Yes! This beautiful song was written by the great Willie Nelson and couldn’t have been sung more beautifully; Patsy Cline will always be a Queen ❤️ By the way, she’s wearing that headband because she has been in a very bad car accident and was covering the wound/scar
Willie hit a trifecta the week he wrote this song as he wrote it. "Crazy" was one of three gigantic hits he wrote that week including "Night Life", and "(Ain't It) Funny How Time Slips Away. That's a career for most songwriters, just another week for Willie.
Her voice was pitch perfect on every note. I don’t mean it was “close,” but it has been analyzed to show almost every note was exactly, perfectly where it was supposed to be. It is unheard of, even for the best singers.
Since she died so long ago, there isn't much actual live footage of film with her in it,so the photos are just stills of her life to give us something to emotionally connect with her.The song isn't really even a break-up song as much as it is a reflection on her bad judgement. This song could go either way for a man or woman to be singing it.It is the classic,'the heart wants what it wants' whether it is logical or not.
Amazing that was a little over 60 yrs ago! She had such a soulful voice. You’d probably like Loretta Lynn’s (they were best friends) “Coal miner’s Daughter”. It’s really good too!
I was a 10 yr old boy. Everyone on the farm and neighbor farms were in tears. 1963, I watched her on TV and heard on radio with parents. I didn't know what was going on.
Patsy Cline is one of the country royals. She layed the foundation for a lot of legendary female artists down to this day. Since many will spam the comments with her great songs, I would like to suggest another powerhouse female that also helped to lay that foundation. "Loretta Lynn - You Ain't Woman Enough (To Take My Man)" Patsy and Loretta were close friends. Patsy took Loretta under her wing and the two even toured together. It's been said that Patsy even leant Loretta her clothes when needed. Now that's true friendship! lol 😆 Both of these legends have an extensive collection and definitely a great rabbit hole (in my humble opinion)
My man, without a doubt, you just heard the best ever voice in country music. What Elvis' voice was to rock n roll, Patsy's voice was to country. And I dont care what anyone says. Not up for argument. Yep I went there, ha. Seriously though, Patsy was such a pure singer. Good gosh her tone and that deep alto resonance in her thick voice was untouchable and unmatchable. Sadly she died young and we will never know what she could have achieved. Still, she left enough songs to be considered a legend. I dont think the pictures are about the song. As a matter of fact, Patsy didnt like this song at first. Didnt want to record it. And didnt like the topic. But was convinced it would be a big hit. And the rest is history. It was a huge hit and one of the greatest country songs and performances ever recorded. This style with the strings and more classy less honky tonk sound was called "countrypolitan". Made famous by Chet Atkins (great legendary guitarist and producer) and singers such as Jim Reeves (check out some of his hits. Amazing voice also) Anyway, different style of country music. The song was written by Willie Nelson. And also on his album "Songs That Made Me Famous..." He sings it in every concert. Huge song. Check out Jim Reeves "He'll Have To Go" for the flip side of this situation.
Grew up with this older country music, my mom had a huge floor model am/fm radio- 8 track player- cassette player and record player stereo and every Sunday was her day to play her favorite artist and songs, this was one her favorites along with Kitty Wells's song "it wasn't God who made honky tonk angels" so many great songs from way, way back, my mom passed in 2003 and miss her terribly and whenever I hear these reminds me of her, thanks for your reactions to all these greats
Y'all thanks for reacting to the late great Patsy Cline . She was a huge country star , and has crossover appeal as well. Sadly she died at the age of 31 in a plant crash . Could you please react to one her most beautiful songs Sweet Dreams ? Her voice was one of the best in the music business
She was also in a serious car crash that left a huge scar on her forehead which she tried to hide. Love that woman and she was great friends with Loretta Lynn.
I really give you a lot of credit for being willing to go outside of your comfort zone and listening with an open mind and heart to a lot of different types of music. I've always loved Patsy Cline (and Willie Nelson, who wrote this song). On my side of things, I've been trying to go outside of my comfort zone and listen to more hiphop with an open mind lately. Thanks for this, hope you do more Patsy.
For someone whose life was so brief (she died in a plane crash two years after this at just 30) she was hugely influential because of her distinctive sound and keen interpretive ability. All her work is worth exploring but some of her best are-Sweet Dreams, I Fall to Pieces, Walkin' After Midnight and Leavin' on Your Mind.
You definitely have to listen to Patsy Cline's song "Blue". Really shows off her amazing voice and range! You won't be disappointed. You will be like "WTF"? You will listen to it again to make sure she was really singing it. She was one of the greatest singers of her time. Hence her being the first woman inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
