not worked
@bazz9097 try converting to a curve or using a curve
my camera isnt locking to the path?
What is the camera doing?
Why do they make this so overly complicated.
Animation can be complicated
