She truly adored her fans and always wrote back. No matter how she was in her personal life but she was always nice to her fans and that makes her a great star.
Fascinating! Possibly, because of the medication, Joan's guard is down a bit and we get to see a little more of a 'down to earth' Joan than we usually see. Really liked this one, Bryan. Many thanks!
This is my favorite UA-cam channel subscription! Joan is my favorite of the old Hollywood stars. Please keep sharing! All Of this footage is so precious and gives people like me who were not alive during her lifetime a very intimate connection to Joan. These long lost or forgotten gems make her feel so alive well over 40 years after her death. Joan is eternal
I'm very glad these chapters on Miss Crawford are available here on UA-cam. For 40 years she's been tarnished due to a particular film that is well known for presenting situations and events which were not true; that her eldest daughter said (herself) were not true. Hopefully these chapters are helping to set the record straight (or right) and that she won't continue to be hijacked negatively by a certain segment out there.
She is so elegant and polite with everyone. There is also something untangible around her that makes you feel fascinated about her. She is indeed a true Hollywood star!!
She had "presence". That indefinable quality that caused everyone to look when she entered a room. You never knew what she was going to do or say, but you always knew it would be right and appropriate. She had Class and Poise. She worked extremely hard for everything.
Thank you for this JC was so beautiful, poised and elegant. I so wish I could have met her, she was a remarkable lady. She was extremely wise and intelligent.Thank you for your channel.
This was cool! Her demeanor was different from what I’m accustomed to seeing. I suppose due to the meds she was taking. She comes across more relaxed and down to earth. Thanks for the great post! ✌🏻🙂✌🏻
Thank you for keep doing this job for Joan, for a little Mexican boy that I am I felt blessed to be able to see more of Joan, hope one day visit L. A or N. Y and visit iconic places where Joan live of film
This channel is fantastic! Thank you for keeping our so beautiful and talented Joan Crawford memory alive!👍 I just saw "Johnny Guitar" always a pleasure.. and right now is playing in Amazon prime.. Such an elegant western... ONLY Joan🤗🥰
Oh, how I relish every clip of this remarkable woman, the greatest movie star. This one is especially dear to me as she is in my home state of Mississippi.
Oh how I cry watching this! How I wish I could’ve given her a kiss too! She’s just too too precious and I love her so much my entire life I’ve loved her! Forgive me. Can’t help it!
Can you even imagine Joan as Klaus Kinski's mother?!!! She wound up not doing the movie ("The Bastard" - a title she disliked) and Rita Hayworth was placed in the part.
Thank you for this clip; always want to hear of Joan's thoughts regarding her craft; not sure if Mamacita was the first lady given flowers who spoke; did the movie Joan speak of ever get made? Joan, you were good at all you attempted, I go to your 1930s movies especially for comfort.
Mamacita can be seen in the background in the first seconds of the footage at the airport. The film Joan was to do was called "The Bastard." It was made, but Rita Hayworth did the the role. More details on this film can be found here: www.theconcludingchapterofcrawford.com/missedopportunities_bastard.html
@@TheConcludingChapterofCrawford Very interesting.. she SHOULD have obviously had top billing. No-brainer, IMO. And the title was lewd. I can do without Joan in this one, although I hate to miss any opportunity to see her perform again !
Thank you!! Another great piece of nostalgia and your noting of the prescription medication affecting Joan's cloudiness was important in order to dissuade commenters from suggesting that the Pepsi bottle was spiked with 100 proof Smirnoff. I'm a bit confused about the 2 sons?
The "two sons" is regarding the film she was slated to do in Rome, Italy. She backed out of it due to issues with the producer. In the film, she has two sons who are criminals (though, here in the interview, she refers to them as "hippies").
I don't discuss politics or religion! If only these sorry excuse for actresses we have today would follow the same ideology, I'm so sick of them always trying to shove their political beliefs down my throat!
I made a video interview of Joan Crawford's assistant named May Vee (spelling?). She had much to say and showed many pictures and letters from Crawford. The camera zoomed in on the letters. I wonder what this is worth?
@@TheConcludingChapterofCrawford - Wild guess; Mamacita is the older lady that leaves the screen to the left by 0:45? I'm glad to see the real one, finally.
I love Joan Crawford god bless her they need to due right by her and do a Netflix series on her amazing life story

I agree. Her daughter destroyed her work and reputation for so many.

Great advice from Joan Crawford.
I loved her in "Autumn Leaves." That movie is rarely mentioned. As usual she was outstanding.
Agree 100% - just recently saw it - and it´s very moving!
Going to check it out! :)
The typewriter seen scared the poop out of me when I was little I could literally feel the pain

Thanks for the vid clip. Love Joan crawford movies. The movie she talks about, she dropped out of and rita hayworth replaced her.

Wonderful that she was against hippies cause I am too 😂
Still so beautiful here and this was before all the botox and surgeries todays wax looking actresses get. JC was pure class!

Great actress
I thought mamacita could not speak English? That woman at the start talks perfect English??
The lady speaking at the beginning of the clip isn't Mamacita. However, Mamacita can be seen in the background.