I've never been a fan of country music... but Patsy was the first to open my mind to some of the country artists. I LOVE her voice... Sweet Dreams is one of the top ones to showcase her vocal abilities. I Fall to Pieces and Walkin' After Midnight are awesome too! Enjoy!
The backup singers, The Jordanaires, and the tinkling piano player, The Great Floyd Cramer (check out his instrumental song "Last Date"), also backed up a singer by the name of ELVIS.
Patsy Cline is from my hometown of Winchester Virginia and my mom went to school with her. I remember exactly where I was the day she died in the plane crash. We were out in the barn milking the cows and my grandmother came out to tell us about the plane crash and she had died 😢😢😢 My families burial plots are in the same cemetery as hers.
Experts agree - the most perfectly sung song in history. Though arguments could be made for Karen Carpenter "Rainy Days and Mondays", Gladys Knight "Neither One of Us", Cyndi Lauper "True Colors", Dobie Gray "Drift Away", Barry Manilow "When October Goes", Neil Sedaka "Breaking Up is Hard to Do (slow version)"...
Patsy's producer was in hospital and heard k d lang's cover of Patsy's Crazy and also Black Coffee and upon release got in touch with k d to produce her covering Patsy
I'm 29 and like this song lol. Won't jam it but will let it play out if it's on haha. Reminds me of chillin with my gramps at his land out here in the country part of Texas.
When she heard she got a record contract, she said the first thing she was going to do was buy a new refrigerator. The Loretta Lynne movie "Coalminers daughter" replicates the country music industry at the time.
Patsy is country music royalty. What's amazing is that she's still popular. That voice is so insanely great it seems unearthly. She was a hard living woman that was the real deal. She's sorely missed!
Both patsy Cline and hank Williams sr. Was taken from us at such an early age. Hank was only 29 and patsy was in her early 30s. Like 31 I think. And they both still are very influential for artist today. Imagine what could've been had they lived longer..thanks for keeping the music alive.
Nothing wrong with liking what mom and dad and Gran and Grandad liked! Patsy Cline, Connie Francis, Kay Starr to name just a few! Country Easy Listening from the 50s - 60s!
Pstsy felt every song she sang. She had a cry in her voice & many times she was really crying while recording. Listen to "Sweat Dreams" & "Faded Love". You won't be sorry. Many fans & artists considered Patsy Cline the greatest female Country Singer!! First hit 1957 #1"Walkin' after Midnight" to last hit (l think) 1963 #7 "Faded Love" Recorded for only 7 yrs & Patsy is still being talked about today. If Patsy was starting out today, they would of ruined her voice with autotune & taken out all the emotions she sings with.
Patsy Cline is one of the Grandmothers of Country! My two favorites of her many great hits are "Crazy" and "Never No More"...react to the second if you get a chance!
Patsy Cline was a country star from Virginia, and her career was short, but memorable... In 1961, just as her career was taking off, Patsy Cline was involved in a car accident... She was lucky to survive after being thrown through the windshield... her forehead was slashed in the crash and that is why in the video footage, she was wearing a wig and a headband to cover her injuries. Unfortunately, she did not survive the plane crash that ended her life in 1963 while she was touring... Patsy Cline left behind a husband and 2 children (R.I.P.)
She's wearing a bandana because of an injury from a head on collision, went through the windshield. She was still on crutches when they filmed it. Before that she almost died from rheumatic fever. Then the plane crash got here. Damn planes were killing so many legends back then.
It's a sad thing that this part of music history is fading. The early years of country music were some of the greatest. Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette, George Jones, Merle Haggard among others were the early pioneers. I am afraid that this era will just fade away and be forgotten.
This is why I like your channel so damn much, you react to some stuff that no one reacts too. Keep on doing what you are doing. I would absolutely love to see you React
You guys look amazing and a fantastic reaction I've really seen you guys grow in confidence since I started following you guys keep up the reactions awsome job reclezz fam
This is the original version. Willie Nelson actually wrote it. No one can beat the originals Unfortunately she died in a plane crash which was very sad.She left a husband and children. enjoy the music 🎶
She had a one of a kind voice, and you do not realize the stuff she had to go through, being a woman in c&w music she had to fight sexism, and fighting with promotors trying to cheat her! She had to be tough!
A lot of great singers died in plane crashes, February 3, 1959, known as the day the music died, Buddy Holly, Big Bopper, and Ritchie Valens were killed
Small engine airplanes were used often to fly VIP's from place to place, when commercial flights were unavailable... These small planes are not very durable in bad weather, which is why they have a history of crashes... A number of artists were killed in small engine airplane crashes - Patsy Cline, Buddy Holly /Ritchie Valens / Big Bopper, Otis Redding, Randy Rhoads (Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist)... Stevie Ray Vaughan was killed in a helicopter crash... Rick Nelson (also known as Ricky Nelson) was killed in DC-3 plane crash while on tour.

