First of all, great Video bro! One thing tho- I used do my animations just like u describe in your second method, but I recently changed my workflow to one, that is a little bit more sophisticated and less painful to work with: It always really annoyed me that the offset of the follow path constraint is realative, not constant.. so every time i wanted to change/edit the path my camera is following, everything that’s somehow timing related breaks apart (timed/animated lights, camera focus empty etc.) .. which is especially painful the more complex your scene / animation has gotten. So what I do these days instead (and it only need one extra step) is to use a curve modifier instead of the follow path constraint. - but not on the camera itself (empties can’t use modifiers, only constraints) .. just use a small mesh circle to apply the curve modifier on. Then just parent the camera to the vertices of the mesh circle. You then just choose your deform axis like the offset from your typical follow path constraint. For simpler scenes the usual follow path constraint may be easier and faster to work with, but for more complex projects this adaptation really was game changing for me!
@@KwameGyanko after alignment you just move the object (that u have your camera patented to) along the axis that u have set as your deform axis on your curve modifier
I like setting planes that act as pathways I can walk on for creative shots, then using my shortcut for walk navigation (shift+f) then pressing G for gravity so I can just walk around that path I made
Also another way to smooth without messing with curves is to go to graph editor, press A and then Alt+O to auto smooth keyframes (you can clean and interpolate them as well if you are missing a lot of movement)
That's great way to keep it more grounded and based on a real shot! great trick! (I also use shift+f as a shotcut haha somehow the original doesent work for me)
@@imsethtwo I also use that from a polyfjord video but what I don't like is that once you did that it's really hard to change it again except if you delete all they keyframes and start over. But for a quick shot it works great!
I also like to use the VirtuCamera app/add on so I can control the virtual camera from my phone. Feels really nice for filming fly throughs. You can get a pretty rough or smooth feel depending on how much you smooth it out (there’s a slider on the app) and then you can add a “track to” constraint and track an empty or an object in your scene to have more control over your composition after if it wasn’t perfect.
I have not gone full blown animation, yet... I am still trying to hone my modeling skills... However, the tips in this video were helpful... Thanks for taking the time to share...
Great video. Good info. If you don't want to use add ons for the shake, just use a noise modifier on different axes. Ian Hubert covers that in his lazy tutorial series.
I wanted to make the camera to teleport, for example the cam is facing an Objekt from the front and 20 frames later it instandly switches to the back How do i do that ? And great video btw
the easiest way is to keyframe, go 19 frames forward and keyframe the same position and then go another frame forward to frame 20 and keyframe it from the other side. then it should jump from keyframe 19 to 20
Hey, I did that in after effects. I just used the bright parts of the render as a mask for a lense dirt over lay! Check this video for more: ua-cam.com/users/shorts8Kjj2Pek6TI
Hello, dear teacher, , I am one of your Afghan viewers. I had a question. I have a channel for statistical videos and I make my videos in Blender. When we get output, it is really annoying. My camera movement is not smoothly and we don't get views my videos. You should solve my problem, I am waiting for your answer!!!!
By looking at ur channel...1: u need better thumbnail design 2: u need to add good tags and description of the video (u can use chatgpt for this) 3: u need to improve the graphics of the statistical videos ( like lighting, colors etc)
Your first method would be simplier, smoother and more accurate if you parented your camera to an empty object like an empty sphere at the world origin instead of tweeking your keyframes.
@@flo0rin_ if you just need to have a nice rotation around your subject like you show in your example, you just need to keyframe the rotation of the empty object and you don't need to adjust some positions of the camera to get the result. So it's more precise and less random-ish
Bro you're too fast and I can't really keep up with you. I need your help that I need to add this good looking animation in unity. Please could make a tutorial about it and i am waiting for your reply.

How do you animate the mesh circle along the curve then?

Just want to throw it out there, There’s also apps out there that you can record and it tracks the keyframe as file you can then import into blender.
Great Input! I forgot to mention this method! Thank you

simple and easy, thanks!!

Great tip! But especially for more complex camera shake the addon is more natural and it’s also from ian hubert itself!
Really helpful man

how did you the first animination that rotateed perfecr on the subject without constraints added?
exactly as I showed in the video. Just a few key frames

Thanks bro
I want to know how you did that render edit!
what render edit do you mean?
thanks
Nice.
thanks a lot!!!
What about animating with different cameras to make it scenic
I just use different cameras and render them out separately and cut them together in the editing software
