The amount of incredible content here is un-matched. People have no idea how useful this stuff is. Incredible work!
thank you so much man!
I subscribed for 1 year , best investment i have ever made
🐔 Hi guys, I've tried a bit different video tutorial type / format this time. Do you like content served this way? If you have any comments / thoughts you'd like to share about it, feel free to do so! I had a ton of fun making this video tbh!
yes! its visually pleasing 👍☺️
It's great!
Thank you, yes I like this format and I learnt stuff...
Your content is great, there's always something new to learn, and everything here is practically helpful 🔥
It's great
I always had issue with rotating the camera track to constraint, I used to remove the constraint and then rotate it and after watching this video adding the copy rotation constraint just makes complete sense, I will be using this from now.
this was really some cool tricks, ive never really thought about using constraints to camera, i will definetly use this
Thank youuu!!! Lovely tutorial! So unique and helpful
thank you so much for this video. So informative & straight forward
They actually have a built in addon called Camera Rigs that has an armature setup that's stupid easy to use, and all you'd need to do is set a constraint on the target bone.
I haven't tried the crane one yet but the dolly does essentially what your setup does.
I've used the crane one and its just as easy to use as the dolly! Highly recommend either aswell :)
This Video Was So Helpful For Me...
Great tips! In previs we avoided using the target camera as much as possible. It makes the rotational movement feel artificial because a camera man is never perfectly locked onto a target. Instead, he reacts to motion. That being said, a target camera can be a lifesaver for complicated motion, but be sure to fake some delayed rotational animation or put some realistic wobble on the rotations at the very least.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts :-) maybe I'll make a short camera shake video later
needed this thanks
Thank you, that helped a lot 👍🏻
I've been searching for usable camera animation info like this, thank you
No problem! thank you 😇
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing.
Interestingly, I was planning to do a Camera action tutorial at some point.
But you did it way better than I ever could.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks! That is cool.
best and quickest guide, thanx
thank you man!
Extremely helpful!! Thank you very much for the tricks!!
Happy to help! 😇

I just have to say, i've been doing 3D as hobby for ten years now. Have given up many times over due to lack of motivation and not really going the extra mile to create my portfolio. I'd really like to get back on track and get in the game so to speak. I remember seeing your work years ago and would come back to your website from time to time. If i do decide to go back into this, i'll be purchasing your course, no brainer. Also, just a suggestion. If you could incorporate into this channel more about materials, and lighting.
Amazing work
Thanks a lot 😊
As always FIRST class tutorial
Cheers

Thanks man :-)
Chocofur confirms itself once again one of the MVP of Blender tutorials.
dang, thanks for a comment like that! Nothing motivates more to keep going!
@@Chocofur I've followed your content for years, it introduced me to the 3D world and now (even if in another branch) I work full time as a Freelancer in 3D.
I still remember studying your materials before PBR materials become the norm, I'm always happy to see new stuff from you, keep it up!
@@dissonantmind 🤯I never realized anyone still remembers these old tutorials, not to mention it could have been anyone's introduction to 3D. thanks again man, that's a real eye opener for me.
I'm thinking where should I take this channel in the future and I'm really drawn more to Blender "how to freelance" type of videos, rather than software tutorials only. Would you, as someone who's been here a really long time, enjoy that type of content?
@@Chocofur It's a grea idea!
Personally I really like to hear the work experience of other people, especially Freelancers.
It's great for confronting my career path until now and I think it will be super useful also for who decided to start.
Compared to when I've started there are a lot more informations about Blender as a software now but I still see also a lot of misinformation on how use it in the industry or be professional with it (or at least in fields I've worked, real-time/optimization/game related stuff and archviz).
@@dissonantmind thanks again for your input! I'll start slowly moving in that direction then 🙂
Awesome
Whoa🔥 That's a pretty easy way to get a good camera shot compared to UE5 and UNITY Blender is stepping up
Lech you are a Community Treasure! 🤩👍
thank you ☺doing my best!
Thanks!
No problem! 🐔
pleasing vid!!
the background guitar music ! ♬
nice thank you fo taking care of US
amazing video! how we can put a lil smooth in the movement? o.o
Awesome❤
thank you!
Cool 3:35 was new to me - Copy Rotation - Mix - After Original
Loved the little angry Joe moment there :D
glad someone liked it :D
What is the preferred way to keep the camera distance constant with the object while doing camera roll? Camera on path + path parented to object + camera target? Or something else?
Good question, I think personally I'd put camera on a separate path and use it to control the distance.
Nice pieces of advice. What are your computer specs?
Question: Is there an option to get the courses without purchasing the model packs?
Your transition make me thought I forgot to turn off the auto rotation of my phone
Also, if you want to make a perfect turnaround shot, you can parent the camera to an empty and rotate the empty ;)
I even did a video on that in the ancient times but the audio sucks: ua-cam.com/video/A1pAn1df-yQ/v-deo.html
you dont even need the empty to control the camera roll, you can just set damped track from world space to local space and when you rotating camera it will only rotate around its Z axis
bro is underrated af
thx man!
why dont we just select the object from the begining without adding the empty???
The same question
Woah :D
what da music played at 1:25?
this feels like someone explaining to an alien how to use a camera. like, all of this seems obvious.
I mean I found it pretty helpful I don’t really know what’s obvious about it but that’s just my opinion ig
Please make a video how to make comparison video like DATA INFO UA-cam channel
I dont even use blender, I use houdini and maya but i love your videos
Thanks, I really appreciate that!
Muy bueno, pero me gustaría que tuviera subtitulos en español
It’s easier in 3DS max, there are already physical, target and normal camera.
Eeeeeh, some of these are cheap tricks, but you should really use these when applicable. Just don't use a dolly zoom or a Dutch angle (rotating the camera) for any shot. They are meant for a different purpose and will quickly seem out of place.
Tip: if you do use the follow camera with empty, give the empty and/or the camera a bit of randomness or it will feel too smooth and unnatural. Also, you can just make the object that you want to follow the following object. Meaning, you don't need the empty, it is recommended if you want to do some extra animation to the following command. And you can always parent the empties location to the object you wish to follow as shown in the video.
Indeed it is a Pain in the african wild ass🤣
Three planes, not plans.
😬😬😬
Basically you need to study cinematography and incorporate those skills into 3d animation.
you mean a camera target?
why do i wanna drink a monster ?
my camera isn't rotating
You put so much work into your videos... but why?
because it's hard :>
ㅇ초ㅗ
bro cmon you could just retake video 1:52
Why do he look like hl2 npc😅
You skipped how to target the empty from the camera and still uploaded? What a waste of time.