I know I’ve asked you before, but I would like to see if this song makes Kris dance. I know it will make you dance. The group is Free, the song is All Right Now. An all time favorite of mine.
Her voice is insane. Sweet dreams, walking after midnight, and I fall to pieces are other great songs by her.
Yes! This beautiful song was written by the great Willie Nelson and couldn’t have been sung more beautifully; Patsy Cline will always be a Queen ❤️ By the way, she’s wearing that headband because she has been in a very bad car accident and was covering the wound/scar
@Sue Mac You are insane
@Sue Mac Have a nice day, Sue!
Willie hit a trifecta the week he wrote this song as he wrote it. "Crazy" was one of three gigantic hits he wrote that week including "Night Life", and "(Ain't It) Funny How Time Slips Away. That's a career for most songwriters, just another week for Willie.
No music like this anymore. Her voice is all natural. What a legend. My grandma used to play this all the time. Great reaction guys.
Her voice was pitch perfect on every note. I don’t mean it was “close,” but it has been analyzed to show almost every note was exactly, perfectly where it was supposed to be. It is unheard of, even for the best singers.

When Willie Nelson wrote this song, originally it was called "Stupid" but he later changed it to "Crazy". Good move Willie.
Amazing that was a little over 60 yrs ago! She had such a soulful voice. You’d probably like Loretta Lynn’s (they were best friends) “Coal miner’s Daughter”. It’s really good too!
Willie Nelson wrote this song in the 50's. He was and is a great song writer.
There is a movie called Sweet Dreams about her life. Also, Willie Nelson wrote this song
I watched that movie dozens of times as a kid. And fell in love with Ed Harris!! Still one of my favorite movies ever!!
You definitely should listen to "walking after midnight".
"You Belong to Me" was a great song she did that people often forget about...
I was a 10 yr old boy. Everyone on the farm and neighbor farms were in tears. 1963, I watched her on TV and heard on radio with parents. I didn't know what was going on.
Her voice was like no other. No auto tune no effects just a microphone and the greatest voice ever.
Patsy Cline is one of the country royals. She layed the foundation for a lot of legendary female artists down to this day. One of my earliest memories was sitting in my booster chair, watching my parents slow dance in the kitchen to this song.
What a beautiful memory
❤
Check out her 'Sweet Dreams', and the version of it by Roy Buchanan.
Also, 'I Fall to Pieces'. We used to sing "I phone for pizza". 8>D

She just stands there, barely moving, and lets that voice do all the heavy lifting. Real talent and one of the most beautiful voices ever.

Such a voice! It is a shame that we lose good talent way before their time, due to accidents.
❤❤ Her voice was like a angel and so strong yet soft and beautiful !
She was also in a serious car crash that left a huge scar on her forehead which she tried to hide. Love that woman and she was great friends with Loretta Lynn.
I really give you a lot of credit for being willing to go outside of your comfort zone and listening with an open mind and heart to a lot of different types of music. Legendary there's only one Patsy ❤✌such a powerful voice taken to soon ❤✌
My family was not country listening family but patsy cline was the only music I would fall asleep to as a baby.
I think what Patsy was saying is that it was foolish of her to think he would stay; she was “crazy” to think she could keep him.
Patsy's otherwordly... the song 'She's Got You' is pretty emotional too.
Love Patsy....no one does heartache like her! What a rare voice....deep and full!! She Got You is a great Patsy Cline song!
It's a deep rabbit hole to go down if you get into Patsy Cline. Soulful and heartfelt songs,...
LeeAnn Rimes also did a cover of crazy when she was 14 and it was Awesome you should check it out
I've never been a fan of country music... but Patsy was the first to open my mind to some of the country artists. I LOVE her voice... Sweet Dreams is one of the top ones to showcase her vocal abilities. I Fall to Pieces and Walkin' After Midnight are awesome too! Enjoy!
Now that is talent no auto tune just all her singing. There is a movie about her called Sweet Dreams released in 1985.
I think your reactions get better and better. Thank you both, enjoy hearing how the music makes you feel.
She never had a voice lesson, that's just talent.
Walking after midnight is my favorite by Patsy, it's more up tempo.
The backup singers, The Jordanaires, and the tinkling piano player, The Great Floyd Cramer (check out his instrumental song "Last Date"), also backed up a singer by the name of ELVIS.
The song "Blue" was written for her, but she died before she could record it.

