Doris Lily is kind of creepy. Trying to get into a stranger's apartment, writing about her after she died like she was a friend, I'm glad I'm not famous and I don't have people trying to get into my house uninvited.

Joan was more than likely on Hospice, which is why Princess was removed..To say JC committed suicide is very insensitive on Lilly's part.
Joan Crawford was a " damn " good actress. She owed the public ( and this woman) nothing, yet she still gave of herself. Her brilliance outshines all rumors and speculation.
The television interviewer asked Doris Lilly what evidence she had that Joan Crawford committed suicide and then let her prattle on at length without offering any evidence whatsoever. The interviewer failed in her duty to elicit the information she asks for, thus failing in her duty to her audience. This is very unprofessional.

To me, Ms. Lilly was trying to pass herself off as a Joan wannabe, very jealous of her - she has her face made up like Joan's but offsets it with Alice in Wonderland type hair to add an air of "innocence". Although it sounds coincidental that Joan passed on her wedding anniversary & that she gave her precious dog away a few days prior to her passing, I think Joan sensed she would soon pass away even though she wasn't seeking active or at least not seeking aggressive medical care (she resumed adhering to her Christian Science beliefs a couple of years prior) and wanted to make sure that the dog she loved very much had the best possible trustworthy person to take care of her. Too bad Cathy (who had the resources) didn't know about this interview or she could have sued Ms. Lilly's ass for libel (usually suicide is considered to be a crime so by making that claim without absolute evidence she was calling Joan a criminal, not to mention sullying her memory). Thank heavens Ms. Lilly has subsequently passed away so she can't harm any one else's memory.
This woman is full of horse crap. Joan didn’t go out because she didn’t want the public seeing her sick. Joan had a strong sense of dignity and didn’t want to let the fans down. She knew she was dying, and she saw to it herself that her beloved Princess was passed on to a loving home. I’m sure that brought her comfort in her final days. Sounds like she was jealous of Joan's $ and fame and also might have been trying to mess up her childrens' abiility to collect on life insurance (depending on where someone lives in the US there is a suicide clause in life insurance policies that are in effect the 1st one or two years a policy is active - if someone commits suicide during that period of time the company does not have to pay off the proceeds, just return the paid premiums to the beneficiary without interest being added).