Truly one of the vocal wonders of country music may you rest in peace Patsy
A true classic.
Patsy Cline is from my hometown of Winchester Virginia and my mom went to school with her. I remember exactly where I was the day she died in the plane crash. you guys are just nailing it! her voice was legend!
Patsy was the real deal. This woman had her share of talent and then some. She was awesome!!
Patsy Cline - ALWAYS ........ YOU BELONG TO ME ...... YOU MADE ME LOVE YOU... FADED LOVE
Patsy has a voice unlike anyone else. amazing.
Experts agree - the most perfectly sung song in history.

Walkin after midnight is my fav but triangle was so fun to sing when I was a kid
Walking after midnight is my favorite Patsy Cline song!
Check out LeAnn Rimes tribute to Patsy Cline at 2013 ACAs. After all she was supposed to be the next Patsy Cline. It’s really a great performance.
When she heard she got a record contract, she said the first thing she was going to do was buy a new refrigerator. The Loretta Lynne movie "Coalminers daughter" replicates the country music industry at the time.
She sang the blues like a god
So good to see the youngsters feel the talent of dear patsy❤❤❤❤.
Patsy is country music royalty. What's amazing is that she's still popular. That voice is so insanely great it seems unearthly. She was a hard living woman that was the real deal. She's sorely missed!
She's Got You is a wonderfully beautiful song as well.
Her voice is second to none. Willie Nelson who wrote this song, said she made it her own and it was hers from that point forward.
Both patsy Cline and hank Williams sr. Was taken from us at such an early age. Hank was only 29 and patsy was in her early 30s. Like 31 I think. And they both still are very influential for artist today. Imagine what could've been had they lived longer..thanks for keeping the music alive.

Hahahahaha......”At least she was smiling.” Y’all crack me up !!!
I fell in love with this song back in 1961.. at the age of 11. It's on all of my devices 🎶😊♥️ Thanks for sharing 👍🏾
Pstsy felt every song she sang. She had a cry in her voice & many times she was really crying while recording. Listen to "Sweat Dreams" & "Faded Love". You won't be sorry. Sometimes just listening without the clips is the best way to appreciate the voice .❤❤
Patsy Cline is one of the Grandmothers of Country! My two favorites of her many great hits are "Crazy" and "Never No More"...react to the second if you get a chance!
She doesn't have much to say, he does.

Another great country artist is Jamey Johnson. Check out his videos for "High Cost of Living" and "In Color".
Here voice was amazing….think about it no auto tune, no modern day recording….all natural…just her voice
She's wearing a bandana because of an injury from a head on collision, went through the windshield. She was still on crutches when they filmed it. Before that she almost died from rheumatic fever. Then the plane crash got here. Damn planes were killing so many legends back then.
"Crazy", written by Willie Nelson when he was 19.

This is the original version. Willie Nelson actually wrote it. No one can beat the originals Unfortunately she died in a plane crash which was very sad.She left a husband and children. enjoy the music 🎶
Ah music pre auto tuning. Listen to her great phrasing. Has a great catalogue of songs despite her short career. I enjoyed the reaction.
She had a one of a kind voice, and you do not realize the stuff she had to go through, being a woman in c&w music she had to fight sexism, and fighting with promotors trying to cheat her! She had to be tough!
Patsy Cline/She's Got You STUDIO VERSION
A lot of great singers died in plane crashes, February 3, 1959, known as the day the music died, Buddy Holly, Big Bopper, and Ritchie Valens were killed
For a talented, more contemporary (90s) singer, check out LeAnn Rimes - Blue. She was 13 or 14 when she recorded it.

As good as "Crazy" is, I think her best was "Sweet Dreams". Now, Home Free does a cover of "Crazy" that really does homage to Patsy.

She's a big-time country singer.
I've been crazy about this song since I was 12
The First Lady of Country Music, as she was called.
Miss Patsy had the smokey growl.😎
This was my husband’s favorite song
I know I’ve asked you before, but I would like to see if this song makes Kris dance. I know it will make you dance. The group is Free, the song is All Right Now. An all time favorite of mine.
Listen to Lovesick Blues by her. You’ll see how versatile her voice is.
She was the first female ever.
Pantsy Cline was crazy.
Always enjoy your reviews my Hoosier friends.
She was born and raised in my home town of Winchester Virginia
It's a shame that she died too soon, I always admired her voice, a little soul in country music
